Scientists from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) recently employed high-performance computing on the H5N1 virus and its interaction with existing antibodies. Avian influenza, or H5N1 influenza as often called, has long been a concern for poultry farmers and public health officials. H5N1 infections affecting birds can also be passed to humans, resulting in severe illnesses across species. As there is currently no specific vaccine available to protect against this strain of flu, researchers are continuously searching for new methods of responding to this mutating virus. This blog will discuss key findings from this research and explore their implications for future vaccine development and pandemic preparedness.
Wild birds serve as natural repositories of the flu viruses, including H5N1. These viruses mutate when they pass on to domestic animals or even mammals, thus posing great danger. Humans tend to have serious respiratory illnesses caused by the H5N1 strains, specifically in some instances leading to death during outbreaks.

Part 3. Spaghetti Monsters. I don't know how many feet, or miles, of network cable we're in this. This is just one of two of the high speed switches, and all the low speed network had to get pulled out too. An effort was made to not have spaghetti Monsters, but it's not worth it.

Dodging Bullets
It happens to everyone. I’m not looking to pitch or convince. I am simply doing the work.
I’m getting closer.
When do you love what you do? When you decide to. When you invest in it and train yourself to see the positives. What we all want is to feel accepted. This is juts a memory. You’re only reliving it; remembering how the day went. You’re viewing what landed you in heaven or hell in real time. If you believe in that stuff. Never forget: to be in the right place at the right time can change the trajectory of your life. If what you have in your head can make you money and you see how it can be sustainable and secure don’t leave it in your head or to live as notes. Actualize and draw it out. Draw. Pull. Pull it out into reality.
Illustrate, conceptualize, collaborate, trouble shoot, reverse engineer, and tweak daily. You can’t be “the game-changer”, “genius” who “didn’t take the common road and broke social norms that changed history and the status quo” and “exposed the agenda of the secret government” by applying to schooling debt, believing what you never researched for yourself, applying to dream killing 9-5’s, never doing the work and letting it speak for itself by letting quality defend it and consistency promote it. If a 16K animation gig is sitting in your email and you start training for your restaurant manager job tonight so you can save enough money to become an animator is clocking-in placing you in a right place right time scenario? Why not clock in as the animator? This is a memory, remember? Do you not remember today changing your life?
No one else is supposed to say you make sense for creating your own fantasy world and living in it. When to be around you means to forget what you thought you knew, that’s when you’re causing rifts. Shortly there will be glimpses of your fantasy bleeding into other’s realities too and being around you is more like being in your world to them. This world does not exist without you to them at this point. But to achieve this your fantasy world must not cease to exist despite what your ears, your eyes, you bank, your day, your family, your friends attempt to convince you. Unless you asked to be here, this world owes you something and you can have anything. You must be adamant about convincing yourself that you don’t have to make sense to anyone but to those who will show you the roads and open the doors. Honestly everyone else are just bots.
So where you at the desk when you got the email? The one about the job with the 40K monthly retainer, the 40K sign on bonus, and the 280K salary? Or did you have to quit a job to respond because your boss said no phones. Was it your office desk? No office? The desk in your home studio? No house? Were you working on your apartment coffee table on the couch? Because your life is about to change from doing the work. Not from getting your life together so you can do the work. Tell yourself you love it.

SK Hynix Unveils PEB110 E1.S SSD For Efficient Data Centers
Tumblr media
The development of the high-performance solid-state drive (SSD) for data centers, called PEB110 E1.S, was announced today by SK Hynix Inc.
The AI era has increased consumer demand for ultra-fast DRAM chips, such as high bandwidth memory (HBM), and high-performance NAND solutions, such as SSDs for data centers. Following this trend, the company used the fifth-generation (Gen5) PCIe1 specifications to design and launch a new product with increased data processing speed and power efficiency.

After successfully introducing PS10102 into mass production, SK Hynix hopes to better serve a wider range of customer demands with a more comprehensive SSD portfolio with the release of PEB110.
Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCle): A high-speed, serially organized input/output interface found on digital device motherboards.
PS1010: Based on PCIe Gen5 E3.S and U.2/3, this data center/server-oriented SSD offers ultra-high performance and high capacity.
With a worldwide data center customer, the company is presently in the qualification process. Subject to qualification, mass manufacturing of the product is scheduled to start in the second quarter of the following year.

PEB110 can transport data at up to 32 gigatransfers per second (GT/s) thanks to PCle Gen5, which is used to the new device and offers double the bandwidth of Gen4. As a result, PEB110 may perform twice as well as the previous generation while increasing power efficiency by over 30%.
In order to greatly improve information security characteristics, SK Hynix has also implemented the security protocol and data model technology, or SPDM, to PEB110 for the first time in its data-center SSDs.
Secure server monitoring and authentication are provided by SPDM, a critical security solution focused on safeguarding server systems. Given the surge in assaults targeting data centers, the business anticipates that PEB110 with SPDM will satisfy clients’ demanding information security requirements.
For increased compatibility across worldwide data centers, the product will be available in three capacity versions: 2 terabyte (TB), 4 TB, and 8 TB. It also satisfies the OCP3 version 2.5 criteria.
Open Compute Project (OCP): A global consortium of top data center providers debating specifications for eSSDs, software and hardware to construct extremely energy-efficient data centers.
Ahn Hyun, Head of the N-S Committee at SK Hynix, stated, “The new product builds on the company’s best-in-class 238-high 4D NAND, boasting the most competitive standards in the industry in terms of cost, performance, and quality.”
Ahn stated, “Going forward, SK Hynix is on track to move forward with customer qualification and volume production to firmly establish their position as the leading global supplier of AI memory in the steadily expanding SSD market for data centers.”

Part 2. Chassis stripped of all networking. Once upon a time, there was a small race in the world of HPC, specifically related to "CPU Accelerators". Intel originally named these projects Knights Ferry, Knights Corner, and Knights Landing. These Xeon Phi Coprocessing units were supposed to be the future of computing, but they had a fatal float rounding error when communicating with the host processor. This error meant extreme precision calculations contained compounding errors.
This cluster was delivered before the error was ever found. We had a couple users who managed to work around it and had immensely fast jobs.
The CPU Offload Accelerators lost out to GPU Accelerators, and NVIDIA has run the show since then.
