i actually do think it’s criminal that not only did jack become god when they were only three, but also they became god before they’ve ever even had a forehead kiss by any of their parent figures. CRIMINAL.

Last thing: “He cared about the whole world because of Dean, but that doesn’t automatically mean that Dean is his whole world.” NOo I said that Dean was Cas’ primary motivator. Not that he’s isolated to dean alone. Cas’ character arc from Lucifer rising to Despair was about the love he found by being inspired to care bc of a man. It’s totally inseparable from that imho

Well to me I think Dean used to be his primary motivator. But once he became a father, that focus turned to Jack and the promise he made to Kelly. Dean and Sam are still his main squeezes but, as I mentioned before, he had an entirely different purpose from season 13 onward.

I see what you mean, though, in that none of Cas's character arc from stone-cold robot to loving father would have happened if he had never raised Dean from perdition. But the man had his doubts already and Dean just gave him that vital push in the right direction.

I don't blame Cas for giving Dean all that credit, though. I think Dean's little speech in Lucifer Rising was the one speech that turned Castiel into Cas.

This doesn't mean that I should think Dean should be Cas's only romantic option, though :') I still think Cas deserves to be treated better, and not with anger and "tough love". And I'm fine with whomever, even Dean, as long as it's not whatever energy that was from 14x17 - 15x03, because no matter how forgiving Cas is, that's not healthy 😌
