thinking about the possible constraints of healing in Thedas (discussions of injuries/slavery/organ trade)

like obviously you can heal a wound, knit slashed skin and broken bone back together, yada yada

my headcanon is that a healer likely can't create anything from thin air. if someone has lost a ton of blood, then they might need to recover that naturally. if someone's leg was entirely destroyed, that's not recoverable but the healer could make sure they don't die. same thing with someone who lost an eyeball, the healer can't create one out of nowhere so they better still have it. someone who lost an eye 7 years ago can't visit a healer today and get a new eye. nothing in the skill trees or codex really negates this but i could be wrong

though that does beg the question...... could someone bring someone else's fresh eye and get it, uhhhhh, installed?

and if healers can re-attach body parts (much like doctors can today), that opens up a whole new can of worms, particularly on the topic of slavers and slaves. it would create an illegal market for body parts. 'misbehaving' slaves won't just be killed, they might be parted out for profit :/ or slavers might only deal in the slave-organ trade

i think my main brainworms blorbo character in bg3 isnt even any of the companions or npcs its just durge. like the default dragonborn durge and my own custom durges who i have designed and developed a headcanon/backstory/personality for, or just the durge that is all of them, all the durges that can be or could have ever been. their storyline in general you know. their dynamics with all the characters. but also specifically durge/gortash is my current comfort ship because why the fuck not. but i also spend my nights reading durge/astarion fanfic as a bedtime story and am writing my own too and i think i need to go write some lae'zel/durge also bc that's the playthrough im doing right now and im obsessed with everything about them and why the fuck is there so little content they're so powerful.

I don’t remember seeing any numbers anywhere but seeing as Roxy Raceway is still under construction I’d say less than 10 years but more than 2?

Well yeah it's under construction, but there's cobwebs in the lobby, Cassie is familiar with the party garages and wears Roxy's makeup so it's likely her birthday party was at the Raceway while it was open, one of the logs says Roxy must be frying her circuits for the Raceway to open again, she's also actively destroying the place which is preventing it from reopening. So I'd say the Raceway is probably a bit of an outlier? It's been open before, but has largely been closed off because a certain someone keeps breaking the track.

Is two years long enough for that on the low end of the age range? I feel two years might be a bit fast... Perhaps we start at four and go from there? That should be enough time for the Raceway/Salon to have had an open season or two I think?

Any thoughts on between 4 and 10 years old? Or is there another attraction we know has had changes done to it that should maybe be factored in?

Okay but also, the color pallets of Utena and Anthy being swapped with the Prince and Princess at the beginning of episodes…. Utena being the “savior” and “more masculine” of the two while Anthy is the “bride” that needs saving… but then the princess having Utena’s colors while the Prince has Anthy’s….
