MY GUNDAM VIDEO FREE FROM COPYRIGHT PURGATORY! Since G-Witch was announced, I saw debates if Suletta was the first female Gundam protagonist. I did lots of researched and made a video on my findings on Gundam anime and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury.

GN-0000DVR/II Gundam 00 Diver Arc

Let's continue our very unneeded and out-of-date deconstruction of Build Metaverse with looking at how the show handled Build Divers. As far as characters go, it probably did the best overall job, with four of the six main cast members returning, as well as Magee. We also get to see them interact with each other, and not just Rio or characters from other seasons. Having both Riku and Ayame get new Gunpla is also a big bonus.

Though I am not without complaints, as this is another instance where they put the original character designs over the updated ones, and it's even more egregious here because those aged up versions of those characters interacted directly with the Re:Rise cast and had decent screen time, unlike Sei who was only ever hinted at. It's pushing nostalgia for something that's not even 5 years old.

The Kit: The kit is mostly the 00 Diver again with a few new pieces, though unlike the Shin Burning, it's a bit more hit or miss. The GN Drives are probably the best we've ever gotten on a High Grade, with the full wing units capable of a ton of poses and gimmicks, and the Drives themselves being multi-layered and capable of opening and closing. They also use metallic stickers for the GN Particle effect.

But things like the chest and horns aren't as great, feeling loose in places. It's the first time since the Seltsam that I've had to glue something to keep it in place. And I understand why they chose to redo the Diver instead of the Sky, since we recently got the 00 Sky Moebius, but it's weird that Riku is the only character to not get his ultimate unit upgraded.

The Details: Apart from the usual panel lining and black fill, I used metallic green underneath the translucent green elements, similar to what I did with the Shin Burning. I also used metallic blue on the eyes, cameras, and a few other places like the feet and elbows.

And, as I mentioned, the chest would not hold together, so I had to use a dab of glue to hold it in place.

Overall, while the tolerance issues were a bummer, I can definitely see myself buying multiples of this kit in the future just for those GN Drives. They're that good. Apart from all that, it's a decent kit with a lot of non-intrusive gimmicks. So I'd say it's a good grab, but be aware of its issues.

Kim Possible Gundam AU idea

It'd probably be in the Build Fighters/Divers/etc universe, right now all I can think of is Kim having a very quick melee focused gunpla that uses parts of the SEED Astray suits like the Astray Red Frame Kai or the Gold Frame Amatsu, then later on she upgrades it with the DRAGOON system for some remote weapons

Ron would have a very heavy weapons suit with parts from the Heavyarms (the double gatlings from the Endless Waltz version for example) and maybe the backpack from the Full Armor Gundam from Thunderbolt or the FA Unicorn with its insane weapons rack/propellant tanks because he thinks it looks cool + has a ton of firepower, either that OR he uses a G Gundam suit like God Gundam with extra parts from some other G suits and channels his monkey kung fu skills into the fighting style of it

Shego likely uses some crazy psycommu based suit like the Nightingale or Kshatriya with a bunch of beam weaponry, of course it's colored green and black and shoots green beams

Drakken...idk maybe Char's Zaku/Gelgoog/etc parts because he thinks the three times faster thing is cool or he's the one with the heavy weapons suit instead of Ron

Wade would probably use Sentinel parts like the FAZZ or Ex-S, maybe also stuff from Hathaway's Flash like the Xi Gundam or Penelope

I remembered when I made a real-life signature attire & made it to my OC. 🧢👕👖👟 Even though my wearables & accessories are no longer used or outdated, I still have my remaining items, including my blue Shirt (which is a fanmade "Adventure Time") & my three Darwin (from Tawog) hats from the early 2010s. 🙂 I also have the solo artwork for him, but I was too late, so I'll save it for another year (if there is one). I'm Neve (Knee-vuh)!

I've been on Tumblr for eons but I finally decided to start a legitimate side blog dedicated to Gundam <3

I only recently got into Gundam (relatively speaking, considering how long the series has been around), but I've been aware of and actively interested in it since I was a child. I remember watching random episodes of G Fighter on Toonami. Years later my friend and I played through all the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam games. In like 2017 I tried to watch Mobile Suit Gundam but I got distracted with some other thing. Finally in 2020 I started binging Gundam (the Pandemic was good for one thing, I guess).

At this point, I've watched a lot of Gundam and I plan on watching everything available >:o (Still hoping for a surprise release of Neo Experience 0087 Green Divers someday)

I'm mostly going to be reblogging posts here and probably occasionally posting my own takes on episodes or series. If I become ~ popular ~ I might post other things with more substance but for now this is just a little alcove for my Gundam love.

Technically this is a Gundam blog, but I'm probably going to be posting mostly The Witch from Mercury content. Because y'know. It's new and current.

Love After World Domination Unveils New Visual and Sentai Team Cast

  The heart wants what it wants — even if that means dating the enemy!

  Love After World Domination was announced earlier this month, based on the rom-com superhero manga by Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu. The series is a twist on super sentai action, in which a red ranger falls for a beautiful enemy combatant.

  A new key visual was released today, showing lovebirds Fudo Aikawa and Desumi Magahara having a quiet moment amongst collateral damage:

In addition I made these three Cuteness Defender Uniforms for my three OC characters. The orange one based on Valkylander will be worn by Burn the Wyvrn, The green GFD one Based on the Wodom Pod will be worn by Emerald and the silver one with the shoulder pads based on Aegis Knight Gundam will be worn by Athrun Kalis. These three Characters along with Ryuku are my possible version of the BUILD DiVERS team so I hope you like them

BTW, This is the Uniform I made for Ryuku Last year. A bit outdated considering that I have plans to give it a Gen 4 but it looks nice

RYUKU: Hmm.. It has been a while since I have seen that uniform. I wonder what the Gen 4 will look like? Probably the same as the Uraven Uniform but with added blue. Now when will the Earth three Armor show up? Maybe add in the Core Gundam II as an extra armor

BURN: Mine looks okay. A bit colorful but still nice and its based on the Valkylander which is a freakin dragon

EMERALD: I must say, My Uniform is both stylish and functional similar to Jem’s. The hexagons that suppose to make it look like May’s outfit is a nice touch. Now the question is if the Wodom pod does turn into a Mobile suit armor how am I suppose to pilot it?

ATHRUN: Shoulder pads? Really? My Uniform is the goofiest of the bunch. Although, The attention to detail is actually pretty accurate. Just you wait Aliens; When I dawn the Aegis knight Armor you will all be praising me

Ladies and Gentleman, the Gunpla Meister presents his first build of 2019!

Oh boy, this was a fun one to do. Here’s the HG Grimoire Red Beret from Build Divers. While i feel indifferent about the series itself, imo a lot of the suits from the show were very hit and miss, but this guy in particular is a big hit. 

Originally featured as a grunt suit in G-Reco, the Build Divers development team came up with an absolutely brilliant idea to take the Grimoire and put a old school Army twist to the suit. I instantly fell in love with the brand new Army Green paintjob it has, and the cherry on top (no pun intended) was the red painted head. (because it’s the Red Beret...duh! don’t shun me plz.) 

And then there’s the arsenal....holy fuck. Basically the gun is the equivalent of a M16 Assault Rifle with a Grenade Launcher attached to it. But then it can also detach and become a smaller semi-automatic rifle! AND ON TOP OF THAT: There’s actually a pistol that’s attached to the back of the entire rifle that can be used as well. 4 in 1 always wins.

Grimoire Red Beret also comes with scissor claws that come out of the legs and 3 sets of combat knives: one red, one blue, and one green. Unfortunately the knives themselves come in one solid color, but look so much better with the right paint.

Lastly, this kit comes with two Minimoires. Basically a blue and green pair of Grimoire heads that come with little feet and a hand that can hold one of the combat knives.

Overall, this may be one of my newer favorite suits i’ve worked on. As i mentioned before, Build Divers had a good selection of hit designs like this one, so it might not be long before i go looking for another one in the Divers lineup. 

But for now, i’ve got a backlog i’ve gotta clean up.

EBT-1718 Dutch Gundam

A mixed mid-to-close range unit. With four heavy cannons and a pair of Ice Hooks capable of freezing enemies it comes into contact with, it specializes in immobilizing enemy units, making it easier for the heavier hitters on its team to easily remove threats.

So this little guy has a bit of a weird development history. Quite a while ago, I quizzed a few friends on some robot ideas to design a Divers-style team. One person designing an entire team can feel very systematic, so I wanted to throw in some chaos to diversify things. Dutch is one of those four designs. The motif was, funnily enough, “I want an elephant MA Mode.” I was originally going to do a mix build of the Gustav Carl and Hugo, but wasn’t entirely committed. Then they revealed the design for Benjamin V2 Gundam and Edward Second V and I was restruck with inspiration, seeing the massive hooks and imagining them as tusks, and the cannons as legs. It also helped that that particular friend loved pirates. I couldn’t quite get the ‘Avastodon Mode’ to work, but the resulting custom still looks good.

The Details: From a build standpoint, the majority of the Dutch’s parts are from the Benjamin V2 with the eyepatch and twin hooks (from two different kits) being permanent fixtures, and the side skirts removed to increase leg posability (and prevent some parts scraping). The backpack has been modified with 30MM joint parts and the cannons from (two copies of) the Edward Second.

Paintwise it’s my usual colors; black with gold as a secondary. When designing this unit, a light or icy blue was intended to be a pop color, and that worked well with the amount of surface detail and the already blue translucent parts. The back of the head has some metallic green since those spots were originally supposed to represent the MA Mode’s eyes, and I added red and yellow to the eyepatch for a flame effect, despite it being elementally ice.

As for the name, it comes from the Flying Dutchman, and the call tag comes from Edward “Blackbeard” Teach, who died in 1718.

Overall, I’m very happy with the final product. It may not have all the functions I initially wanted, but that’s fine. Hopefully I’ll get around to some more customs in the near future. I’ve got my eye on a few kits, so it’ll depend on when they come in stock.

so here’s a figure that’s a little outside of the robot i usually go for- it’s a gundam! specifically the “grimoire red beret” from gundam build divers, which i admit i know nothing about but i HAD to get my hands on this bad boy because of how on-brand he is

i mean, he’s a boxy green robot with white stars AND a red beret! even his pilot is a little white creature

assembling the kit took about 4 hours and it was super fun! it was really satisfying to see the whole thing coming together. he’s loaded with all kinds of cool features, like modular weapons, transforming leg blades and most importantly, his tiny hat sons with their tiny knives, who store in his backpack

quality-wise you can definitely tell this is a toy for displayin, not for playin, because this boy’s joints just love to fall off. still, it IS a very nice design, and you can get the grimoire red beret into a lot of neat poses!

overall, a really fun first foray into gunned hams. idk if i’ll buy another one, but i HAD to get my hands on the red beret and i had a good time!
