Kusuriuri from the Anime ‘Mononoke’

The anime is an experimental Japanese psychological horror anthology based off the last three episodes (titled ‘Bakeneko’) of an older horror anime called ‘Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales’, where the mysterious medicine seller, known only as Kusuriuri (literally translated to ‘medicine seller’), first makes his appearance.

It is certainly one of the lesser known anime, however it’s right up there among my favourites, and no, not just because the main character is beautiful and mysterious..

I highly recommend giving it a watch if you’re not put off by unsettling and gruesome imagery and storylines.

Also… I apologise for not posting on here for over a year.. I honestly forget Tumblr exists sometimes
