David Leland was a minor character actor who only appeared in 17 productions, almost all TV Shows, almost all were westerns and almost all in 1958 & 1959. I thought he was sexy and got plenty of close-ups in the few shows I saw him in. Anyway I think he was purty.
The following stills are from Have Gun Will Travel, Wagon Train and The Rifleman.
If you google him you will find a TV Guide on EBay that had an article about him. You can read enough to see that he lost weight in 1960, which evidently killed his career.
Finished the Have Gun Will Travel episode with Vincent Price
episode is called The Moors Revenge
Will confess I knew NOTHING about this show going in,I was surprised to see Richard Boone who I associate with either being bad guys or being a fire breathing dragon as the lead
Episode is Paladin (Played by Boone) aiding two naive actors who are a husband and wife duo (Husband played by Price ) end up performing a scene from Othello (NO BLACKFACE THANK GOD ) in a Saloon where a patron who is a gunslinger has grown obsessed with the actress's poster ,planning on killing Paladin and Price
SO I thought by the title this episode was gonna go rather dark ......And its actually a light romp ,showing off Prices comedic skills and winning over the rowdy patrons through the power of the bard .The villain gives up when he realizes Price andthe actress are married .....Which if they just said that wouldve made this whole situation avodable
I had fun ,reccomend episode, its on Pluto ,its a must watch if you wanna see Price performing Shakespeare
It's Sci-Fi Saturday! What sort of genre work have you enjoyed this week? It's been a busy week here, so there wasn't a lot of time for things that aren't work. In #StarTrek-related things, I watched 2 episodes of Have Gun - Will Travel for upcoming episodes of Mission Log: Gene-ology.
I returned and saw under the sun that— the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all.
For man also knows not his time: as fish are taken in an evil net, and as birds are caught in a snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.
