I love how the Zatch Bell games had no idea what to do with Zeno's gameplay since so little of him had been shown when they were released, so a lot of his move-set is just being a white Zatch and his super move is being able to release a white Bao.

Which is kinda funny because a big part of Zeno's character is that he is absurdly upset that he never got the Bao spell.

It's kinda like making a Naruto game and one of the levels has Sasuke finding and defeating Itachi who's portrayed as a super mega evil bad guy before we reach that point in the manga where the story retcons him to being secretly a good guy all along who was just following orders.

Oh, how I love adaptations of manga content trying to predict the direction a manga will go without actually knowing how things will develop. It's a dying art.

Like that time Dragon Ball tried to debut the Super Sayan transformation ten days before its actual debut in the manga, or when Soul Eater tried to make a new form beyond Demon Hunter.

I love this so much I'm so glad Raiku isn't going for the conventionally cool design route for all the characters' older versions. Kyanchome looks like a fuckin dweeb and Momon looks like an absolute dumbass. I adore this. And I think the fancy clothes unironically work for him

one thing that will never stop being funny to me is how kiyo is extremely super cautious about zatch’s magical lightning powers at the beginning of the manga, to the point where he causes zatch to be super depressed and runs away because kiyo causes him to believe he’s only a danger to others

there’s an armed bank robbery with several hostages, where many lives, including the life of the sole person in his entire school that even remotely likes him, are on the line. he comes up with this convoluted plan to lure the robbers near a pole to knock them out with an electric shock. the attack ends up being a direct attack by accident, so he then runs up to the robbers out of serious concern that he didn’t kill them and he’s visibly relieved when he realizes he didn’t

later on in the manga, though?? it doesn’t matter if you’re an ally, if you piss kiyo off, he gives ZERO shits. oh, you’re folgore, and you’re happily singing about how much you love tiddies?? expect a fresh, steaming hot ZAKERU aimed directly at you
