Grand Duke Ernst Ludwig of Hesse (1868 - 1937) and his children

Ernst Ludwig was the son of Ludwig IV, Grand Duke of Hesse and By Rhine, and Princess Alice of the United Kingdom. His four sisters were Victoria (mother to Alice Mountbatten and, therefore, grandmother of Prince Phillip,) Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, a martyr of the Russian Revolution and a saint, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia, and Princess Irene (she was known as Princess Heinrich because she married Prince Heinrich, the brother of the Keiser.)

He suffered many painful losses throughout his life, including that of his beloved firstborn, daughter Elizabeth, whom he fathered with Victoria Melita, Princess of Edinburgh. The beautiful girl died two years after the couple divorced. Subsequently, he entered a second marriage with Princess Eleonore of Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (the family called her Onor.) He had two sons with Onor, George Donatus (George Donatus married a sister of Prince Phillip) and Louis.

Ernst Ludwig adored children all his life and was always ready to romp with his own, his sisters' children (OTMAA), and later with his grandchildren. He never got over the death of his beautiful little daughter.

Princess Ella’s playhouse!

This playhouse belonged to Princess Elisabeth of Hesse (1895-1903)

The story of the playhouse is as followed:

When Ella went to spend half of the year with her mother, her father had a special plan. Grand Duke Ernst Louis of Hesse commissioned a little playhouse to be built for his daughter in the forest of Schloss Wolfsgarten (a hunting lodge in Darmstadt, the capital of Hesse). When Princess Elisabeth got back, she was surprised by the little playhouse and was so happy! When her cousins came over, they played in the playhouse and had so much fun.

When she died in 1903, the playhouse wasn’t used anymore until her half brothers (Georg Donatus and Ludwig) started to play in it

If you go visit Wolfsgarten today, you can find the playhouse sitting in the same spot as it was in 1902.

No one is allowed inside the house out of respect for its past visitors but there are photos of the inside.

Ella had immense fun in this little house and whenever you visit, you can know that you are standing in the same spot as Ella and her cousins and friends once did.

Do we have this right?

In "V for Vendetta," the Guy Fawkes mask represents resistance against tyranny and oppression. It symbolizes rebellion and the desire for freedom from authoritarian rule. The character V wears the mask to hide his identity and to embody the spirit of defiance against an oppressive government. The mask has since become a symbol of protest and anonymity in various real-world movements.

Guy Fawkes was a member of a group of English Catholics who attempted to assassinate King James I and blow up the Houses of Parliament in London on November 5, 1605, in what is now known as the Gunpowder Plot. The plot aimed to protest the persecution of Catholics in England and restore a Catholic monarch to the throne. Fawkes was discovered guarding the gunpowder and arrested, ultimately leading to the failure of the plot. Today, his name and likeness, particularly the Guy Fawkes mask, are often associated with rebellion and resistance against authority.

Why is Beale looking like Guy Fawkes a guy who fights against tyranny but…

Don Okafor’s namesake was a real Okafor in Nigeria, Major Donatus Okafor was a Nigerian army officer, Commander of the Federal Guards Brigade, and one of the principal plotters of the January 15, 1966 coup, an event that derailed Nigeria's nascent democracy and introduced military rule to Nigeria.

What if…? First, remember when Rick and family thought they were attacking the Saviors then realized that it was just a satellite of the Sanctuary? Then Carol and Maggie were kidnapped and taken to a fuel depot like the same setup as the CRM? Remember how no one knew where the Sanctuary was until Carl hid out in a truck?Remember how everyone called themselves Negan many saviors didn’t even know who he was,

What if Beale isn’t the diabolical monster but just the figurehead of the CRM. I think they have purposely given us so little of Beale. What if the CRM is a worldwide Sanctuary?

He references General Hugh Mercer was with George Washington during the crossing of the Delaware River and the subsequent Battle of Trenton. Mercer played a crucial role in the Continental Army’s operations during this time. He led one of the columns of troops during the crossing and fought bravely alongside Washington’s forces during the Battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776. Tragically, Mercer was mortally wounded during the battle and passed away a few days later, making the victory at Trenton bittersweet for the Continental Army.
