Here's a little fun fact about Cupid: on his ring finger in his right hand, he is missing the top half of it. How did he lose it? He lost it when he was a kid to a nasty gecko bite. This fact is pretty pointless just like his finger.

I forgot that I had this commissioned AGES AGO (7 years???) for a Fallout TTRPG I was playing in.

Her name is Phyllis Abernathy.

I won’t bore anyone with the tragic TTRPG backstory, but girlie ended up doing all of the drugs in a police precinct evidence locker before a boss fight because she was living on 5 HP and a fucking dream.

This piece was meant to be fully rendered, but I ran into roadblocks where I needed a different strategy in rendering as my current technique is sloppy and inconsistent. I will most likely return to this piece in the future, but by that time, I will most likely redraw the entire piece

WIP Wednesday

For today’s WIP Wednesday I am showcasing a WIP of my latest chapter illustration. I started with this vintage comic book style and once I figured it out I’m sorta floored by how fast it is to draw these. I guess for weekly comics you have to have a fast turn around time.

Oversee Us Ch 16: Tell Them I Won’t Be Long

You have the dream again that Bill’s a ghoul. You start the dream the same way you've spent 1,467 days of your previous life: drinking caffeinated tang from a Vault-Tech mug. The systems map glows a pleasant green. All good. All set up the way you'd like.

There's a prompt on the console screen: Motion detected at the upper vault doors. You have to tear your eyes from the sys map but just for a small moment. You walk over to the video phone on the wall, toggle the camera and pick up the accompanying phone from the cradle.

A raw, skull-like face with sunken eyes is distorted by the fisheye lens of the front gate topside camera. Somehow you know it's your husband. You're puzzled. You just saw him this morning. He made waffles for you and Benjamin. He pretended to trip theatrically while distributing the sliced strawberries and dropped more onto Benjamin's plate. You all had a silly laugh about that. Bill is the king of silly laughs. “Bill? But I just saw you. I'll be home at lunch.”

He doesn't have his sandy hair and beard but the way his mouth moves is unmistakably his own. “We’re all locked outside. Please let us in.”
