When you’ve been feeling too insecure to post a photo (and have been wanting to since last year), but you find your ✨fearless✨ and you post some anyway, because you’re relearning and reminding yourself that nothing and no one is perfect.😊✨ Not to mention we’re all still going through a pandemic, and if living in 2020 and 2021 isn’t fearless, then I don’t know what is. You’ll never know how much you mean to me @taylorswift!!! You and your songs go me though fake friends, bullies, heartbreak, love, and everyday life. I taught myself how to play guitar and write songs because of you. I’ve been there since the beginning: When I was 11 and screaming “Our Song” at the top of my lungs in the car on the way home from school. When my friends excluded me from their lunch table in middle school and I went home and cried to “Tied Together with a Smile”. When I was 15 and starting high school and “Fifteen” and “Hey Stephen” were my jams. When I was brave enough to play the first song I learned on guitar in my school talent show, “Breathe”. When I got bullied all through high school on how I wasn’t talented and then booked the lead in my school show junior year and sang “Mean” and was brave enough to post it on Facebook. When I got out of a toxic relationship my senior year and blasted “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” on repeat. And when I moved to New York City for college at 18 years old and two months later 1989 came out and I died over “Welcome to New York”. Your music has narrated my life so perfectly over the last 11 years, and I can’t wait for it to continue forever!! I have come so close to being able to tell you how much you mean to me so many times, but it has never happened. I’ve been wanting to tell you that I grew up 15 min from your summer home in Stone Harbor and how I sailed growing up. I’ve been wanting to tell you how you’re the reason I got into music. And I’ve been wanting to tell you that your the reason I have never given up on myself or anything that I want to do. You are my idol and I wish I could tell you that in person one day. I love you!!!
