I'm the artsieGoober named Smee. I redesigned all of Hackbents Godtiers!

(and added in the official ones too haha!)

Now before you ask... no... I'm not going to make giant aspect sheets for these like I did for the official Homestuck godtiers... that was very exhausting...

BUT

I did take the time to make separate TEMPLATE VERSIONS of every godtier so that YOU CAN edit any class you'd like to whatever aspect you'd like. Go nuts! Go crazy! I'll sneak them down below this post.

Important notice

Hey everyone,

After years of attempting to continue Hackbent, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the team can no longer keep working on this project. Our lives have gotten tougher and more hectic, and despite the constant support, the effort and stress to keep this comic floating is much greater than we ever expected.

Hackbent meant a lot to our team who worked on it. We poured our hearts into these characters that comforted and helped shape us into who we are now, and we had tons of fun continuing it when we could! We’re still ever so grateful to Alexis for permitting us to continue her story when it was initially canceled. So, it's sad to let it go especially after this long (and such a harsh cliffhanger!) We didn’t mean for this to happen, but as the old author had to depart for a greater future, it is now our turn to close the book on this chapter of our lives.

We leave you to our Discord server, which will remain open for the sake of anyone willing to revisit or talk about the comic. You can also access the team’s more in-depth thoughts on their time working on this project in the #announements channel, as well as a Google Drive consisting of our team's work for anyone that is interested. However, we have no plans on handing off the project to anyone else beyond this point, as we do not wish to burden the massive workload and narrative inconsistencies onto anyone else.

Thank you to everyone who supported this project from the beginning and we hope that our readers got to enjoy the little bit we were able to offer in the end. <3

You work on Hackbent right? How'd you guys do the overlaps on page 1653 with Actaea and Corrupt Haeton? Also the art looks amazing!!!!!!!

It's custom CSS for the comic! Just like the blue background and title header on the comic's site.

I have Coffee to thank for finding the code using this MSPFA, but it also requires knowledge of pixel dimensions to get it to work correctly. As long as you take into account the Entire Canvas dimension, you'll be good. (For example, the transparent sections in this panel are 160px each so you would have to insert that information in the actual code)

JUST REMEMBER TO MIRROR THE TRANSPARENT EDGES ON EACH SIDE OF THE IMAGE! I haven't had the patience or time to experiment myself but usually if i don't do this step, it looks messy.

I made comparisons of their original designs and my redesigns, just for fun and also so its easier to show to my professors. Also I used the palette rearranging for the Soul redesign that @cottonflurry did cuz I like it a lot better

Hi Hi Hello! This is Coffee here! Ive been slowly been making Up-to-date references of a lot of things for for public-use and for team-use! I just finished the Chief of Heart and Sage of Void references today!

We will be beginning Hackbent this Sunday! Hackbent is an MSPFA set on Alternia a couple years before the events of Hivebent, in which a group of 6 trolls are kidnapped and forced to test run an illigitimate copy of Sgrub. This copy turns out to be very buggy and kind of shit, and as a result hijinks ensue! Hackbent will take roughly 6 weeks to read (maybe a little bit more if a break is needed) If you are not yet part of the Homestuck Book Club and would like to read this or other homestuck fan works with us, or you'd just like to chill and hang out with some fellow homestucks, join here!
