Decorative Sunday
This Sunday we present plates from L’ornament des Tissus: Recueil Historique et Pratique (The Ornament of Fabric: A Historical and Practical Collection), a French portfolio publication of one hundred chromolithographs highlighting textile design through the ages. The portfolio was published in 1877 in Paris by Ducher et Cie, publishers for the Société Centrale des Architectes, with introductory essays and explanatory texts accompanying each plate by Auguste Dupont-Auberville, a successful banker and collector of porcelain and textiles.
Charles Kreutzberger illustrated the textile designs and the lithography was completed by Frédéric Régamey. Text was printed by L'imprimerie Alcan-Lévy, the printing outfit of Félix Alcan. Alcan’s father Moyse Alcan was a publisher in their hometown of Metz, and his grandfather Gerson-Lévy was an educator, publisher, author, and translator, and was one of the earliest advocate of Reform Judaism in France.
See image captions for description of plates.
You can find more Decorative Sunday posts here.

Job, Five Scrolls, Daniel, and Ezra-Nehemiah with commentaries, [Naples: Joseph ben Jacob Ashkenazi Gunzenhauser, 1487]
In about 1486, a German Jewish immigrant named Joseph Gunzenhauser (d. 1490) entered into a printing partnership in Naples, a centre of the contemporary book trade. The following year, his press issued three works in rapid succession: Psalms with the commentary of Rabbi David Kimhi (Radak), Proverbs with the commentary of Rabbi Immanuel ben Solomon of Rome, and the present title, containing the rest of the books of the Ketuvim with one commentary each (some printed here for the first time): Job with that of Rabbi Levi ben Gerson (Ralbag or Gersonides), Lamentations with that of Rabbi Joseph Kara, and the Song of Songs, Ruth, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra-Nehemiah, and I-II Chronicles with that of (or attributed to) Rashi. In doing so, Gunzenhauser brought to a close a process, set in motion in Bologna in 1482 and continued in Soncino in 1486, of printing each book of the Hebrew Bible with at least one commentary.

VF Undyne ?
Levi (VF Undyne)
Age and Height - Mid 30s, 7’2
Magic Color and Abilities - Levi has predominantly red magic, but can still use green magic. She has several unique abilities that she’s honed over the many years of training under both Asgore and Gerson, including but not limited to summoning large scale attack patterns, using her standard and green magic at the same time, summoning attacks directly from physical objects (usually the ground). And manipulating an attacks direction even after being cast. She is terrible with healing magic.
Fighting Style - She has an incredibly aggressive fighting style. Every blow lands like a finishing blow, she’s very heavy handed, but this can work against her as it wears her stamina much faster. She often gets away with it though since she naturally has a lot of magic to rely on. She only ever really takes the defensive against an opponent she knows she has to pay attention to, which is very few and far between. Even though she predominantly relies on brute strength, she’s still very agile and fast, and not an opponent to be trifled with. Fights with a combination of close range and long distance attacks, but her long distance attacks are stronger.
Favorite Relationship Dynamics - I really really really love the dynamic she has with Void. It could not be defined as healthy while they were still underground, not by any stretch of the imagination, but she was one of the very few monsters to treat him, well, like a monster, even despite the fact she arguably has the most reason not to. Her heightened sensitivity to oddities gained by her unusually high amount of DT means she’s extra aware there’s something off about him (before the truth came out), but she instead chose to take him at face value, taking him under her wing like the younger sibling she absolutely never wanted. I also actually love her dynamic with Red. They do not get along, but they make it work, since they quite literally have to work together and both care about Void. Begrudging adopted family. Her dynamic with Vee is also very very good, they’re definitely very good for each other, it’s just…hard, to have a romantic relationship in an underground like theirs. But Vee makes her laugh, and was one of the first people to gain her trust after the incident that lost her an eye.
What They Do Post Surfacing - She works for the Embassy! She’s head of security!! And she actually really loves her job! She frequents the place Blaze (Grillby) opens up up top to spend time with her old crew from the guard, and of course spends more quality time with Void, whenever he’s in timeline. She’s also one of the volunteers of the monster youth outreach center, she’s very good at getting the rowdy older kids in line =^)
A Random Headcanon - She wouldn’t ever admit it, but sometimes she visits Toriel for tea and chatting, because she really misses Asgore, or rather, the Asgore she knew way back when, anyways…

Levi Strauss Plaza, San Francisco (No. 1)
Levi Strauss Plaza, also known as Levi Plaza or Levi's Plaza, is an office complex located in North Beach/Telegraph Hill along The Embarcadero in San Francisco. It houses the headquarters of Levi Strauss & Co. As of 1998 the company Blue Jeans Equity West is the landlord of the complex. In 1998 the ownership of the company consisted of Equitable Real Estate, Gerson Bakar, Jim Joseph, and Al Wilsey. Steve Ginsberg of the San Francisco Business Times said in 1998 that the complex is "the only true corporate campus" in San Francisco.
The site was originally known as Frederick Griffing's wharf. Eventually, the land was built up and the wharf was buried along with Frederick Griffing's ship. When Levi's Plaza was under construction, the buried ship was rediscovered.
Levi Strauss Plaza was developed by Interland Development Corp., owned by Jim Joseph, the franchise owner of the Los Angeles football franchise of the United States Football League. Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum Inc. (HOK) designed the structure. Levi Strauss & Co. did the interior design, and Gensler and Associates supervised Levi Strauss's efforts. The construction of the 763,000-square-foot (70,900 m2), seven story facility began in 1979 and was completed in 1981. $110 million was spent on the exterior building, and Levi Strauss spent $120 million on interior improvements.
Levi Strauss & Co. first moved to the facility in 1981.
Around 1995 arbitration proceedings between Levi Strauss and the owners occurred, due to negotiations over an increase in rent. Steve Ginsberg of the San Francisco Business Times said that some real estate insiders predicted that Levi Strauss may leave the complex due to the arbitration. The Levi Strauss company, in the 1990s, hired Staubach Co. so it could consider its headquarters options. Ginsberg said that despite the arbitration proceedings that previously took place, Levi Strauss "never seriously considered leaving" the City of San Francisco nor the Levi's Plaza complex.
In a two-year period until 1998 the company workforce had declined slightly to 1,700 employees. Ginsberg said that this was a reflection of a 1997 revenue slump.
In 1998 Levi Straus signed a letter of intent stating that it will renew its lease for 620,000 square feet (58,000 m2). In terms of the square footage, as of March 8, 1998 it is the largest lease deal in San Francisco of the 1990s. Because a decline in the company's workforce, the company reduced the amount of square footage that it held. Levi Strauss announced that it will invest several million additional dollars to renovate the complex, which at the time was 17 years old. The renovation work, scheduled to begin in 1999, was to affect all three major Levi's Plaza buildings, including the one housing the executive offices. Ginsberg said that the new "new, open look" design to be implemented in the renovations was to be "more conducive to team interaction."
In 2008 the San Francisco Business Times reported that Levi Strauss & Co. may consider moving the headquarters out of San Francisco once the lease in Levi's Plaza expired on December 31, 2012. In 2009 the company renewed its lease at the complex for a ten-year period; the company had 1,200 employees at the facility at the time. The new lease begins on January 1, 2013.

A saber: para os pães da proposição, e para a flor de farinha, para a oferta de manjares, e para os coscorões asmos, e para as sertãs, e para o tostado, e para toda a medida e mensura;
E para estarem, cada manhã, em pé, para louvarem e celebrarem ao Senhor, e semelhantemente à tarde;

Satan, Prince of This World
into the apartment of a woman of easy virtue? That he would do so just doesrit make sense. Had the documents been stolen the Illuminati would have used their wealth, power and influence, and the millions of pairs of eyes they control, to get them back.
Investigating every angle of the mystery of the missing documents, my friend reached the conclusion that they were given to a lady high in French society who also happened to be a member of “The Lodge of Adoption” attached to the Paris Council of the Palladian Rite. Evidence indicated that the man who gave the documents to this lady was one of the highest and most influential Grand Orient Masons in France, and was undoubtedly a member of Pike’s New and Reformed Palladian Rite.
The lady in question was undoubtedly instructed to whom she should entrust the documents so they would get into the hands of those who directed the anti-Semitic movement in Russia. By telling this Russian nobleman that the documents had been stolen from a Jew who was a high degree Mason, it was thought to deceive him into believing the woman’s motives were ‘pure’ and that no intrigue and deceit were involved.
These deductions explain also how the documents first were given to one newspaper and then to another. It was not until after publication had failed to produce the anti-Semitic reaction that the original or another copy was placed in the hands of Professor Satan. Nilus and produced the desired result. I know for a positive fact copies of Nilus’ Jewish Peril were placed in the possession of every prominent Russian who was attached to the Imperial household and employed by the Tsar in any kind of executive capacity. Copies were placed on the bureaus of Ladies -in-waiting in their rooms within the Imperial Palace.
Revolutionary activities had divided Russian society into two groups: those who were loyal to the Tsar, and those who were not. Publication, and wide-spread circulation, of the documents under the title TheJewish Peril undoubtedly enabled those who directed the Russian revolutionary movement, from behind the scenes, to develop their plot and further their secret plans. One of them was the international banker, Jacob Schiffof New York, U.S.A., whose revolutionary leader was, Trotsky.
Working with Schiff to bring about the subjugation of Russia was the Warburg family of Hamburg, Germany. The members of this banking house were closely connected with, and on exceptionally friendly terms with Gerson Blechroeder, who was director of Pike’s supervisory Council of the Palladian Rite in Berlin. The secret headquarters of those fomenting the Russian revolution in Germany was the big building on Valentinskamp Strasse where Armand Levi had established the “Secret (Jewish) Federation,” which became known as “The Sovereign Patriarchal Council,” backed by the Rothschild’s millions.
Strange as it may seem but as additional proof that the S.O.S. does not consist of orthodox Jews, but of them who say they are Jews, and are not, and thus lie, we find that Lenin was being coached to take over leadership of the revolutionary war in Russia by none other than Lemmi who had succeeded Mazzini as Pike’s director of political action. Lemmi had set up his headquarters near Geneva, Switzerland.
Thus we see how the lectures inspired by Pike, were made to appear to be a conspiracy of Jews to win world domination. This charge the real Jews bitterly resented. But when we clear away all confusing aspects of the case the TRUTI-I stands out clear and unmistakable. The version of the lectures placed in the hands of Professor Nilus was used to help those who direct the W.R.M. AT THE TOP to foment the Russian revolutions of 1905 and 1917, and thus put Pike’s plans into effect EXACTLY as he intended.
Marsden explains the meaning of the word ‘Goyim to be ‘Gentiles or non Jews.’ With this I cannot agree. The word ‘Goyim’ meant originally, “The masses of/or the common people.” But as the word was used by Weishaupt, its meaning changed to ‘Lesser Beings-the mob.’ Pike used the word to mean ‘human cattle.’ The whole of humanity, whom he said was to be integrated into a mass of mongrelized humanity, and enslaved body, mind and soul.
The word ‘agentur’ is also used frequently in the lectures. Marsden says the word means, “The whole body of agents and agencies made use of by the Elders (of Zion), whether members of the ‘tribe’ or their Gentile ‘tools.’ With this explanation I must disagree also. The word Agentur’ as used in the Protocols, means, ‘every member of society the Synagogue of Satan control and use to put the Luciferian conspiracy into effect, and keep it progressing towards its ultimate goal, regardless of race, colour or creed.’
The words ‘The Political’ are said by Marsden to mean not exactly the ‘body politic,’ but the entire machinery of politics. With this definition I do agree.
It must be clearly understood that I believe the PROTOCOLS are those of the Synagogue of Satan. The copy given Nilus was altered slightly to ‘make believe they are those of the Elders of Zion, so that those who direct they conspiracy AT THE TOP could use both Zionism and anti-Semitism to further their own secret plans to cause revolution in Russia.
PROTOCOL #1 is nothing more or less than a reiteration of Weishaupt’s principles.
A. That in the beginnings of the structure of society mankind was subjected to brutal and blind force, afterwards to law, which is exactly the same force disguised. This being so,

SMART BOMB
The completely unnecessary news analysis
by Christopher Smart
July 20, 2021
IN UTAH, YOU COMMIT A HATE CRIME WHEN...
1 – In Utah, you commit a hate crime when you smirk at a cop.
2 – It could be a hate crime, in Utah, if you eat fries without fry sauce.
3 – It's a hate crime to teach white kids that discrimination still exists.
4 – In Utah it's a hate crime to say everyone should get vaccinated.
5 – You commit a hate crime if you say flag wavers are dangerous.
6 – In Utah it's a hate crime to put Jack Daniels in your Diet Coke.
7 – It could be a hate crime if you tell Mike Lee to shut the F--- up.
8 – You've committed a hate crime if you turn off your neighbors sprinklers.
9 – It's a hate crime in Utah if you throw red paint on the D.A.'s office.
10 – And it's a hate crime to dress as Capt. Moroni and attack the Capital.
JAN. 6 WAS NOT TREASON THEY SAY BECAUSE...
Just because former President Donald Trump for weeks urged supporters to come to Washington D.C. because the election was stolen, doesn't make it treason. Just because Trump told a crowd of up to 40,000 people to march to the Capitol to stop the election of Joe Biden from being certified, doesn't mean he was attempting a coup. Just because he said, “If you don't fight like hell you won't have a country anymore,” doesn't mean he was pushing the mob to insurrection. Of course not. The Constitution defines treason as one of two distinct, specific acts: “levying war” against the United States or “adhering to its enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” But Carlton F. W. Larson, a treason scholar at U.C. Davis, told New Yorker writer Jeannie Suk Gerson that the attempt to stop certification of the election met the definition. “It’s very clear that would have been seen as ‘levying war'.” But he does not expect the feds to file treason charges against Trump or the mob because there are too many legal complications. However, seditious conspiracy, where two or more people conspire to overthrow, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against it is a much easier prosecution. Don't hold your breath.
GOV. COX: WE MOSTLY HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE
Our squeaky-clean governor, Spencer Cox, wants to assuage fears that any skullduggery is afoot and there really is nothing to see here. Sure, there are a whole bunch of documents that news reporters want to see about how no-bid inside deals with friends for the Covid response cost Utah taxpayers truckloads of dough. None other than Tribune hefe Paul Huntsman has filed suit against the state, contending Gov. Clean is delaying access to public documents because... well, just because. We already know about one boondoggle when Meds in Motion of Draper got an $800,000 no-bid contract to buy hydroxychloroquine touted by Trump that, of course, is not a treatment for Covid. Other records reveal that personal connections led state officials to let contracts to friends. As Midvale Democrat Andrew Stoddard told The Tribune: “[W]e’re spending taxpayer dollars without any accountability.” Like $18 million worth of gloves, gowns, masks from the vendor Future Stitch. Other no-bid contracts include a $2.75 million deal with mobile developer Twenty to create an app to track people potentially exposed to Covid. Of course, it didn't work. But don't worry because there really isn't anything to see here. And our nice governor isn't hiding a darn thing.
Post script — Well, that was the week that was here at Smart Bomb where we keep of the Apocalypse so you don't have to. It is conflagration season and it's so bad that 30,000 square miles of forest in Siberia has gone up in flames as temperatures in the Arctic have soared to100 degrees. Meanwhile, the Covid Delta variant is raging across the globe, including the U.S. where we are again up to 30,000 infections a day. But a lot of Republicans don't want to get vaccinated because QAnon says it's a plot. Well, let's just forget all about that stuff and have a good time. Nero fiddled while Rome burned and that seemed to have worked out all right. It's been a big week for Utah in the national news. Salt Lake City-based Black Rifle Coffee made The New York Times for it's great success with right-wingers. The Times also focused on the Utah Department of Natural Resources for stocking lakes with an airplane that drops fish by the hundreds from it's underbelly. And last but not least was Nathan Wayne Entrekin who dressed as Capt. Moroni for the Jan. 6 insurrection. OK, Entrekin is actually from Arizona but we can claim him on account Salt Lake City is the Rome of The Church with a really long name. And if that doesn't make you feel religious, what would?
Well Wilson, we're living in some pretty weird times. Maybe you and the guys in the band have a little something to capture its essence and help us through this, whatever it is:
Twas in another lifetime one of toil and blood When blackness was a virtue, the road was full of mud I came in from the wilderness a creature void of form "Come in," she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothes I bargained for salvation and she gave me a lethal dose I offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn "Come in," she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm" Well I'm living in a foreign country but I'm bound to cross the line Beauty walks a razor's edge someday I'll make it mine If I could only turn back the clock to when God and her were born "Come in," she said "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

Somente eles estavam autorizados a realizar o trabalho no Tabernáculo.
No culto bíblico somos sempre lembrados destas cosias.
Rev. Daniel Alves
