This month, it will have been 10 years (one decade) since Craig McCracken made a pitch for Season 3 of Wander Over Yonder, several months before Disney turned it down. While we wait for Craig to finish up whatever he’s been working on since he left Netflix (specifically, Foster’s Funtime for Imaginary Friends), let’s ask ourselves:
How do we get SaveWOY and other related material back on track in an effort to convince Disney to give WOY proper closure?
In other words…
How do we renew interest in reviving WOY?
Thanks to a user on a SaveWOY Facebook group, we have the information to explain it all…
Remember that Securing Disney’s approval is just Step 1, but to truly make a Wander Over Yonder revival work, we need Craig McCracken and the original creative team on board. Without them, the show risks losing what made it special in the first place.
STEPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL WOY REVIVAL
STEP 1: CONVINCE DISNEY TO GREENLIGHT THE PROJECT
• Show Disney that WOY still has a passionate fanbase and potential for success.
• Push for Disney+ as the ideal home, where revivals like The Clone Wars and The Proud Family have thrived.
• Emphasize the unfinished story—Disney knows that fan outcry for closure (Gravity Falls, The Owl House) can influence decisions.
STEP 2: ENSURE CRAIG MCCRACKEN & KEY CREATORS ARE INVOLVED
• Craig McCracken’s Approval is Crucial. WOY is his vision—without him, it wouldn't be the same. His presence ensures consistency in tone, characters, and storytelling.
• Other Key Members Needed - Jack McBrayer (Wander): His voice defines Wander’s character—recasting him would be a mistake.
Andy Bean (Composer): His music shaped WOY’s energy and emotional moments.
Other Writers & Animators: The humor, heart, and art style need the original team’s touch.
STEP 3: CAMPAIGN FOR THEIR RETURN
• If Disney says yes to a revival, the next step is getting Craig and his team excited about returning.
• Make it clear to Disney that a WOY revival must have the original team to succeed.
BOTTOM LINE
Getting Disney’s approval is the first major hurdle, but without Craig McCracken and his team, a third season wouldn’t be the same. Fans need to push for WOY’s return with the original creative team intact to preserve its heart and magic!
But that’s not all.
WHY THIS MATTERS FOR GAINING MORE SUPPORT
1. Clarifying That WOY Wasn’t Meant to End at Season 2 - Some potential supporters might think WOY had a proper ending, so they don’t see the need for a revival.
The campaign needs to spread awareness that Craig McCracken had a full third season planned and that the final episode wasn’t a real conclusion.
2. Attracting Fans of Other Shows That Got Proper Closures - Fans of shows like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, or The Owl House—all of which got finales—might not feel the urgency to fight for WOY unless they understand that it was left unfinished.
Making the case that WOY deserves the same closure as those shows can help gain their support.
3. Using Other Fan Revivals as Inspiration - Campaigns like Young Justice and The Clone Wars proved that strong fan demand can bring back shows, even years later.
Showing that WOY has unfinished business makes the case even stronger—this isn’t just nostalgia, it’s about completing the story.
WHAT FANS CAN DO NOW
• Emphasize the Cliffhanger: Social media campaigns should highlight that WOY never got its intended ending.
Posts, videos, and petitions should stress that Season 2 was not a real finale.
• Engage Fans of Other Shows: Get Gravity Falls, Owl House, and Amphibia fans interested by framing WOY as the next show that needs proper closure.
Many of those fans already fought for extended content and could help boost the movement.
• Create Buzz Around Craig’s Original Plan: More people need to know that a fully planned Season 3 existed, but Disney shut it down.
Spreading concept art, old interviews, and Craig’s vision for Lord Dominator’s arc could build more excitement.
BOTTOM LINE
The more people understand that WOY wasn’t actually completed, the easier it will be to get broader fan support. The campaign needs to educate people on the cliffhanger and show why a Season 3 or TV movie is necessary to give the series the ending it deserves!
I couldn’t have said it all better myself.

POLL: Lord Dominator's Fate in Season 3?
Dominator was supposed to be a "big part of the Season 3 plan." That begs the question: If it had aired, would her character arc lead her to be "Wanderized" and redeemed like Hater? Or, is she doomed to be a bully forever, no matter what happens?
What's YOUR opinion? Try to vote based on what you think is most likely, not what you want to happen.

No, you’re NOT a real cartoon fan. I’m so sick of all these people who think they're cartoon fans. No, you’re not. Most of you are not even close to being cartoon fans. I see these people saying “I rewatched this cartoon over 100 times, it’s great!” that’s nothing, most of us can easily watch all our cartoons 300+ times. I see people only know "The Simpsons" and claim to be cartoon fans. Come talk to me when you‘ve watched a single episode of Sonic X and we can be friends. Also DEAR ALL TUMBLR USERS: My adventures with superman is not a real cartoon. Owl house is not a real cartoon. Wander over yonder is not a real cartoon. Amphibia is not a real cartoon. Gravity falls is not a real cartoon. Milo murphy's law is NOT.A.REAL.CARTOON. put down the baby shows and watch something that requires challenge and thought for once. Sincerely, all of the ACTUAL cartoon fans.

Ok so like Wander Over Yonder is literally my favourite cartoon, and let me tell you I am a huge cartoon fan. So that's a big reason for me not giving up on it. I love these characters and I want to see them get into more hijinks, I want to know more about them, but I think the biggest reason stems from the fact that I just want everyone who worked on WOY to get to finish their story. It's clear that they weren't done and that they had a lot of passion for the show, and I think they deserve to get to finish the story, not just for us, but for them.

“What Wander Over Yonder-themed holiday sets and decorations would you like to make\see?” Question by @signor-signor.
Wander Over Yonder and Christmas could go amazing together, here are some ideas I thought of:  Christmas stockings could be fun to see WOY themed. I can imagine them featuring the characters respective symbols, a green stocking with a star for Wander, a blue stocking with a saddle\saddle blanket for Sylvia, a black stocking with a red lightning bolt for Commander Peepers, a red and black stocking for Lord Hater and a green stocking with a red heart on it for Lord Dominator. (Cause she’s THE bad guy!) or maybe stocking with all the characters smiling at you. (Minus Peepers because he is an eyeball. LOL!)
A book adaptation of The Night Before Christmas.
Christmas cards with the characters doing fun activities. (Making cookies, wrapping presents, singing Christmas carols, etc.)
The Hater wreath from The Gift as a real Christmas wreath.
A WOY advent calendar.
WOY themed Christmas cookies. (Like the Pillsbury’s sugar cookies they released every year.) Maybe they can have Wander’s hat on them.
Wander Over Yonder snow globes.
I would love to make Wander and Sylvia ornaments or maybe a Countdown to Christmas paper chain.
And last but not lest, a WOY Dreidel for Hanukkah.

To answer @signor-signor's question: "What are your ideas for filler episodes for S3?", I've actually had these lying in my draft for a few months, but I decided to finish them off for their question
The shedding Season
I remember hearing somewhere that the original idea for the episode "The Sick Day" was for Sylvia to go through her moulting, but Wander was too in her face the entire time, so they scrapped the idea and went with the idea of Wander getting sick (I genuinely forgot where I heard this so if anyone knows the source or if this is misinformation please tell me). I decided to repurpose the idea of Wander shedding instead.
Synopsis: The episode starts with Sylvia waking up and finding a note where Wander was sleeping. The note tells her that he'll be gone for a day or two, but it also says where he is: that being a cave on a nearby planet. She travels there and coaxes him out of his hiding spot. He comes out with incredibly disheveled fur and parts of it scattered on the floor (que title card). Wander embarrassedly explains that it's his shedding season, and that he often just hides in a cave whilst waiting for it to finish, as he finds it abhorrently humiliating. Sylvia comforts him and says that she moults sometimes, and that she perfectly understands what he's going through.
He decides that he's making a massive fuss out of this, and travels into a nearby town. Wander helps some of the civilians whilst struggling to hide his constant shedding- he hides this by putting on more and more layers of clothing. Soon enough, a local gang come along to stir up some trouble, and obviously Wander tries to stop them. Sylvia loses Wander and he gets chased by the gang and loses his clothes through shenanigans™.
We don't see Wander on screen, but it's implied that he's completely bald now due to the gang's reaction. Sylvia quickly scoops up Wander and takes him away from the town. He immediately hides in a bush in shame. One furry member of the gang finds the duo and apologises for their actions, stating that they shed too. They hand Wander's clothes back and leave. Sylvia makes a comment to Wander on how that kid might help the gang to change their ways. The next day comes, and Wander emerges from the bushes with a fresh new coat of fur, albeit a little scruffy. Sylvia remarks how fast it grew and Wander brushes it off by saying that his fur grows quickly. The episode ends with Sylvia mentioning that her moulting is coming up.
The Cabin Fever
I honestly really liked the slice of life episodes (eg, The Nice Guy or The Brainstorm ) where not much happens, but we still get to explore the characters. As someone said: "There's no bad plot or setting, just bad characters." There'd still be some action otherwise the kids would get bored.
Synopsis: Sylvia and Wander enter what appears to be a hotel room (more specifically an inn) covered in snow, which the two shake off. Sylvia is wearing proper winter clothing, whereas Wander's wearing nothing but his usual clothes and looking likes he's about to freeze to death. Sylvia sets Wander on the floor and he immediately snaps out of his hypothermia and looks up at her. Before he can get a single word in, she interrupts him every time he tries to talk, going on repeatedly about how reckless he is and how he's so sure that he'll never get hurt ever. Wander gets rightfully hurt but before he can argue, or at least apologise, Sylvia states that she's going to get supplies whilst they wait for thr storm to settle, and demands that Wander stays in the inn. He sputters out a laugh and says that he can't be grounded because he's an adult, but Sylvia retorts by saying that he didn't act like one earlier. The door gets slammed on his face and he storms off to a nearby couch (que title card).
Wander, being as optimistic as he is, tells himself that she's not doing this to be spiteful or mean, and decides to go out to talk to Sylvia despite her request. He leaves the room and right before he can leave the inn, he's stopped by the innkeeper who mistakes him for a child as ushers him back into his room, the entire 'conversation' consists of Wander being patronised, infantilised and interrupted. Realising that he can't leave, he decides to keep himself occupied whilst he waits for her, which he believes will allow both of them to cool off and talk things through.
He first looks around in every room before finding a bookcase and reading every book there. He finds himself getting tired but he decides not to sleep until Sylvia gets back due to some backward thinking. He tries to take out his banjo but for some reason his hat gives him a pillow. He tries multiple times but keeps ending up with items to help someone sleep. He then asks his hat nicely if he could have his banjo, despite both him and it knowing that he needs to sleep, but his hat only gives him a glass of warm milk to spite him. He starts to feel irritated that no one's listening to him and starts contemplating if he should sneak out. He argues to himself that he'd be disrespecting Sylvia, but another part of him claims that he's a grown man who can do what he wants. He continues to wrestle with the urge until he hears rock music and Hater's voice from outside.
He gives up and climbs out the window to ""say hello to Hater"". After a few moments of him wandering through the town and helping some of the civilians, he's spotted by Sylvia who starts running after him, Wander runs away after realising how much trouble he's in. His immediate reaction is to run to Hater but when he sees him gearing up for an attack, he runs in a different direction- which leads him back to Sylvia. This carries on until he reaches the tongue of the Skullship. Cornered by the two, he jumps in a moment of fear, leading him to plunge into an icy river. Sylvia gasps in fear and jumps after him. Hater- who's vibe has been ruined- calls off the attack and leaves.
We see Wander slowly wake up in his perspective. He looks himself over and notices that he's back in the inn and that he's pretty banged up (bandages and whatnot). The perspective goes back to 3rd person and we see Sylvia. When he realises that she's there, he turns back over and pretends to be asleep- she tells him that she knows he's awake. He slowly sits up and begins to profusely apologise for his actions, Sylvia apologises for her being too strict earlier and not explaining why he had to stay. Wander accepts the apology and tells her that he should've understood that it was for his own good. Sylvia then says that he still had a right to know either way, instead of just saying "because I said so". The two hug it out and decide to explore the town later, after Wander heals up a bit more, so he doesn't get worse by accident.

Once upon a time, Disney actually cared about Wander Over Yonder during S1’s run, as evidenced by Craig McCracken’s Tumblr post from November of 2014.
Craig asked us fans to watch the show legally, but sometime after November 2014 and before July 2015, somebody didn’t get the message and made Disney think no one cared.
Looking back on this post, I came up with a couple of questions.
One: Did Daron Nefcy, the Houghton Bros., Matt Braly, and Dana Terrace also have to tell the viewers to watch SvtFoE, BCG, ‘Phibia, and TOH, respectively, legally?
Two: Who or what was responsible for WOY’s mediocre viewership and for denying faithful fans the knowledge of what happens after S2?
Tumblr media
Hello fellow Wanderers,
It really means a lot to me that you can’t wait to watch the new episodes.  But you have to understand that by watching illegial uploads of International Broadcasts for free online does nothing to help the show in the eyes of Disney.
Because they don’t know you’re watching!
So if you love Wander and want it to continue please (if you can) watch it on the Channel, DVR it from the Channel, or watch it on the Disney Watch app. Because the more Disney can track viewers, the more they’ll know you’re watching, and the more they’ll want to make more for you to watch!
For the record, there is no threat of Wander being cancelled. Disney loves the show, they are behind it 100%, and are really, really excited for Season 2.
As Wander would say “It never hurts to help” so help him out by watching the show in a way that Disney knows you’re out there! That way we can all keep Wandering around the universe for a long time to come!
Thanks for hearing me out,
Craig

There was no Volcanium X left in the galaxy for Dominator to rebuild with, and circumstances prevented her from seeking out more.
However, after giving up villainy, she began learning to build (less evil) tech with other materials. And eventually, there was an opportunity to wear something... familiar.

This is revisiting a lost project from May 2024 💀 Back then, I made art for older versions of their outfits, and nearly finished a short wedding comic, but nothing was posted in the end...
Will you forgive me... if I leak a few panels?

Upcoming Trending 27th - March 2025
The last day of March is coming up, and you know what that means: time for a Craig McCracken related topic!
We know he brought up the existence of S3 about 9 years ago. He even described the purpose of the Star Nomad, what the main four would be doing, and Star Force Enforcement Force (keeping it to a minimum, of course). Even so, the man still knows more than he let on, so my question for the month is…
On what piece or pieces of S3 information would you like Craig McCracken to expand?
Whatever you wish to know more about, it can be anything, just as long as it’s related to S3. And thanks to @frogkicks, we have a WOY Wiki page of S3 that covers all we’ve accumulated thus far, including the handful of hints dropped by Francisco Angones (hope he hasn’t completely given up on WOY).
And yes, Craig is still working on Foster’s Funtime and developing the proper PPG revival/reboot.
Post the topic on the 27th of March at 8pm EST/28th of March at 1am GMT. If you’re unsure of what time it is in your local time, you can use https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/ to help you.
Make sure you tag Wander Over Yonder, SaveWOY, and other tags as well, because the first 20 tags show up in searches, making your post easier to find for those who might not know about T27th. If you’d like, you can also tag FinishWOY.
If you have one or more social media apps in addition to Tumblr, then you’re welcome to make a T27th post on it, too.
If you’ve got any suggestions for a T27th topic, feel free to DM me.
There are no bad suggestions.
Please reblog if you like this post

WOY Treading 27th - June 2024 “What gives you the motivation for not giving up on Wander Over Yonder?”
Oh, boy, where do I begin?
First of all, I can say without a doubt, Wander Over Yonder is one of my favorite Disney cartoons! Plus, it turned me into a huge Jack McBrayer and Craig McCracken fan. NTM, I’ve herd Jack’s voice before, thanks to two lovable characters I obsessed with a lot when I was a kid…
My first Jack McBrayer role I was introduced to was Irving from Phineas and Ferb. Trust me, ever since I encountered this character, I wanted to watch all the episodes he appeared in and boy, I couldn’t get enough of this guy! It led me to become a huge fan of Irving as well as a fan of Fix-it-Felix Jr. from Wreak-it-Ralph. I even remember back in early 2013, me and my mom were watching WIR in my bedroom on my mini-screen flat TV, and the moment I herd Felix spoke, I kept going, “That’s Irving!”  But whenever I encountered Wander, I knew this would be a show that I’d grown to love and cherish as many, many other WOY fans. And I’m also awaiting the big day will get to see the S3 Craig McCracken and his hard working crew will come together to give this universe and all of us in the fandom one final send off!
When I think of things to keep me motivated for Wander Over Yonder, here are some few things that come to mind:
The T-Shirts.
I love wearing T-Shirts with Wander on them along with him and Sylvia. Also, I even have a shirt that has The Phantomime. The Wander t-shirts are my favorites because I love wearing one of them I own every day! They make me happy. Plus, it helps me remember this wonderful show and character too.  The Fanart.
I’ve drawn TONS of WOY fanart over the years, even crossover artwork. I love drawing Wander, Sylvia, both of them together, or just various other characters from the show. And, everyone knows by now that I also have a crazy obsession with drawing fanart of The Lonely Planet and The Heebie Jeebies. (Trust me, I draw a LOT of drawings based on these two episodes 24.7.)
Here is some WOY artwork that I’ve drawn:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(My style has certainly changed since 2014.)
But aside my drawings, another thing that keeps me motivated for Wander is…
The Rewatching.
I LOVE watching WOY on Disney+. I remembered beginning to start binge watching the entire series while at a friends house one day. It felt like visiting old friends again. Loads of months later, I got through the entire series, it was a fantastic experience. I never thought that this show brought back so many memories for me and it certainly did, and I LOVED IT!!  The Fan Made Merchandise.
Even though Disney won’t give us merchandise for the show, (unless you count WOY being in Disney’s Personalized Shop on DisneyStore.com.) the fan made merchandise that the fans make is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I’ve collected fan T-shirts, thanks to Redbubble, I have a WOY mouse pad, a WOY iPad case with Wander on the front:
Tumblr media
A huge shelf containing my WOY collection, including the Craig McCracken 2007 Wander Sketchbook as well as a signed transcript of The Greatest and The Egg signed by Jack McBrayer, also, I have a signed picture of Jack as Kenneth Parcell from 30 Rock:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And let’s not forget my Wander plushie:
Tumblr media
I’ve loved him since the day I got him back in 2015. But that’s another story.  As a Wanderer myself, I will still keep WOY alive and well with my fanart, my collection, my screenshots I take of the show, my crossovers I make and my posts I post about on Tumblr about this Wanderful show until Disney decides to give Craig McCracken another chance at it so that he can end Wander HIS way!
And until that happens…
We are here.
We are waiting.  #SaveWOY #FinishWOY

Hello! I wanted to share something!
I was granted full rights to Wander Over Yonder Wiki. My best contributions were polishing the pages for Monkeyboy and the Star Nomad, and I wrote an entire new page for Season 3!
It's (likely) the most comprehensive and up-to-date source available. There's over 40 citations, some as recent as 2023. If you or anybody else notices missing info before I do, feel free to tell me or edit it in yourself.
Enjoy! 🩷
Ah, so that’s where a fellow Facebook group member got that image of the S3 page! Thank you for putting it together.
I’m 100% certain that SFEF are the threat of S3, but we have yet to get official word from Craig and/or one of the crew members to confirm it.

It's been 10,000 years since I took part in the greatest cartoon in the galaxy with the greatest community in the interwebs💗 You guys couldn't even fathom at how much this show about a sentient orange sock puppet means to me.
Here's to another century of not getting that 3rd season we wanted... and for Wander as well! ~⭐★✨✧💫✶🌠☆🌟

Trending 27: DISCONTINUED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Let’s be honest. This Trending 27th thing is getting us nowhere. It’s become abundantly clear to me that many WOY fans have not been participating every month as often as they used to during SaveWOY’s heyday. For that reason, I’ll be putting it on hold until someone actually shares an idea worth using.
Instead, when June 27th comes along, we’ll not only acknowledge The End of the Galaxy’s 9th anniversary, but we’ll share many thoughts on why the show is still far from complete, what we thought caused its misfortune, and how we can go about getting more S3 information. Sometimes I wonder what Peepsqueak is up to. I feel the campaign has been in disarray when this person left social media platforms. Still, we always look out for each other.
On another note, our good friend, Grottomatic, recently uploaded his song with updated vocals around Craig’s birthday. It’s also available on Spotify and iTunes. Hope it gives you the motivation to take action.
