with the recent scans of GosuLoli Sewing cropping up.... here's a lil flashback to long long ago when me and mom used the mook to make me a gingham one-piece using one of the patterns

She thought the word "katyusha" for alice-bands was hilarious, and my dad absolutely lost his shit when he read the "lolita" on the cover.

These mooks overall are great - unlike american pattern there aren't pieces to cut out. They print EVERYTHING as one giant sheet, and you simply follow the numbers to trace out the specific sections. No worries of losing pieces or stuffing envelopes - can always just retrace the piece again in future Ditto for resizing pieces - no anxiety over cutting up the wrong part in the set and praying it would tape back ok. Just... retrace a new copy if need be! The mook is still there!! (very useful mook to loan out for same reasons)

Added eyelet lace to the skirt to break up the monotony a bit

Would wear it just as a casual summer dress for a while

The sock toppers & hairbow I made later, and the tiny matching bows on the socks were something a dear friend found (think they're shoe clips?)

Then braved taking it to an event - an anime con no less. Was absolutely dead-tired & heat-exhausted this day, but there was a Mitsukazu Mihara panel to attend!! Something about the ringlets with this Giant Hairbow`... ¯_(ツ)_/¯

anyway, got much use outta this dress for couple years

in truest "big sis" vibe we gots goin, afterwards the dress went to a friend... She also got quite a bit of wear outta it!

warning: this is going to be a long ass post so scroll down to your execution! it will go in the same order as the shsl title list.

shsl blogger (despalr): your hands are tied with a chain link rope that is wrapped around a pole. monobear turns your computer/laptop into a humanoid being. it's love at first sight, and you fall to your knees in desire and anguish. you give yourself over to what once was your life, and it rewards you with the kiss of death. when its face touches your head, it shocks you to the center of your core, leaving you fried and loveless. <3

shsl amateur geologist (gosuloli): your body is tied by its appendages and around a giant boulder that sits on top of a hill. your mouth is gagged, so it's already difficult to breathe. monobear lightly touches the boulder, and it moves to the cliff. the slope underneath is covered in jagged rocks, which your body meets only moments after falling of the edge. wheee~

shsl murderer (syosama): each appendage is tied to a horse's reigns. the tune of a jackbox that lies in monobear's hands can be heard softly in the background. you can only see the sky above you, which is a blue as the ocean. as each second passes by in the song, a horse takes exactly one step. when the song has reached its end, the horses will be far enough that your joints have been dislocated, but your skin hasn't started ripping. monobear plays the song a second time. it is during that song when you are dismembered. oops.

shsl virtual creator (zetsvbou): you are blindfolded and strapped to the ground with belt buckles. monobear presses a button, and all of your favorite action characters surround you. one by one, they make their weapons appear in the hands. on the count of three, they all strike, leaving you body pierced by what you had loved and created. :c

shsl realist (actualsailorscoutpekopekoyama): your body is tied up, and you are hanging upside by a tree branch in a dense forest. a minotaur is at the other stretch of forest, ready to strike. monobear shoots a starting fire with a gun, and waves a checkered flag. the minotaur hooves the ground, and charges at you. it misses a few times, scraping your arms with its horns as it runs past. now, you are swinging back and forth from the momentum and speed from the beast. it stands off to the side and waits until you swing into its horns. ~
