I haven't really talked much about why I left my fossil replica marketing job, and I'm not going to go into a ton of detail, but basically it was a standard case of being overworked and undervalued. Also blamed for a lot of things that weren't my fault. But a big part of it was that they just wouldn't do some of the absolute basic marketing things I asked them to do, so I was always scraping by on bare bones. Because of that we were never making a ton of money, but we were making SOME.
Anywho. Before I left they'd hired a new marketing guy that was making all sorts of pretty promises and shit.
Wanna know how many sales they've made since I left and he's been in full control?
Wanna know?
It's fucking hilarious.
Ready?
You sure?
One.
They've made ONE. In almost two months. It was for, like, $20.
I am CACKLING.
He's destroyed the website I built too. There's no more categories. The product photos look like dogshit. The "graphic design" is very much giving "I have a passion!!!"
This is great.

Coconuts are a staple food source for many people around the world, but have you ever wondered why they always seem to cost the same? That's because the price of coconuts has been locked in at zero for many years, and it all stems from a fascinating fossilisation process.
The process begins when coconuts fall from the trees and land on the ground. Over time, these fallen coconuts become buried in sand, mud, or other sediment layers. As they are buried deeper and deeper, the layers of sediment put pressure on the coconuts, causing them to become compressed.
This compression, along with the minerals in the sediment, begins to slowly mineralize the coconut, turning it into a fossil. As the process continues, the coconut's original structure is replaced by minerals, creating a perfect replica of the original coconut. In some cases, the fossilisation process can take thousands or even millions of years to complete.
So, why does this process keep the price of coconuts at zero? Well, the answer lies in the fact that these fossilised coconuts are no longer edible. They have been transformed into a hard, stone-like material, making them impossible to open and extract the tasty meat inside.
Because they are no longer a viable food source, these fossilised coconuts have no market value, and therefore, are priced at zero. This also means that the supply of coconuts on the market is essentially constant and unchanging, leading to a stagnant price.
But the story doesn't end there. Fossilised coconuts, also known as "coconut fossils," have become prized collectibles in some parts of the world. Due to their unique appearance and rarity, some people are willing to pay high prices for these fossilised fruits, making them valuable in the world of art and décor.
In addition to being used as collectibles, fossilised coconuts also have practical uses. They can be used as paperweights, bookends, or even ground up for use in cosmetics and beauty products.
So, the next time you see a coconut for sale and wonder why the price is always zero, remember the fascinating fossilisation process that created it. While it may not be suitable for eating, a fossilised coconut serves as a unique and interesting reminder of nature's power to transform and preserve.

5 tips to make your inbound marketing strategy more effective
Getting people to choose your products or services from competitors is not an easy task, and that's why in the digital world nothing can be left to chance and every company should have an always up-to-date marketing strategy.
Tumblr media
In particular, when customers, or potential customers, look for news about the company or product online , one must be ready to capture their attention , providing useful and engaging results, which lead them to the website and therefore to purchase.

The concept of Inbound Marketing is based precisely on this: the possibility of being found by the consumer in a natural way. The consumer of today is in fact much more aware than in the past, and prefers to inquire independently about products and companies, based on their interests and needs.
The first point of contact between brands and people, in the context of Inbound Marketing , can be, for example, the blog, but there are also other tools useful for this purpose. Let's see them together.
1. Optimize your blog posts
The SEO is an important aspect Inbound Marketing, but once the visitor has reached your blog to turn into leads , then the customer and later maybe also in promoting the brand , you need to create content that can be interesting for him and lead him to visit the site several times over time.
However, the practical aspect is no less important: people want their access to information to be as quick and immediate as possible, in fact.
For this reason, try to make every part of the preview of your blog articles clickable (from text to image, up to the "Read more" button). Especially from mobile, it will be easier for the reader to immediately access the content and his stay on the site will increase. An important fact for your statistics.
Adding a photo and a bio of the author of the post is also a good practice, which in addition to giving the blog contributors a face, making the company more human in the visitor's perception, will also give authoritativeness to the content. Who would face a bad product (or bad content)?
It is an easy way to add empathy also to the web tool and will help to maintain constant relationships with users over time: in fact, often the authors of the blog become points of reference on a certain topic and help the company to create connection with the own audience.
2. Write an eBook to establish your company as an industry expert
The blog is one of the tools available in an inbound marketing strategy to create authority around the brand, but it is not the only one. Another useful approach may be to produce an eBook to attract new customers.
Choose a topic that is particularly current or important for your sector and provide practical solutions to the problems that people face in your target market. The information you provide will have to be truly valuable, just so new potential customers will start thinking about you not only as a source of information, but also as a handy solution for their needs.
You can also turn it into an audio book or podcast to reach an even wider audience, but always remember to include a call to action at the end of the eBook and any other content you will get from it, to invite readers to contact you, to visit the website, or better yet, sign up for your newsletter.
3. Create a podcast to engage a new audience
As we anticipated a little while ago, even a podcast can be a very useful tool to attract new potential customers and it is a simple and affordable solution even for smaller companies.
It is not only a growing Inbound Marketing trend, but it is a real channel that acts well in the acquisition of leads.
An example? Spread the link to the podcast on company social channels and tell the content in a few lines. Or insert the audio also in a blog post for further information.
4. Add a test or survey to your website
Create a quiz or survey that visitors to your website will need to fill out when they land on the site: it will allow you to acquire important data about their interests and useful contact information.
Remember that interactivity is one of the easiest and safest ways to establish direct contact with your brand's prospects. It may seem strange to you, but most visitors fill out the tests after landing on the website, to prove their actual knowledge of the product or industry.

This will then help you present the most relevant offer to your leads, thus increasing the lead-to-consumer relationship.
5. Identify the target geographically
The Pay per Click or PPC (yes, this is part Inbound Marketing), can help you compete even at the local level and not just on the web.
In fact, you can attract a large amount of traffic to your website in a short period of time, identifying the right terms, but above all the position of your potential customers.
