Chapter 40:

A couple of guys in robes are walking and one kills a chicken, spilling its blood on the incense burner. These guys are Yakumo, Pai and Jake and they're trying to get to the Holy Land. The burner shoots a pillar of light into the sky...and nothing happens. They've failed again.

They are in Lhasa, Tibet. Yakumo says it's impossible to reach the Holy Land because they don't know where Konron is. Pai asks if it's in the Konron Mountains which Yakumo answers that it's a faint possibility but the range was named after when the real Konron died. So the meaning is different. The Konron they want is a feared city full of monsters that the ancient Chinese described in Tibet.

They ask a monk about it and he says no. People here apparently worship triclops but they know nothing about the Holy Land. The triclops are pretty much extinct so only scarce evidence of their existence remains in the religions. A statue they saw, one of Maha-Kala, is Shiva in Hinduism. That freaks out Pai because the Devil King said in one of her memories that he will destroy the world. But Yakumo said that was over 300 years ago while Hinduism has been around for 2000 years. So he can't be Shiva. He continues that in ancient times, Tibetans and Indians worshipped the triclops which explains why there are remnants of them in their religions. Pai asks if that's why he's going to kill the Devil King. He's a god of destruction so they can't have him resurrected, which is why Yakumo needs Pai. Yakumo smiles, assuring Pai that only Steve wants the Devil King dead. He just wants her memories back. She can even stab him if he's lying!

Meanwhile, Jake is doing his own investigation, getting frustrated at his lack of progress. He's being followed...

He meets Pai back at the shack, cozying up to her and snapping at Yakumo for saying hi. He admits he didn't get much headway on the investigation but he did find the name of an academic who specializes in triclops studies. Who is it? Hajime Fuji, the Japanese Folklorist.

Don't remember that name? Here's a hint: Yakumo says it's going to be difficult to track the guy down because he's dead. Why? Because Hajime Fuji is his father.

Jake freaks out, saying the whole thing is Yakumo's fault (How?!) and the chapter ends with Pai seeing a bunch of guys gathered outside the place.

Actual Impressions of Team Elf (Part 1)

Its time you know how I really feel.

(This is part of the overanalyzation series thing.)

(Tiny bit of spoilers for those who haven't read the manga.)

Ido- I like him. I know that he brutally murders people and that is his job, but I really like him. Also, his stand out moment for me was the cabbage, ok. And I'm never going to forget that.

Mei- I like Ido better. Ido has his melancholy/cabbage personality to lean on, but all Mei has is Murder Murder Murder.

Ikkaku- All hope of Ikkaku not being a horrible person has faded into the backround. He sucks. A lot. He hurt Hitoshi, he hurt Musashi, he just sucks. Also, he knew about the Man w the scar, before he met Musashi. Ok this guy deserves to be yeeted into the trash pile with Shin and Hajime.

Korijo- I love Korijo. He makes me smile. Also we have the same views on animal poaching. Except for all the murder-y stuff, he is adoreable and a Disney princess. I wonder how he got into jail originally. Also Sho probably had to create him so he could make Ikkaku look less like a jerk.

Forth- His design looks cool? I dont really know how to feel about him. I also don't really have a grasp on his and Kujyaku's powers since they are just translated as gravity and magic. What are the bounds of your powers? How are they used in the most effective way? If you can just control the gravity of an object, how would that be useful unless you wanted to make something float/sink into the earth? I just dont have a lot of information and as a data nerd, it fustrates me.

Kujyaku- I like her hat. Again with the what are your limits topic from before. She is able to teleport a large group of people from one area to another, so I can assume she is quite powerful, but except for that, I am lacking in the data category.

Yakumo- eh? Again his design is cool, and his power is cool, but he doesn't make me feel any strong like or dislike.

Manji- Manji has one braincell and I love it. I am still sad about his backstory but except for that he is pretty solid. Except the murder. I don't like murder.

Six- The fandom likes him and I like him too! His power is cool, his glasses are cool, his outfit is cool, he is just cool. That's all I got.

Well, he's no longer a boy. He's a young man. Soon to be a grown up man. But, one thing I believe will always stay the same: his sweet sweet smile.

My 1st encounter with Yama-chan was when I watched his drama series, "Hidarime Tantei Eye". At first I mistook the drama as the live adaptation of a manga series, "Physic Detective Yakumo". By then I was aware that Yama-chan is a member of a boy group Hey! Say! JUMP. At that time I wasn't that into boy group, so I didn't listen much to their songs.

Not until I watched "Kindaichi Case Files Neo" where Yama-chan brilliantly acted as Hajime Kindaichi. He can really become the living Kindaichi; smart, funny, goofy, annoying, and also ... pervert. Bwahahahaha!

Until this day, I still re-watched Yama-chan's Kindaichi version. Truly one of his best works!

The theme song for the drama series and movies were using Hey! Say! JUMP and Yama-chan's solos. I just instantly like the songs, and started my journey diving deeper into their music. It doesn't took long time for me to finally like them. Bwahahaha!

I've been watching and following Yama-chan as an actor. He's truly become one of the actor whose works I diligently follow. His facial expressions are always interesting to watch. And somehow, I feel he always shine brightly that made me blushing just by watching him. When he smiles, I also smile, and the butterflies on my stomach have suddenly set lose, fills me with happiness and sweetness.

I do admire Yama-chan's strong will, concentration, and his never give up spirits. He always thinks he can still do it since other people can do it too. So he won't give up and will keep doing it until he succeed. What a strong will that I admire and also hate at the same time since I can't as strong as he would be. XD

The boy with the strong will, although he's not a boy anymore now, I hope I can still called him by the calling "Yama-chan".
