Tissaia shakes her head. 'Promise me nothing, Yennefer. Flowers fade. Seasons turn. It is the way of it.' Yennefer stares down at Tissaia for a long moment before she suddenly turns away and reaches up to a low-hanging bough of the apple tree, plucking a sprig off the end of the branch. She murmurs a word, and the cold wood begins to change, growing at speed, small shoots appearing, rising into green leaves, then small buds forming, until a few pink-tinged blossoms have emerged, seemingly unaffected by the cold. 'We are mages, Tissaia,’ she says quietly, looking from the blossomed branch to Tissaia’s blue eyes. ‘I refuse to bow to the inevitability of the cycle, for under our direction, flowers may be coaxed to bloom after the long slumber of frost and snow. When I say I shall return to you, will you wait for me?’

Sounds like Cait needs to dance some Tango with Chiasa as her partner to show her what a romantic dance is like :3c

Love how they just include random people who don’t appear like. Hibari Misora isn’t mentioned, at all? Neither is Ikka?? I understand featuring Ikka as an important mention, because of the time period and other themes. I assume the pop singer is there for similar reason? Or maybe the author just wanted her there. And why is the spotted girl there when it mentions she doesn’t appear? 😭😭
Tumblr media
And then who’s that bitch on the left in the background?? I will have to read the author’s other works, maybe they’re connected somehow and those people are mentioned/appear. Still don’t know who background girly is though.
Very good manga. Very short, read it in one sitting.

Hibari from One Piece is Akainu's daughter?
・Hibari is a pink rose made by crossbreeding in Hiroshima ・A pink rose on Akainu's chest → named  after his favorite flower ・Singer Hibari Misora likes pink roses ・SWORD on Akainu's right arm Tattoo, akainu and hibari  speak in  hiroshima dialect   which implies  that they are from the same place
“In the latest chapter, Hibari's Japanese speech style is inevitably lost in translation. It is called "Hiroshima dialect", the same as Akainu. Considering only these 2 characters speak that dialect in OP which leads the japanese OP community to theorize hibari is akainus daughter“

There's this spin off approved by Oda about Akainu being a doting father who gets bullied by his daughter who has a huge crush on Koby.
Tumblr media
edit:
I'm becoming more and more convinced that Hibari is Akainu's daughter, or connected to him in some other way:
As noted when Hibari was first revealed, she speaks with a Hiroshima dialect in Japanese, with Akainu being the only other character in the series to speak that way as well.
Hibari just used a flower gun in this chapter. Akainu has flowers tattooed onto his body.
Tumblr media
In that same Akainu pic, he has a sword on his right arm and Hibari happens to be in the group SWORD.
Hibari's dialogue in this chapter seems to imply that her and Koby don't always get along (mainly with "don't get the wrong idea", though granted this could just be a TCB thing). Yes she was pleading to help save Koby back in 1061, but that was when Koby wasn't there to see her reaction. She seems to have a crush on him, but can't publicly show it to him. Being connected to Akainu can help explain why she has to bottle up her feelings.
Tumblr media
Both Kujyaku and Grus had text under their names to specify them more, but Hibari didn't. Feels like she has more to her character but Oda is keeping it hidden for now.
As mentioned in chapter 1061, she feels that she personally "owes" Koby for something in the past, most likely something relating to the Rocky Port Incident. Again this feels like we'll get some lore relating to this too meaning we might get a (very very brief) Hibari backstory. @chromatic-lamina

The VOCALOID:AI technology present in VOCALOID6 was first demonstrated in 2019, when it was used to recreate the voice of deceased Japanese singer Hibari Misora, with deep neural networks changing and adapting the voice of VY1 based on existing samples of Misora's voice. This technology was used within a version of either the VOCALOID3 or VOCALOID4 editor.

People think I named myself after Hibari Oozora, but in fact my namesake was originally Hibari Misora, a famous Japanese singer from the 1950s to 80s who is also considered a drag king. Both Hibari are iconic though!!

Hi Justine 😊 thank you again for the answers, Know I know how the movie is called and I'm able to find it. I hope is on English, I haven't found it yet to watch it but I trust I will. I guess is a Great contestation to memoirs of a geisha to show them how to doo a good movie about it at least in the visuals and some shorts that is what I've seen so far.
about the serie, yes is that one I remember the name.
And about the movie of my third question. I found is called tsukigata Hanpeita from 1982 that looks is supposed to happend during Edo period as I se in the visuals, I just know of it for this video
https://youtu.be/YHHk_JJBMow
There is an scene when a Maiko is dancing and singing at the same time, would that be something that could happend back then or oiror WW2? I also read that the actress is called Hibari Misora, a popular singer and actress that as I also read, has singed some other popular karyukai songs, in the channels there are more videos or her singing
Have you seen that movie? there are some other productions about Maiko and geiko that you can recommend us ?
Thank you for letting us know Justine.
Best regards 😊
A maiko dancing and singing at the same time in an ozashiki is something only done in the movies as the karyukai just doesn't operate that way. However, during the finale of the Kyo Odori the maiko and geiko on stage for the Miyagawa Ondo are encouraged to sing along to the lyrics, so technically maiko can dance and sing at the same time (just not in an ozashiki). Unfortunately I have not seen that movie. As for ones that I have seen, I can't recommend Maiko Wa Lady enough! It's a charming movie that takes the premise of My Fair Lady and puts it into the world of geimaiko. The outfits used for the production were borrowed from the Daimonji okiya in Kamishichiken, so they're authentic and respectful to the source ^^
