Cincinnati’s Irwin M. Krohn Conservatory, built in 1933 as Eden Park Greenhouse. Art Deco in style, built around a Gothic arch.
Houses beautiful Art Deco touches, (as above) in the floor vents, the water pipes, the railings, the stained glass entry, among its over 3500 plant species from around the world.
The Crown of Thorns plant (above) is the oldest plant on display (whose age can be verified).

“At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed that all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to say this, that or the other, but it is ‘not done’ to say it, just as in mid-Victorian times it was ‘not done’ to mention trousers in the presence of a lady. Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness. A genuinely unfashionable opinion is almost never given a fair hearing.”
George Orwell

A view of the Nave of Southwell Minster from the Pulpitum.
One of the disadvantages of visiting a medieval cathedral on a sunny day is that the bright light makes it hard to focus half of my photos.
