love it when regulus is just there in the bg while rosekiller is being freaky . barty could be literallt stalking evan rosier in his fuck ass car that evan clearly recognizes but is more curious abt it than worried so he literally doesn’t care . and there’s regulus in the back seat. refusing to eat the taki’s barty brought bc they are toooo messy and regulus is literally wearing shushu/tong and complaining abt the smell of weed in barty’s car . he’s just there out of codependency . james is in class . he has nothing better to do with his friday night . he is like barty this is so weird why are you camping outside but he’s also rating evan’s interior design through the window. he’s in denial abt it but hanging out w barty has made him a freak by association .

this hits on a really key point of regulus characterization to me which is him, with great lofty dignity, lamenting why everyone up to and including his own parents consider him a freak, when he spends 99% of his time engaged in freak behavior. at least the slytherins know he’s complaining about it the whole time. obviously he was shaking his head disapprovingly while putting a ski mask on barty so he could fake-kidnap his boyfriend and that makes it okay duh…..
