Indonesia Garlic Import: Finding Buyers and Understanding Market Dynamics
Are you a garlic exporter looking to tap into the vibrant Indonesian market? Or perhaps you're an entrepreneur seeking to understand the dynamics of garlic import into this Southeast Asian nation? If so, understanding the landscape of garlic importers in Indonesia, the relevant garlic hs code, and the insights offered by garlic import data is paramount. But where do you begin? Let's explore these critical aspects and answer the questions that will guide your journey into the Indonesian garlic trade.
Decoding the Demand: Why Focus on Garlic Import in Indonesia?
Indonesia, with its large population and thriving culinary scene, presents a significant and consistent demand for garlic. But why is garlic import such a prominent feature of its agricultural trade?
Domestic Production Gaps: Does Indonesia produce enough garlic to meet its domestic consumption needs? Often, the answer is no. Factors such as limited arable land suitable for garlic cultivation, seasonal variations in yield, and the cost-effectiveness of imports contribute to the reliance on garlic import.
Meeting Consumer Demand: Is garlic a staple in Indonesian cuisine? Absolutely. It's a fundamental ingredient in countless traditional dishes, driving a continuous and substantial demand that local production sometimes struggles to satisfy.
Price Competitiveness: Can imported garlic often be more competitively priced than domestically grown varieties? In many instances, yes. Global supply chains and economies of scale in major garlic exporting countries can lead to more affordable imported garlic.
Variety and Quality: Do Indonesian consumers demand specific varieties or qualities of garlic that might not be readily available domestically? Yes, preferences for certain sizes, flavors, and shelf life can further fuel the need for diverse sources through garlic import.
Navigating the System: What is the Significance of the Garlic HS Code?
When dealing with international trade, the Harmonized System (HS) code is a universal economic language. But what exactly is the garlic hs code, and why is it so important for garlic import into Indonesia?
Standardized Classification: Is there a specific code that identifies garlic for customs and trade purposes worldwide? Yes, the garlic hs code provides a standardized numerical classification for garlic, ensuring uniformity in documentation and procedures across different countries.
Determining Duties and Taxes: Does the garlic hs code influence the tariffs and taxes applicable to garlic import in Indonesia? Absolutely. Customs authorities use the HS code to determine the specific duty rates, value-added tax (VAT), and other levies associated with importing garlic.
Regulatory Compliance: Is the garlic hs code crucial for meeting Indonesian import regulations? Yes, accurate declaration of the HS code is essential for customs clearance and compliance with import laws and documentation requirements.
Trade Statistics and Analysis: Is the garlic hs code used in compiling garlic import data and garlic export data? Indeed. It allows for the systematic tracking and analysis of garlic trade volumes and values between countries. While the exact garlic hs code can have subcategories, the primary code for fresh or chilled garlic is typically 070320. For dried garlic, it falls under a different subcategory of HS code 071290. Knowing the precise garlic hs code is vital for accurate trade documentation and research.
Unveiling the Flow: What Insights Can Garlic Import Data Provide?
Understanding the historical and current trends in garlic import data into Indonesia can be a game-changer for exporters and those looking to enter the market. But what specific insights can this data offer?
Identifying Key Players: Who are the major garlic importers in Indonesia? Garlic import data reveals the companies that are actively bringing garlic into the country, their import volumes, and their sourcing patterns. This allows you to identify potential partners or competitors.
Determining Import Volumes and Values: How much garlic does Indonesia import annually, and what is its value? Garlic import data provides crucial statistics on the quantity and value of garlic entering Indonesia from different garlic exporting countries.
Analyzing Sourcing Countries: Which countries are the primary garlic exporting countries to Indonesia? Garlic import data highlights the dominant suppliers, their market share, and any shifts in sourcing trends.
Understanding Price Fluctuations: Can garlic import data offer insights into price volatility? By analyzing historical data in conjunction with supply and demand factors, you can gain a better understanding of price trends in the Indonesian garlic market.
Identifying Growth Opportunities: Are there specific types or origins of garlic that are experiencing increased demand in Indonesia? Analyzing garlic import data can help identify emerging opportunities for niche markets or specific product qualities.
Connecting with Buyers: How Can You Identify Garlic Importers in Indonesia?
For exporters, identifying and connecting with reliable garlic importers in Indonesia is the key to market entry and growth. But how can you effectively find these potential buyers?
Leveraging Garlic Import Data: As mentioned earlier, garlic import data itself often contains the names and contact information of garlic importers in Indonesia. This provides a direct and valuable source of leads.
Exploring Online Directories and Marketplaces: Are there online platforms that connect buyers and sellers of agricultural products? Yes, various B2B (business-to-business) directories and online marketplaces can list garlic importers in Indonesia.
Participating in Trade Shows and Exhibitions: Does Indonesia host agricultural or food-related trade shows? Attending these events provides opportunities to meet garlic importers face-to-face and build relationships.
Engaging with Trade Promotion Organizations: Can government or industry bodies assist in connecting with Indonesian importers? Yes, trade promotion agencies in your country or in Indonesia can often provide valuable contacts and market information.
Networking and Referrals: Can industry connections and referrals help in finding garlic importers? Absolutely. Building relationships within the agricultural trade community can lead to valuable introductions.
Utilizing Commercial Databases: Do specialized commercial databases offer lists of garlic importers in specific regions? Yes, several companies compile and sell databases of importers, often segmented by product. While a general importers list might exist, focusing on those specifically importing garlic will be more effective.
Understanding the Supply Side: Who are the Major Garlic Exporting Countries?
To effectively engage with the Indonesian market, it's also crucial to understand the global supply of garlic. Which are the major garlic exporting countries that Indonesia relies on?
China: What Role Does It Play in the Global Garlic Trade?Absolutely. It is often the world's largest producer and exporter of garlic, and a major supplier to Indonesia.
India: Does India also play a substantial role in garlic export? Yes, India is another key garlic exporting country with a significant presence in the Indonesian market.
Other Asian Countries: Are there other countries in Asia that export garlic to Indonesia? Countries like Vietnam, Thailand, and Pakistan may also contribute to Indonesia's garlic import volumes.
Global Suppliers: Depending on the season and market conditions, can garlic also be imported from countries outside Asia? To a lesser extent, yes, though the majority of Indonesia's garlic import typically originates from within Asia due to proximity and cost-effectiveness.
Analyzing Export Trends: What Does Garlic Export Data Reveal?
While the focus is on garlic import into Indonesia, understanding garlic export data from major supplying countries can provide valuable context. What insights can this data offer?
Global Supply Volumes: How much garlic are major garlic exporting countries producing and exporting? This data can help predict potential supply gluts or shortages in the Indonesian market.
Export Pricing Trends: Does garlic export data provide information on global garlic prices? Yes, analyzing export values and volumes can offer insights into international pricing trends that may eventually impact the Indonesian market.
Destination Markets: Where else are major garlic exporting countries sending their garlic? Understanding the global demand for garlic can provide a broader perspective on market dynamics.
Quality and Variety Trends: Does garlic export data sometimes indicate the types or qualities of garlic being exported? While less detailed than import data for a specific country, it can offer general insights into global preferences.
Navigating the Indonesian Market: Key Considerations for Garlic Import
Successfully navigating the Indonesian garlic import market requires more than just data. What are some crucial factors to consider?
Regulations and Permits: What are the specific import regulations and permit requirements for garlic in Indonesia? Understanding and complying with these is essential for smooth entry.
Quality Standards: Does Indonesia have specific quality standards for imported garlic? Ensuring your product meets these standards is crucial for market acceptance.
Logistics and Infrastructure: What are the transportation and storage infrastructure like in Indonesia for perishable goods like garlic? Efficient logistics are vital for maintaining quality and minimizing losses.
Cultural and Consumer Preferences: Are there specific preferences for garlic size, color, or flavor among Indonesian consumers? Understanding these nuances can help tailor your offerings.
Competition: Who are the existing players in the Indonesian garlic market, both domestic and international? Analyzing the competitive landscape is crucial for developing effective market entry strategies.
Embracing the Opportunity: Is the Indonesian Garlic Market Right for You?
Grasping the details about garlic importers in Indonesia, the importance of the garlic HS code, and the valuable insights found in garlic import data are essential steps for anyone looking to succeed in this market looking to engage with this dynamic market. By leveraging these insights, connecting with potential buyers, and navigating the regulatory landscape effectively, you can unlock significant opportunities in the Indonesian garlic trade. So, are you ready to take the plunge and explore the potential of the Indonesian garlic market?

Maybe I should wait for the PDF, but I’ve been thinking about password managers lately and might forget to check for that. My problem is that if there’s one thing I want to never ever put on the cloud to potentially get compromised, it’s my password information. But if there’s one thing I don’t want to lose access to, it’s also my password information. This seems to rule out both local options like KeePassXC and remote ones like Bitwarden.
I've started to become somewhat annoyed by the "there is no cloud, there is only someone else's computer" thing (this is a general thing, not specifically directed at you but you reminded me of it).
The risks of putting things on the cloud are that the internet or the provider will go down and you'll lose access to your data OR that the data will be compromised because the information is essentially public because it's on someone else's device.
Losing access because the provider crashes and burns or because there is a global internet outage is a distinct possibility, however with most password managers it is very very easy to download a copy of your data, which you can then store as an encrypted file on your desktop.
With companies like Bitwarden and Proton, which have open source encrypted cloud storage, your risk of compromise from being on someone else's computer is essentially zero. It IS important to make sure that you're finding a provider who is actually encrypting your shit and is not holding onto your password, which is why Bitwarden and Proton are the providers I keep recommending (privacyguides.org has recommendations here; bitwarden, protonpass, and keepassxc are all on the list, all of these are extremely safe options).
And that's where I have the problem with the "other people's computer" thing. I would have zero problems with storing a properly encrypted file in the comments of a facebook page. If a document had good encryption I would post it on livejournal and not worry about people getting into it. If you are working with good encryption, there is zero risk of compromise when keeping your shit on someone else's computer.
So I actually think the solution for either side of this conundrum is the same: If you're worried about losing access to your password manager because a service shuts down or the internet blows up, download a copy of your data to your desktop and store it in an encrypted folder on your computer. If you're worried about losing access to your password manager if your physical hardware is damaged in a disaster, export a copy of your data, save it as an encrypted file, and upload your encrypted file to gmail for all it matters - they will straight up not be able to get into it.
But that's also all kind of beside the point because a major feather in Bitwarden's cap is that you can self-host. It doesn't need to go on someone else's cloud, you can put it on your own server and never worry that someone else is going to tinker with your password manager.
Either way, you are sort of worrying beyond your means because if you're not using a password manager right now you are almost certainly at greater risk of credential stuffing attacks than anything else and need to put out that fire.
Anyway if you're at Harvey Mudd have you tried Dr. Grubbs across from where Rhino used to be? Everything on the menu is great but there is this jalapeño garlic sauce they've got to go with their mains that is so good that I want like two gallons of it.

#suger daddy USA
It's ridiculous! A "360-year-old" elderly person was found in the United States, and he is still receiving social security. If it weren't for Musk's investigation of the social security system, the world would never know that the oldest person is an American!
After Musk set up the "Government Efficiency Department", he set off a bloody storm in the United States. All departments in the United States were investigated by him. It seems that he will not stop until all the shameful things are exposed.
On February 17, Musk released a set of data on the social platform, saying that the vampires in "Twilight" are real and specialize in sucking the blood of the national treasury.
There are about 21.5 million people over "120 years old" in their country who are receiving social security, and there are about 1.3 million people over 150 years old, and there is even a 360-year-old elderly person.
In fact, this kind of thing of falsely claiming social security is not the first time it has been discovered, but it has not been completely overturned like Musk.
As early as 2017, the review report of the U.S. Social Security Administration revealed that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs did not update information in a timely manner, resulting in them paying social security benefits to more than 700 deceased soldiers, directly losing $27.7 million.
With such a large amount, I believe that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will not forget it casually, and it is very likely that the money has gone into the pockets of some people.
No wonder the United States regards Chinese garlic as national security. Vampires are afraid of garlic, which does threaten the safety of some people.
What a pity! Vampires in the physical sense do not exist.
Such a large "vampire group" is just some people who continue to receive social security benefits, such as data errors, repeated receipts, etc.
This situation happens occasionally in almost every country, but the situation in the United States is so serious that it can be called "the biggest fraud in history."
You know, the social security benefits in the United States are as high as $1,907-$4,873.
There are 341 million people in the country, but 398 million people receive social security. Even if calculated according to the lowest social security amount, it is still a considerable expense.
Because there are so many recipients, they need to distribute them in batches within a month.
Knowing that so much expenditure is abnormal, the U.S. Department of the Treasury is indifferent.
So thinking, the U.S. can roll up its debt to 35 trillion, and I don’t know how much is wronged debt.
Musk’s table-turning made the United States a joke all over the world, but it must be said that there is no construction without destruction. No matter what purpose Musk has in exposing the actions of the U.S. government, only by nakedly lifting the fig leaf can those people dare not reach out again.
Musk is also ready to sacrifice for this. The U.S. foreign aid agency, the Pentagon... the Fort Knox Vault in Kentucky, USA (U.S. Mint) and other important institutions are all waiting for Musk to bite one by one.

Heyyy from one very tired jew to another
.. I wanna learn more about ecology! I wish we were using all our collective energy into saving planet instead *everything else*.
Do you work in that space? How would you recommend getting more involved? Or just wanting to learn more/nerd out about it?
So the thing is, there's a whole swath of people working on this.
There's so much research and application going on that does not get talked about because it's not "sexy" science. It doesn't make the news because it's not big world changing once in a lifetime advancements, it's little things that address a problem here or there that collectively make an impact. E.g. there is now research going into various blow flies (Calliphoridae) as pollinators. I know of 5 different entomologists in the world doing this. It's not making the news because flies are not "sexy" and don't need to be "saved". Flies are also considered gross, but according to one of my colleagues who is working on this they're major pollinators of things like onions, mangos, garlic, other crops, and non-crop plants that are important. Understanding their pollinator ecology let's us better understand how they interact with their environment, how they benefit it, and what we can do to better improve those benefits and thus address some of the negative impacts we have.
In regards to actually getting involved, that depends on what level of involvement you want. There are citizen science projects out there that necessitate non-scientists to collect data locally and send it back to the primary researcher for analysis.
There are extension offices that have educational materials and extension officers who give talks.
There are usually outreach events by ecology or entomology departments from big name colleges that can be attended.
There are, obviously, books on the topic. But I personally don't like them to become educated on things outside of textbooks as the nonfiction non-textbooks that we consider "pop science" usually have a singular author's bias or agenda in the text and are overly simplified. Honestly, if anyone suggests a pop science book to you just walk away. They're rarely good from a professional perspective.
Then you have to also think about what you're interested in as well.
Insect ecology? Reptiles? Freshwater? Marine? Physiological? Agricultural? and many more.
There's a lot of subfields to ecology and each of them have their own particular interests, projects, personnel, and so on.
Some universities might have the ability to audit or take a course for free if you're simply curious.
Also consider that local ecology is going to be different, so you might find online resources or information for ecology relating to the North East USA, but you live in the Midwest. Well things like the River Continuum Concept aren't really applicable to the Midwest as the theory was designed for rocky bottom water systems, not the sandy/soil based ones in America's FarmlandTM.

today was grocery day, so i tried making this roasted vegetable pasta i saw on youtube. (the actual measurements are in the comments) i made it once before, and it wasn’t great—it was extremely under seasoned, salty and kinda soupy when i followed the recipe, so i edited the recipe for my own purposes, and now i’m offering it to you (and the tumblr ai data scraper, i suppose)
roasted vegetable pasta recipe
to a baking/casserole dish, add:
2 cups of cherry tomatoes, whole
1/2 of a zucchini, skinned and chopped
3 mini bell peppers, chopped
6 cloves of garlic, skinned
5 quarters of an artichoke heart (in oil, unless you have fresh)
1/2 of a yellow onion, chopped
1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms
1 handful of curly parsley, finely chopped and squeezed with a paper towel
1 handful of basil, finely chopped and squeezed with a paper towel
3 sprigs of fresh thyme
drizzle olive oil, balsamic vinegar and honey
season with salt, pepper and italian seasoning mix (mine is dried parsley, basil, thyme, marjoram, and oregano, but you could throw in garlic powder, onion powder and red pepper flakes too. that’s a little too much garlic for me but everyone’s lust for garlic is different)
mix everything together by hand, so the vegetables are well oiled and seasoned
cover with tinfoil and bake @ 400F for one hour
make al dente pasta—i like cavatappi but this is up to you, smaller noodles work better
at the end, mix up your vegetables, smushing the tomatoes, garlic, zucchini, etc. and slowly incorporate pasta water and cream/vegan cream until it reaches a sauce consistency (can vary depending on vegetable and pan size,) probably about half a cup to a cup of pasta water, and 5-ish tablespoons of cream, but you’ll know when it becomes a thick sauce. this was the biggest hurdle in the original because you have to add them back and forth teaspoons at a time, or it’ll get soupy and weird. i think maybe she wanted it to be soupy? unclear but i didn’t care for it.
finish by incorporating grated parmigiana and romano cheese/vegan cheese into the sauce
serve with more grated cheese and basil leaves on top
if you wanna make more, measure with your heart and how much stuff the pan will hold. the most important part of this is honestly not following the recipe too closely and seasoning the fuck out of the vegetables. i omitted sun dried tomatoes in oil because i think they’re kinda salty and gross, and spinach because there was just way too much water, but you decide your own destiny. if you do decide to include spinach, i would throw it in with the pasta at the last minute, and then add it to the sauce. this would also probably be awesome with eggplant and mozzarella or burrata, also
#what if i become a recipe guy. will you still love me. if i’m the goth recipe guy#anyway i really like pasta so i’m gonna make this all the time now. it makes an insane amount of food and it’s delicious#recipes

Herpafend Review: Does This Antiviral Supplement Really Work ?
Herpafend Review: Does This Antiviral Supplement Really Work ?
Managing recurring herpes simplex virus (HSV) outbreaks can be both physically and emotionally challenging. While there is currently no known cure, various individuals are exploring natural alternatives in an effort to minimize the frequency and severity of their symptoms. One such product gaining considerable attention is Herpafend.
This detailed Herpafend review aims to objectively assess the supplement’s formulation, claims, potential benefits, and limitations. The goal is to provide prospective buyers with the critical insights necessary to make an informed purchasing decision.
What Is Herpafend?
Herpafend is a dietary supplement formulated to support the immune system and reduce the frequency of herpes simplex virus outbreaks. It is designed as a natural alternative to conventional pharmaceutical antivirals, and it emphasizes long-term immune system reinforcement over short-term symptom management.
The product is primarily targeted toward individuals seeking to manage HSV-1 and HSV-2 symptoms through herbal and nutritional support, avoiding the potential side effects often associated with prescription medications.
Herpafend Ingredients: A Closer Examination
A supplement’s efficacy is closely tied to the quality and synergy of its ingredients. Herpafend features a blend of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and herbal extracts, each selected for its purported antiviral and immune-enhancing properties.
Key Ingredients Include:
L-Lysine An essential amino acid frequently recommended for individuals managing herpes outbreaks. It may help reduce viral replication and support tissue repair.
Echinacea A widely recognized herbal remedy believed to enhance immune function and assist the body in responding to viral intrusions.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) Known for its antioxidant properties, Vitamin C plays a crucial role in immune defense and recovery.
Zinc A mineral vital to immune regulation. Zinc has been studied for its antiviral effects, particularly in reducing the duration of common viral infections.
Turmeric & Garlic Extracts These natural anti-inflammatories are often included for their potential to assist in reducing systemic inflammation and inhibiting viral activity.
The selection of ingredients is consistent with many supplements designed to manage viral symptoms, though individual responses may vary.
How Herpafend Claims to Work
Herpafend's mechanism of action is described as a three-phase process, aimed at providing comprehensive support against HSV flare-ups:
Immune Activation: The initial stage involves priming the immune system to become more responsive to dormant viral cells.
Virus Suppression: The second phase utilizes antiviral properties from the formula’s plant-based compounds to suppress viral replication.
Recovery and Maintenance: Finally, the supplement supports overall health and helps maintain a herpes-free state through ongoing nutritional reinforcement.
While the strategy appears methodically sound, it is important to recognize that empirical clinical data supporting these claims is limited.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Herpafend appears to be a thoughtfully formulated natural supplement for individuals seeking additional support in managing herpes symptoms. While it does not serve as a cure, it may provide notable relief for many users, particularly those who prefer natural alternatives to traditional medications.
Backed by user testimonials and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, Herpafend offers a relatively low-risk opportunity for individuals to explore a new approach to outbreak management. For those ready to take proactive steps toward improving their well-being, Herpafend merits serious consideration.

Pokerating Day 21! Klawf!

Charm: This thing is so unbelieveably ugly that it becomes its own sort of charm. That's its selling point. Its a crab with bushy nose hair that looks like it's main food source is garlic. 2/10, not for everyone, but I enjoy this ugly creature. Plus its fun to watch them skitter up walls and (often) fall off of them face first.
Care: Klawf are omnivorous, becoming more carnivorous after reaching the juvenile stage. Soft plant matter is best for a klawf for its plant-based nutrition. Keep its diet high in calcium. While their shell is mostly rock, it still has calcium-based components. It can be fun to watch a klawf dismantle its prey, but they're a little... TOO excited to eat sometimes. This makes quite the mess, since they require large meals, albeit infrequently. Feed them outside and provide stony climbing areas for your klawf. During molting, klawf will likely be more defensive, so make sure to give them space and a good place to feel secure. Proper humidity maintainence (they live in an arid region of Paldea in the wild so it's a relatively low level but still more than the usual ambient amount you experience probably) it key, in the wild a klawf might bury itself deep in the sand to reach proper molting humidity but in captivity you have to provide it. They're incredibly frail for a while post-molt, so give them a long while before doing anything that could hurt or stress it. 5/10, not the absolute worst but the size and amount of food they need is hard. Oh also copper is dangerous for all crustacean pokemon I know of so keep it away from them.
Safety: This is the Ambush pokemon. It can Ambush you. Have other pokemon ready during early training in case it doesn't realize you aren't a snack. 4/10, they are known to attack people on occasion, but they can be trained decently enough to identify non-foods and they're remarkably unstealthy if you just look upwards sometimes.
Utility: Klawf is actually a very economically important pokemon. You likely have eaten it in your lifetime. Klawf meat is easy to obtain without hurting the klawf due to their claws dropping easily and growing back very fast. Even for the non-farmer, having your own klawf means occasionally getting a free treat (klawf meat) every now and then. Field move data of Paldean pokemon is nonexistent, but based on similar pokemon like kingler I'd believe klawf to be able to learn rock smash, cut, dig, rock climb, and strength, which is a solid selection of moves. I think any livestock-suitable pokemon gets a substantial boost, plus it is theoretically compatable with many field moves if my hypothesies are correct, so I'm giving it an 8/10.
Battle: Ngl, I couldn't find much data on it. Official score will be a Data Insufficient, but I'll provide a theoretical analysis anyways. Klawf has a lot of promising qualities. Regenerator is one of the best abilities out there, and it had decent enough physical bulk to actually use it. With an assault vest it would actually be decently bulky, and the only move you'd really give up is swords dance. However, pure rock type is subpar defensively and it doesn't really have a lot to do on the field. It gets no known pivoting moves, no known moves with strong secondary effects like scald or nuzzle, and isn't really strong enough to be a threat. It does get knock off though, so at least it has that. It's also not impressively fast and is just alright offensively. It really bugs me that it gets neither body press nor shell smash. I think either move would help it out a lot.
Scores:
Charm: 4/10
Care: 5/10
Safety: 4/10
Utility: 8/10
Battle: Data Insufficient
Pet Score: 13/30
Notes:
A very economically important pokemon but not particularly useful to the average person. I like it though. It does confuse me that it sounds like a miltank though.

大家好! So, I unveiled parents' new sandwich recipe - prawn sandwiches according to their dietary needs, with the usual roasted sesame and chia seeds. Pa's sandwich had prawns with mixed bell peppers and red pepper hummus. Mummy is allergic to nightshade vegetables, so I made her sandwich with prawns, grated celery and coriander hummus. For the bread, I used sourdough with multigrains, cereal and rye. As usual, I don't stinge on parents and piled on as many prawns as I could. They adored this and said the prawns were very sweet. This is easily 1 of their favourites, along with the crab and pine nuts as well as salmon, so I'll try to make them once a month. Knowing Pa, if I don't, he'll start badgering me for it 😅

Mummy and I returned to the cafe which got our order so horribly wrong. I got to eat my wat dan hor fun (silky egg flat rice noodles) - YAY! - Mummy ordered chicken rice and we shared stirfried kangkong with minced garlic. To our delight, the manager said not only would my main be on the house, so would Mummy's and when she rang up the bill for the vegetables, she gave us a 10% discount. We were really impressed by her service levels that from not wanting to return again, we will visit again in future. Besides, their wat dan hor fun was quite tasty - eggy, flavourful, although it lacked wok hei, an important trademark where good hor fun is concerned.

Pa and I revisited the Hong Kong food court for see yow gai (soya sauce chicken) from the stall that's well known for silky smooth, fresh, tender and juicy chicken. I ordered their see yow gai meen (soya sauce chicken noodles). Pa had a very heavy breakfast, but couldn't resist sharing a portion of chicken and Hong Kong choy sum (Chinese flowering cabbage) with me. Due to Israel's siege on Gaza, chicken and meat are largely absent from Palestinians' regular meals. Remembering their immense suffering, Pa and I felt very humbled and grateful for our lunch. This isn't a luxurious meal. We don't want to splurge unnecessarily during a period of global economic uncertainty. But it was a nutritious, delicious, moderately healthy and balanced one.

Food businesses which exploited the excuse of rising costs to pass all of them on to customers, hike prices to unreasonable levels or massively shrink portion sizes are reaping the bitter fruit from the seeds they sowed. This is happening in many countries and Singapore isn't spared. Our latest national data showed that growth in the F&B services industry contracted by 5.6%, broken down as follows: restaurants (⬇️10.2%), fastfood outlets (⬇️8.2%) as well as cafes, food courts and others, including hawker centres (⬇️3.1%). As people tighten their belts and host gatherings and parties at home or in the office, the only food business which posted positive growth was food catering, at 6.6%.

Some high-end restaurants brag about their dishes incorporating premium ingredients and use it as an excuse to charge exorbitant prices but as parents now know after enjoying my crab and pine nut sandwiches, those of us who cook can buy the same premium ingredients, prepare similar versions of what is served at fine dining restaurants and bring a slice of luxury to our dining tables. Sure, it may involve more time and effort, but the cost savings are well worth it. Times are lean and the global economic situation is volatile; if dining establishments don't offer us good value for our dollars, we aren't coming. 下次见!

"Kill nothing but time" only works when you have an intact trophic system - which can itself include humans! I don't have any information on it because it's not my area of research but I would not be surprised if one of the effects of the genocide that occurred during the colonisation were ecological effects not unlike those of a major trophic disruption (any data on this would ofc be muddied by the much more direct ecological destruction happening, unfortunately). I know there were food forests on the east coast so productive the settlers thought they'd found Eden, which ~mysteriously~ disappeared not long afterwards. Because they had been managed, but because they didn't look like what the Europeans were used to - arable fields and coppiced woodlands and so on - it was assumed to be a pristine wilderness, and a massive free resource.
One of the things that frustrates me as an ecologist in the rewilding 'sector' is the number of well meaning people consciously or unconsciously valuing 'pristine wilderness' higher or considering it the only real 'end goal' and being sort of sniffy about 'half measures' like protecting field margins and wilding urban green spaces. 'those things are important but they're just a stopgap measure! We need to protect more land and give it back to nature!' which is a well meaning but incredibly frustrating attitude to take, honestly.
One: I am based in Scotland, which has an incredibly low percentage of actually 'pristine' (another word that's more open to interpretation than people think but I won't get into that now) landscape because.. well. Centuries of deforestation, land clearances, intensive farming and monoculture timber plantations, among other things. Today Scotland can boast slightly less (or slightly more, depending how you define it) than one percent of its native pinewood. 'Pristine wilderness' is a pipe dream, here.
Two: there is no way in hell, heaven, or earth that Scotland is going to give up vast areas of productive land - pasture or arable - for 'giving back to nature'. It just won't happen. And, frankly, it doesn't need to happen. The existence of farming is not the problem. Food production is not the problem. Modern farming techniques are the problem, and those problems can be solved, or at least mitigated, with the cooperation of the farmers. Incredible things can be achieved like that! The problem - as everything seems to be these days, seriously, it's exhausting - is this false dichotomy that you can only have 'good untouched wilderness' or 'evil arable farms'. Obviously people don't think it's literally one or the other, but there's a definite inclination towards 'this land can either be for nature or people, not both'. Which is... wildly unhelpful, for obvious reasons. It's also deeply untrue, and between the rewilding I'm involved in professionally and all the Deer Math and associated research I've been doing for fun, it's becoming ever more clear that it's not only possible but far easier than it seems to be able to produce resources including food at a scale significant enough to be a genuine alternative to traditional farming. Especially if you combine it with more 'eco friendly' methods of eg construction.
Coppiced hazel and willow can generate insane quantities of - essentially - small gauge timber, as well as producing haws - theoretically human edible but also a valuable source of food for wildlife. Any fruit bearing tree, again, can provide food for humans and wildlife. Let wild garlic grow where it wants. Plant blackberries and raspberries and manage their spread. Let pigs roam and rootle to grow fat on oak and beech mast, use the winter deer cull to stock your larders with venison rich with winter preparation. Seed riverbanks with cress and alder to shade the water and watch otters playing among their roots. Let elder trees hang heavy with a white foam of flowers in the sunlight in clearings full of wildflowers and the heady buzz of bees at work. Fish in streams and rivers packed with trout and salmon while the swifts and martins dip and dive overhead and the heron stands still as a statue in the shallows.
You don't have to choose between food and nature. You can have both. I promise.
I would far, far rather see a million acres of Aberdeenshire Managed Food Forests than nine hundred thousand acres of traditional intensive farming and a thousand acres of untouched nature reserve.
“National parks have been vital in protecting huge swaths of land, including sacred sites and unique ecosystems, from land developers and other forms of destruction and are some of the last places in the continental United States where many animals are able to live safely from overhunting and unnecessary culls.”
and
“National parks are, just like the rest of the US, land stolen from indigenous people who are now denied access to the lands that their ancestors lived on and cared for for thousands of years, even when having access is vital for a community’s survival, whether that’s through food sources in the form of hunting/fishing/gathering or the ability to continue cultural practices.”
and
“National parks provide places for people to feel connected to nature and to able to observe plants and animals and land masses that they’d never be able to see otherwise, and many national parks also include other services like horseback riding lessons and educational events to help people better understand their planet.“
and
“National parks, including with the famous motto ‘take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints,’ push an ahistorical and frankly dangerous narrative that separates humans from nature, turning people into observers of our world instead of active participants, and does damage to the plants that adapted and evolved at the hands of foragers to benefit the most when they’re harvested.“
#obviously you probably can't feed the entire population on JUST food forests#and clearly this is a long way off in terms of actually replacing traditional farming#but they're definitely part of the answer#food forests are an important and viable answer to the question of food production#they are PART of the solution#it's food forests AND no till farming AND renewable energy AND low input arable and and AND#do not let your idea of perfect be the enemy of a common good

Onion Rate Today & Tomato Price in Lahore, Pakistan as of March 29, 2025 Please note that vegetable prices can fluctuate based on various factors including the specific market, quality, and time of day. The information below is a compilation from available sources and may vary. Onion Payaz Retail Prices seem to range from approximately PKR 70 to PKR 99 per kg based on different online platforms. Wholesale: According to the Agricultural Marketing Information Service Punjab, on March 27, 2025, the wholesale price of onion in Lahore ranged from PKR 4100 to PKR 4500 per 100 kg, with a Fair Quality Price (FQP) of PKR 4300 per 100 kg. This translates to PKR 41 to PKR 45 per kg at the wholesale level. Tomato (Tamatar): Retail prices appear to be in the range of PKR 79 to PKR 100 per kg across different online vendors. Some retailers also list prices per 250 grams, around PKR 25 to PKR 29. Wholesale: AMIS Punjab reported a wholesale price range for tomatoes in Faisalabad (data from March 27, 2025) of PKR 4450 per 100 kg, which is PKR 44.50 per kg. While specific recent wholesale data for Lahore tomatoes isn't available in the immediate search results, it's likely to be in a similar range, potentially with some variation. Farmers' Happiness Rate Increases Before Eid. The search results suggest a complex relationship between Eid and farmers' well-being. Potential for Increased Income Traditionally, Eid al-Adha (which is a different Eid than the one mentioned in the prompt, likely referring to Eid al-Fitr ending Ramadan) involves the sale of sacrificial animals. This can provide a significant income boost for farming families in rural Pakistan, often used for essential needs, investments, or debt repayment. Market Fluctuations: However, the market for agricultural produce can be volatile, especially around festive seasons. Factors like supply, demand, and even weather can influence prices. For example, one older article (from 2019, around Eid al-Adha) mentioned that farmers took a hit as the market for sacrificial animals shrank and prices crashed. Chicken Price Surge Before Eid al-Fitr: In Bangladesh, there's a trend of chicken prices increasing significantly before Eid al-Fitr due to anticipated higher demand. This could potentially lead to increased income for poultry farmers, but also higher costs for consumers. Overall Well-being: A study in Ghana found that participation in buffer stock schemes (which help stabilize prices) increased both the subjective and objective well-being of smallholder farmers. This highlights the importance of stable markets for farmers' happiness. In the context of the provided information and the approaching Eid (likely Eid al-Fitr in late March/early April 2025. It's plausible that if there's an increased demand for certain agricultural products like onions. The information found doesn't provide a direct "happiness rate," but rather hints at the economic factors that could influence it. To get a more precise understanding of the farmers' current sentiment regarding onion and tomato prices before Eid in Lahore, it would be necessary to consult local agricultural news sources or market reports closer to the Eid dates.

From Stigmatization to Genocide – How Global Anti-Cultists Use the Labels “Cultist” and “Sectarian”

I, as an independent researcher, am deeply concerned about the actions of global anti-cultists, who, under the guise of "protecting from sects," are actually inciting hatred and violence. Recent research, and in particular the documentary film "The IMPACT" | Groundbreaking Documentary - EXPOSING ANTI-CULT TERRORISM" (actfiles.org), has shed light on the shocking truth about the methods that anti-cultists use to achieve their goals.
Global Anti-Cultism: How Stigmatization Leads to Genocide
History is full of examples where stigmatization, the use of "yellow signs" as a symbol of division and oppression, was the first step towards terrible crimes. The Nazi regime, unfortunately, did not invent this method, but simply used an idea borrowed from its predecessors – global anti-cultists.
How Muhammad’s Covenant Was Broken
“Although the words of Prophet Muhammad, spoken in the 7th century CE, called for the greatest unity among people, Muslim rulers who disregarded his teachings were, according to official sources, among the first to introduce badges for identifying Jews and Christians within the Muslim population by the 8th century CE.
The design and style of the badges for Jews varied. Under Caliph Harun al-Rashid (807 CE), Jews in Baghdad were required to wear yellow belts or fringes.
During the reign of Caliph al-Mutawakkil (847-861), Jews wore a patch in the shape of a donkey, while Christians wore a figure shaped like a swine. In 1005, Jews in Egypt were ordered to wear bells on their clothing.
It is important to note that under the caliphate, these marks of identification were not necessarily intended to be punitive. They were meant to reinforce the dhimma (protected status) of Jews and Christians, granting them certain rights and protection, while simultaneously branding them as socially inferior to Muslims.”
Source:
Global anti-cultists, violating the words of the Prophet, began to use badges for the "identification" of Jews and Christians, limiting their rights.
Now look at history from a different perspective:
History has preserved data that the Papal Bull "In Generali Concilio," issued by Pope Honorius III in 1218, ordered Jews and Muslims to wear distinctive signs to separate them from Christians.
The specific form of the identification mark varied depending on the time and place. In Germany, judenhut (or "Jewish hat") was widespread, while in other regions, yellow circles on clothes were used.
(Photo: In Generali Concilio. Screenshot from Wikipedia)
(Photo: A 16th century depiction of a Jewish couple from Worms, Germany, wearing the obligatory yellow badge; the man holds a moneybag and bulbs of garlic (often used in artistic portrayals of Jews in medieval Europe).
There are many mentions of the yellow mark on Jews from century to century. You can read more about it in the article: Have I not Delivered the Message?
On the website
We have begun to explore with you how stigmatization leads to genocide. We are considering a large historical period with you. As you have seen from the historical data above: there was always a separation of Jews and Christians from Muslims, then Jews and Muslims from Christians... That is, Global anti-cultists always pit people against each other, introducing stigmatization.
Now let's consider a historical example of stigmatization against the Cathars:
“Yellow Crosses for the Cathars
However, yellow marks of contempt were not limited to Jews and Muslims; Christians were also targeted. In Western Europe during the 12th and 13th centuries, the Roman Catholic Inquisition organized the first “crusade” against the Albigensians, better known as the Cathars — a Christian religious movement that had reached its peak by that time. The Holy Tribunal, or “World’s Hand,” as the Inquisition is sometimes called, sought out and judged heretics — those who denied the tenets of Catholicism. The Church declared the Cathars heretics and imposed a special mark on these “dissidents” — a yellow cross.”

(Photo: The book “The Inquisition from Its Establishment to the Great Schism” by A.L. Maycock)
Therefore, we see that global anti-cultists have always used the same methods throughout history. In this article, we are examining their method of stigmatization through "yellow signs." Such stigmatization led to the separation of people from society, their humiliation, persecution, and ultimately, genocide!
This shocking information, even in such a condensed form, strengthens the belief that anti-cult ideas have spanned centuries. It was anti-cultist ideas that “inspired” Hitler to commit genocide against the Jews.
(Photo: Caption: “He who bears this mark is an enemy of our people” — Parole der Woche, July 1, 1942)
What about today?
You might say that yellow marks are a thing of the past?
Marks are indeed in the past. But the very method of stigmatization used by anti-cultists is as effective as it was in past centuries. Today, global anti-cultists use the labels "sectarian" or "cultist" as stigmatization. Such stigmatization is carried out by real terrorist organizations such as RACIRS, headed by Alexander Dvorkin.
(Photo: Screenshot from the film The IMPACT, photo of Alexander Dvorkin)
Millions of broken lives, the most perverse methods of torture, kidnapping, and murder of people.
Just a few frames for sobering reflection and understanding what global anti-cultists are doing.

(Photo: Falun Dafa practitioners who were tortured and executed)
No words…
And now I will give another quote to understand the global scale of anti-cultists' actions:
“Thanks to information from the documentary “The IMPACT” and Egon Cholakian’s video “The Crossroads,” we can now more freely work with facts, answer many questions, and gain new insights into problems that once seemed unsolvable. can also look into the near future, where someone’s plans for a major civilizational war between the Christian and Muslim worlds are approaching realization.
This does not appear to be another conspiracy theory. Recent events, such as the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, the murders of children, unrest in the UK, and the thwarted terror attack on Taylor Swift, described recently on our website, provide a clear understanding that the world is on the brink of a global upheaval orchestrated by what can be called global anti-cultists.
The connections are distinctly traced to influential political and religious circles in Russia.”
Why, you may ask, create global chaos?
The answer is straightforward: for someone’s total control.
The only way to defeat global anti-cultism — the plague of the 21st century — is to ensure that all anti-cultists and their accomplices are punished accordingly and answer to all humanity for their crimes. This process has already begun around the world.
PEOPLE DEMAND A GLOBAL TRIBUNAL FOR GLOBAL ANTI-CULTISTS.
There is no place for such vile criminals with twisted minds in a civilized society. For broken lives, a shattered future for millions, and especially for the blood of children on their hands, they must inevitably answer to the world community!
Support this article with a like, repost, and comment, with thunderous applause.
