I kinda wish the TNG episode Interface had concluded with Silva La Forge and the crew of the Hera revealed to be alive. I didn’t mind the actual conclusion of the episode (that aliens from the planet were communicating with Geordi to help them) but I would’ve preferred the other scenario. I also wish that at some point, either in the remainder of TNG or in Picard that we’d gotten a definitive answer as to what happened to the Hera. Even if the ship had been confirmed destroyed and the crew killed, I would have liked that better than the ship just having gone missing and its disappearance never solved.

Everyday I log into Twitter and see multiple people asking “where’s this screenshot from, what’s this clip from?” And it will be content from 2019-2022!!! What has happened to phannie culture. Finding Dan and Phil and not watching every video posted starting from 2009, Reading forum posts from 2013? Do we not care about lore anymore? Where’d the obsession that comes from finding dnp randomly one day and you’re life never being the same. Like if they actually watched phils content they actually know the answers to the questions!!!!!!

i'm not gonna mock people for not knowing something but yeah in the past couple of years there has seemed to be an uptick in people asking others to find the things for them instead of doing any kind of research

not to be an old™️ but i think it's a generational thing and the product of people who are now in their early 20s not having to learn the same online research skills we did? or maybe it's also because social media changed the way they're used to receiving info (as in it's fed to them directly without looking)

but no i agree back in the day if you joined a new fandom or wanted to learn you did your own digging and looked up forums/videos/used basic deductive reasoning. it'll be interesting to see how fandom landscapes progress

You guys have no fucking clue how much we have to correct our character names here, btw. We'll be writing something and we'll think to ourself "oh yeah, the time loop guy, the guy who's in the time loop, we have a whole ass character named loop right" and then The Time Loop Guy's name is Siffrin and Loop is an entire different character that we're not even entirely sure is in the time loop, per se, as much as they're meta-aware and existing on a slightly different angle of reality to most of the people here. Their name's, like, been at least halfway reassigned to Dandelion in our brain. We swear we're gonna, like, call them Bonnie or Isabeau or some shit some loop and then not catch it in time. We've got Character Roulette Syndrome.

I am just so done with FanFiction.net. Like, I'm going to finish out Purpose of Heritage on there, and after that, I'm moving over to AO3 only.

Today, I need to do some work for our project in university.

The task: create a pc game for blackjack and I am creating the GUI for that, which sounds easier than it actually is.

The first working prototype has to be done next week and I still struggle to create the player lobby and the game room itself.

And because this isn't enough of stress, my brain is simply tired right now and I would rather sleep another two hours than sit in a dark room (the weather is shitty right now, no sun, only rain and dark clouds) and stare at a screen.

My boyfriend is also part of the team and he is currently sitting at the unit tests for the API and the game logic. Normally, we wanted to do something together over the weekend, but right now, I don't know if we are able to finish work until today evening...

Fingers crossed!

I hope, I can update on that later on.
