On Saturday, May 31, 2025, Alex Orange Drink celebrated the release of his newest album, Victory Lap, with a record release show at Mercury Lounge in New York City. Gymshorts, of Providence, RI, warmed up the late night show at 9:30, and the headliner performing Victory Lap in its entirety an hour later.

AOD’s set featured special guests, who all appear on the album, including Sarah Greenwell of Gymshorts, Alex’s stepmother, Sadhis Rivas, plus friends and family that joined him on stage for an encore song.

I captured portraits of Alex Orange Drink before the show, plus the live performances by the band and Gymshorts on the 31st that can be found in the above gallery.
