My trip to Walt Disney World’s Epcot as a Regressor!✨🥰🪩 Part Two (SFW)

Here’s the Second part of a thread talking about my day as a Regressor at Epcot! Below I’ll talk about the food, shops and the overall experience!

Disclaimer- No one in my life knows about my Regression so I couldn’t fully fully regress, you know. Didn’t stop me from slipping a few times. I mean Disney is made for the kid inside of all of us! Perfect place for a Regressor!😄

Let’s talk about some food!😋

Like I state in my previous part, Epcot is broken up into two different sections: The World Celebration and the World Showcase.

When it comes to food options, I have a controversial take…don’t waste your time eating in the World Celebration.

In the world showcase which I talk about below you’ll see that there is a grand variety of food option in each country you visit. So take the time to go to your fav country and eat there instead🙌😋

Food in the World Showcase🥖🥨

This is the place to eat because…well…you literally have all the international food you can think of at your disposal! I had an amazing pastry in Norway to start my day off, then I had the most amazing sushi in Japan, then I ate a Jumbo pretzel in Germany. But the best by far was France!

When I go to Disney I’m more of a snack type of person than a sit down at a restaurant type of person. If you’re like me, then you gotta go to the cafe in the France Pavilion! THE PASTRY ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD! I could literally eat everything there😋

For people like myself with stomach issues or conditions, France is your place to eat! If you’re looking for something plain yet filling get yourself to this cafe l and order yourself a baguette! I wasn’t feeling too well when I went to France at the beginning of the day so I got myself some bread and LET ME TELL YOU IT WAS A LIFE SAVER! After that I started to feel better and ordered myself a dessert! So between getting yourself a baguette in France or a pretzel in Germany, you’ll be safe my stomach issue friends💞

In my opinion Epcot is the best place for food. Whether you’re looking for things on the plainer side or are looking for a wide variety. It’s your place to go to.

Shopping in Epcot🛍️

The beauty of Epcot is shopping in different countries. As someone who’s dream is to travel around the world, Epcot is the place!

I’ve always dreamed of going to Japan just for its cute Sanrio stuff alone. So when I went to Epcot I was hoping the Japan store would be the same…

I was not disappointed!!😆

They had it all!! Everything you could think of Sanrio, they had! Also for my friends who love Anime they had a pretty good selection too! This, in my opinion, was the best store in all of Epcot!

Other shopping options🛍️

Every country has a gift shop full of things that are from that country culture. I love China’s Lucky Cats and the Winnie the Pooh selection in the United Kingdom. So whatever country you go to they’ll always have something from the culture and something Disney that relates with it.

But out of the World Showcase they have great gift shops in the rest of Epcot too! Though these sell more generic Disney Merch. Not that it’s a bad thing! I got myself something from here and the World Showcase!

Like I said above I REALLY wanted something Sanrio from the Japan store! So this is what I got myself!

I got Chococat! 😄 Being a big cat person myself, Chococat has always been my favorite of the Sanrio characters! He is super soft!! I’m so happy I got him for myself!🥰

Lastly, like I talked about in my first part I am a huge fan of the ride Journey into Imagination. So I got myself a cute plush of the ride’s main character Figment😄

The best thing about him is he sits on your shoulder thanks to a magnet! It’s so cute and I got so many compliments from people saying how cute they thought he was!🥰

Epcot overall🪩✨

Overall I had such an amazing time in Epcot! I learned a lot from the different countries I visited in the world showcase and had a lot of fun on all the ride I managed to go on!

Plus I got to meet a character this time! I met Donald who was just outside of the Grand Fiesta Tour ride!

He was so cute!! He kept pointing to his photo and saying he painted it. I complimented his outfit and he was so happy I liked it! He was so much fun to meet and was a really funny character!😂

I would definitely recommend Epcot to everyone who want to learn something new and have a fun time! Between the food and the rides, it was a really great time for me!

Oh! And don’t forget to watch the firework show at the end! It was beautiful! Plus the Epcot Ball lit up along with the show🤩

rating each country’s mickey ears at epcot, december 2023

there were several countries where i didn’t see any ears at all, which i was sad about (especially morocco and japan !!!)

also not counting ears you could buy elsewhere in the parks, like mexico also had the churro ears and germany had snow white ears. ONLY looking at the epcot pavilion exclusives

first up is the uk

7/10, the mannequin’s fit makes it. this girly was big on superwholock era tumblr. points for the floral wreath ears, i’m partial to ears that aren’t solid. also the only ears i saw that incorporated the country’s flag which now that i say that feels both weird and a missed opportunity

next up is france

6/10 i like the colors and macarons are a favorite snack of mine but this design is too childish for my tastes (yes i’m allowed to critique mickey ears for being too childish do not @ me)

ok moving onto italy

1) the venice ears. 7/10 i like what they were going for but i feel the colors and design concept would be better suited to like, paris, rather than venice

2) the limoncello ears. 8/10, love the colors and like the pattern on the bow. not big on sequined ears personally though i concede that they look cool at night. mixed? feelings on the lemon charm.

now germany

7/10 embroidered edelweiss is perfect no notes. the bow…well for one i don’t think it needs to be sequined. for two, i think the stripes + colors lend it an americana vibe which….not really the point lol

onto norway, land of vikings and elsa according to disney

1) embroidered flower ears. 10/10, i liked them so much i paid $37 after tax for them. no regrets especially because i didn’t see anyone else with any of the country specific ears and i got compliments when i wore them today lol

2) both variants of the viking hat ears. 10/10 no notes. no, not even about historical accuracy

finally, mexico

1) embroidered flower ears. 8/10, love the colors, ribbon, and stitching on the borders. something about the design feels empty to me though, maybe the white background

2) concha ears. 11/10, the ear design peaked here

bonus round: the epcot ears

9/10, very cute, i like the texture and iridescence. the bow is cute but feels a little too busy. would wear with the epcot crewneck i bought, though.

New Magical Chalk Art Characters at EPCOT

The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts brings vibrant new chalk art to World Showcase and beyond. As part of the popular "Chalk Full of Characters" offering, guests can embark on a scavenger hunt to find their favorite Disney personalities transformed into colorful murals. From classic characters like Mickey Mouse to newer additions like Luca, artists have rendered over 25 Disney figures in a variety of eye-catching styles.

New Characters Several new faces join the lineup for 2024. The Aristocats Over in the France Pavilion, guests can now spot Aristocats Marie, Berlioz, Toulouse, and their mother Duchess. The adorable kittens scramble up a building near Palais du Vin as their eccentric Uncle Waldo looks on. The Great Mouse Detective At the United Kingdom Pavilion, Basil the Baker Street detective chases his nemesis Professor Ratigan and sidekick Fidget. Loyal companion Dr. Dawson and client Olivia Flaversham follow behind in this dynamic scene from the 1986 film. Pocahontas New indigenous characters appear at The American Adventure pavilion. Pocahontas's racoon friend Meeko reaches for a treat held just out of reach by hummingbird Flit. Their colorful mural decorates a column outside the Art of Disney store. Returning Favorites In addition to the newcomers, many beloved characters make return appearances in 2024. Remy and Emile The rat brothers from Ratatouille can once again be found scurrying around Gusteau's restaurant in the France Pavilion. Remy climbs a pipe with a wheel of cheese while Emile snacks on grapes overhead. Peter Pan Over in the United Kingdom, Peter Pan's shadow peers in through a second-story window as if looking for its owner. The mischievous silhouette appears above the Toy Soldier shop, delighting Disney fans. Duffy and Gelatoni These best furry friends visiting from Tokyo can be spotted outside Mitsukoshi Department Store in Japan. Duffy the teddy bear and his artsy feline pal Gelatoni have painted a Mickey design on the beam below their chalk mural. Norway Pavilion - Snowgies: On the side of a building near the restrooms - Bruni: Inside a faux fireplace by the outdoor seating at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

China Pavilion - Little Brother: Outside the House of Good Fortune near a bench - Mushu and Cri-Kee: By the Joy of Tea store Germany Pavilion - Pascal #1: Blending in on the Volkskunst shop sign - Pascal #2: Outside Karamell-Kuche holding popcorn - Pascal #3: Painting near Volkskunst crafts and clocks Italy Pavilion Find Luca, Alberto, and Machiavelli the cat by a decorative fountain.
