Alamat is a six-member Pinoy boy group, consist of Mo,Taneo, Jao, R-ji, tomas and Alas. (former group member: Valfer, Gami, and kin)+

they debuted on 14th of February under Viva agency with the debut song KBYE

The 'MUHI' set of Alamat's comeback teaser photos feature head pieces by contemporary artist Leeroy New. All head pieces (personally picked by Alamat members from New's collection) feature real slurs or slogans that have been used against the Filipino from as early as late 1800s to as recent as late 2010s. The 'Muhi' set takes inspiration from the #StopAsianHate campaign, reminding our fellow Filipinos that we, too, have always been subject to hate, dehumanization and prejudice throughout history. But in spite of the hate thrown against us, we shall not be broken down. We shall persist and continue to thrive. We shall endure. For we are strong. hello po welcome po sa blog ko and thanks for sending an ask! 💗💗 to tell you the truth po hindi din naman ako super updated kasi medyo bago pa lang din naman ako sa Alamat and hindi din ako super active sa ibang socmed so I had to do a bit of digging din. Kaka panood ko pa lang nung first two singles nila tas pag tingala ko one day anim na lang sila 🥲

According to what i found out, si Kin like, after or around kbye era umalis na kaagad for personal reasons. Si Valfer naman yung sumunod last February lang this year, and the official announcement said he's "moving on to new opportunities". Lastly, si Gami (who I may be the most sad about, as someone who was mainly drawn to the group's vocals) nung March naman umalis, because of personal and mental health reasons din daw.

So far parang on good terms naman still yung mga current members and former members since may mga videos pa din naman nga akong nakita with Kin, Valfer and Gami covering more recent Alamat singles. Sayang nga lang kasi siyempre may impact talaga siya sa sound nila going from a 9/8 person group to a 6-person group.

Pero in fairness I think they're doing wonderfully given the circumstances. As a matter of fact, one of their more recent singles just became my favorite song of them (Say U Love Me). Like they've managed to keep that sound and originality that make them stand out from the rest of ppop boy groups right now, and are in fact about to release their first album, titled, 'Pasulong'. Please do check out their more recent releases and look forward to their new album! 💕💕

The Arrival of Alamat

"With the release of their debut single "kbye" on February 14th of this year, the P-pop boy group shows the rich colors of the country’s diversity through their performance. From their lyrics, heritage-filled aesthetics, use of Filipino musical instruments, and outfits, ALAMAT breathes Filipino pride into their hard work. Since they originated from various Philippine regions, the members use this chance to sing in their mother tongues, seen through “kbye.” Their first single was written using the seven other major languages in the Philippines: Tagalog, which comprises a majority of the music, and a verse each using the Ilocano, Kapampangan, Bicolano, Waray, Hiligaynon, and Bisaya languages."
