#First poll ever yayyyy

Okay guys so, I know you won't believe me but my next fic is almost ready!! Yayyyy!

I wanted to keep it a surprise until I posted it but I have a big problem and I need your help. The idea for this fic was always a one-shot in my mind, it was conceived as such and I wanted to keep it that way. But like always, I got carried away and it became quite long, but I still wanted to post it as a one-shot. But then my biggest fear came true, as I was doing the final edits and revisions and preparing the formatting here on Tumblr, guess what?? It was SO long that I exceeded the limit for a Tumblr post ((It's literally 29K (yes, you read that right), did I or did I not tell you all that I was writing?)) 😭😭 And I don't know what to do because I really don't have the heart to split it up into two parts or a few of them, but I don't know what else I can do!! Does anyone know any other alternative to be able to post here on Tumblr? I know I can try to have less paragraphs but that would break the rhythm and flow of the story. I am seriously DEVASTATED that I am going to have to divide it into parts

Although maybe it's for the best since maybe most people prefer to read in parts rather than a super long fic all in one go (couldn't be me jskslsl)

“God, I don’t think you can look at her any more down bad than you already do right now.” Jake picks at his food, and despite his concentration directed towards the olives on his pizza, he’s able to dodge the flying loaded nacho that goes his way, even if he wasn’t the one with superpowers.

“Can you shut up?” Riki grumbles, laying his head on his arms as he watches you smile and point to something. “I just got pummeled into a semi truck last night. Let me have this before I die in a week.”

“Very grim,” his friend notes, ruffling the younger’s hair. “I think this is exactly what all of those mental health assemblies that we get are for.” And Riki basically tunes him out, too tired to fight and too used to the teasing remarks to come up with anything useful in response.

Riki sits up a bit, letting his head rest on his propped elbow as he looks at the school food and touches another nacho gingerly. “Y’know, I read the book for English so she wouldn’t think I’m an idiot.”

His friend snickers, successfully pulling out yet another sliced olive from the cheese, much to the disgust of Riki. “She probably already thinks you’re an idiot.”

The superhero debates throwing another cheesy nacho in Jake's face, before deciding to eat it instead. “Don’t say that asshole! You make it seem like I have no chance with her.”

Jake shoots him an exasperated look that makes Riki break eye contact. “That’s because you don’t.”

“I’ll prove to her that I’m worth her time.” Riki says somewhat wistfully, still stealing glances from a few tables away. “Maybe I’ll ask her out to prom, show up to her balcony in my suit. Do that cheesy upside kiss shit people say Spiderman does.” When his friend raises an eyebrow at him, Riki shrugs. “I will! Well-maybe not the Spiderman thing, but prom definitely.”

Jake continues to look at him unconvinced as he takes a bite out of a slice of pizza with mangled cheese. “You barely talk to her in class and you think you can ask her out to prom as Nishimura Riki?” And the younger grins, his eyes still stuck on how your eyes crinkle and how your shoulders shake with laughter.

“Yup.” And his fate is sealed, just like that.

“Are you going to prom, Riki?” Is the first thing you ask when he sits down, grabbing his book and laptop with a little too much enthusiasm.

“I’m thinking about it.” Yeah- whatever confidence he had 37 minutes ago really isn’t serving him well in this moment, because frankly, Riki feels lame as ever trying to be nonchalant around you. “You?”

“I’d have to set up, so I would be there, yes. But whether or not I have a date is another story.” You smile to lighten the mood, but Riki watches you and nods, focusing back on signing into his laptop and getting his notes.

“Well, you’re not the only single one here.” And he wants to reprimand himself for saying something without thinking. “If someone asked, would you say yes?”

You think about it, really- because you don’t really have anyone in mind when it comes to prom if Riki’s not planning on going. “It’d have to someone I know- someone I talk to somewhat regularly. I’d be nice to be with someone who doesn’t make it awkward.”

Nishimura Riki might die from overthinking if he keeps wondering whether or not he fits that description to a tee.

for context: i made this edit as a fun little thing. i have a lot of hcs so get ready YAYYYY !!!!

the reason i picked claudia in the first place was just the fire motif around the both of them. both of them strike me as Sun Characters in the way that their passion kills them and they burn everyone around them. claudia burning bodies and spy burning gallifrey to try to escape their issues etc etc

the way i see it is claudia as koscheis daughter but not spydoc daughter. a daughter not born in love or hate but a child he had post-academy and was forced to raise out of obligation. (i saw a poll a bit ago talking ab if kosch would have a favorite child and if it would show and my personal hc is that he would be very indifferent to his children) which is why claudia is. well. “when do you ever pick me” i’m so sorry my love claudia. they both share an obsessive hatred for thirteen (spymaster well.... you know what hes like. and claudia would just hate her bc her father chases the timeless child instead of focusing on his own kids lol)

Per Gessle in 2017

You must be wondering what? Per Gessle in 2017? Or not, because surely I can write something about Per Gessle in 2017, can’t I? I’m getting closer to my lame jokes.  OK, I’m talking about the FIRST EVER Per Gessle solo album, yayyyy (and I can only hear a single birthday whistle in a very lazy way). Isn’t it exciting? Come on, it’s exciting.  I kind of heard this album last in 2013, so it has almost been 3.5 year since I last got to observe the songs in “Per Gessle”. I remember writing about it when I started “Roxette Diaries” and I need to see that too.  OK! So, listening to this 34 year old album made me realize many things which I’m pretty sure you guys also observed. But since I’ve already heard this album many times in the past, so I didn’t find it that “Unexciting” and “boring” as it was when I heard it for the first time. VERY different from the genre of Gyllene Tider, totally experimental and a trailer to his music for the coming 2-3 years. It has a touch of country, folk and adult contemporary.  - There is quite a lot of Marie Fredriksson in this album, but she was the Helena Josefsson in this album: In duets and in backing vocals. I do wonder if Per and Marie in 1983 even thought of making Roxette in the coming years? - OK, so “Mesmerizing” was the word in the “Charm School” days, “Getting hit by a truck” was the favorite line in the “Room Service” days, similarly, in 1983, Per was in love with the “syrenernas tid” which in English means “The Lilacs’ Time”. - On the album cover, Per looks like a Hobbit. He really does!! - The album is over all mature and grown up compared to the stuff which Per wrote for Gyllene Tider. Per really isn’t a fan of talking about this album much, and yet it has songs which make way more sense than any other Gyllene Tider song. I do wonder why Per sort of gives an impression as if this album was a big mistake. - This album is a introduction to how “The Heartland Cafe” would sound.  -  “ På Väg” has been sung with Mr. Nikalas Stömstedt, who I got to know about a few days back. Not bad, not bad at all.  - “Fiskarnas Tecken” is a really non-Per Gessle song, but listen to the guitar solo carefully, and I bet you’ll hear a bit of “Hey Mr. DJ Won’t Your Play (Another Love Song)” in it. HIGHLY Recommended for your observation.  I didn’t even bother translating the songs this time, but I can tell that there are not many bubblegum love songs in it. At least this is how I judged from the music.  AND did you know that this album has been made without the help of ANY Gyllene Tider guys. Not even MP, which was a bit of a shock, since there are a few guitar riffs which felt like they were being played by him.  The album credits the following people: -Per Gessle - Guitar & Harmonica -Janne Bark - Guitar -Shakin Björne Bostrom - Autoharp -Backa Hans Eriksson - Bass -Marie Fredriksson - Vocals -Kjell Johansson - Banjo -Nane Kvillsäter - Guitar -Lasse Lindbom - Guitar -Hasse Olsson - Organ & Piano -Magnus Persson - Drums & Percussion -Christina Puchinger - Harp -Mats Rosen, Padal Steel -Diamond Rio - Piano & Organ -Reg Ward - Sax -Kjell Öhman – Accordion How many of them do you know, except Per Gessle, Marie Fredriksson and Lasse Lindbom. OK, so just read what I wrote about the album in 2013, and some thought really have not changed. (That is probably one of those rare moments when I have read something I wrote here, that too THIS old, weeeww). Much more different from “Party Crasher”.  On the other hand, I do wonder if Per has any plan to play any song from this first solo experiment in the coming tour.
