Another part or the "What if we could see Handsome Jack in ep 1 during the lines" series!
First time drawing Sasha and a lot of her got covered up cus in a sillay at planning <3 I gotta try getting better at compositions but I'm so glad I'm finally letting myself use textures brushes, they add a lot (and make the pace of making art faster wehehe)
Headcanon I had for this scene is that Rhys reacts so harshly to Jack talking is because Jack let himself go through Rhys' head - so I decided to make like that knocking the back of the head motion. For Jack not to notice it though he's a hologram, he maybe looked somewhere else sueyye

Art-a-day Day 22: was working on a completely different pic, then for some reason decided to launch into this with very visibly zero planning, and now my battery is flat so ... yeah I'm not fixing this.
CCEO AU: AI Jack in the desert, being Rhys, or at least some version of Rhys who has to stop every couple of minutes because he remembered he has skin.
[Putting these here to bring the AU all into one tag: https://sf-bl.tumblr.com/tagged/cyber%20ceos mostly Rhack, totally out-of-sequence]

Welcome to the most self indulgent Alenoah crossover AU!!!
Tales From The Total Drama Borderlands.
Part 1/2/3
Obviously the main two have got to be Alejandro and Noah as Handsome Jack and Rhys! I originally just made these two as a one off silly edit, then I got the Brainworm TM.
Then Emma as Fiona, the more responsible older sister with a playful rivalry with Noah, and Kitty as Sasha, the younger sister who's honestly just here to have fun!

Regardless of your opinion on Rhack as a ship, I believe that AI Jack had formed a genuine emotional connection with Rhys during the events of TftBL, prior to betraying him. It doesn't need to be romantic; myself, I think that 'frenemies' is actually the most apt description of their dynamic during the game. But the 'fr' is important.
Why is this a hill I will die on? Because writers are a heartless bunch.
To rephrase: because it makes for a better story.
Or, at least, a better TRAGEDY.
And if you know anything about storytelling, you will agree that Heartless Man Manipulates Gullible Fanboy is nowhere as complex or tragic a story as Man Betrays His Only Friend in the Universe Due to Own Fatal Flaws / Deep-Rooted Trauma.
You know who also knows something about storytelling? Anthony Burch, the writer responsible for most of quality storytelling in the BL franchise. And I will never be convinced that he would opt for a straightforward, black-and-white narrative when a more complex and deeply tragic option was available.
Thank you for coming to my Ted Jack talk.
P.S. For a deeper dive into Burch's relationship with tragedy in storytelling, just look up the Ancient Greek myths and plays detailing the multi-generational tragedies of the house of Tantalus. (Yes, that's also the name of Jack's home planet.)
