I highly doubt that tumblr cares about the genocide being committed against the people of Gaza, but I’m going to share this drawing here anyway.
This drawing is inspired by Fairouz’s song that is called Wahdon “only them”. Originally a poem written by Lebanese poet Talal Haidar, who dedicated his poem to three young Palestinian freedom fighters who were killed while carrying out a mission in Occupied Palestine.
The intention behind this drawing is a form of sending my deepest condolences toward the victims in Gaza and Palestine.
“Fairuz in San Francisco” (1972), a live recording of music from the Lebanese play “Nass Men Warak” (Paper People), at the Masonic Memorial Temple in San Francisco, 1971. It was the last stop on her first-ever North American tour, which began at Carnegie Hall in New York City, and took her to 10 cities across the United States, as well as Montréal and Mexico City.
Zahrat al Madaen by Lebanese singer Fairouz is a song that was released following the Naksa in 1967 or the “six day war” calling for the liberation of Jerusalem and its people
