Andi Schmied pretended to be a billionaire to infiltrate NYC’s most exclusive and expensive homes, which only cater to the unbelievably wealthy and privileged.

Touring homes up to $85 million, she wanted to see and photograph how the 1% of the 1% lives in one of the most iconic and expensive cities in the world.
To do so, she had to transform herself from an artist into a convincing billionaire almost overnight.
But while snapping 25 penthouses she discovered a world of high rise apartments sitting empty in a city facing a housing crisis.

Beware of Rogue Travel Agencies
In light of the latest article on Expo regarding fake housing agencies, we'd like to remind our attendees of some very important information regarding our housing procedures.
It has come to our attention that there are unauthorized "pirate"
housing companies that have contacted some of our exhibitors offering to
make their hotel reservations in Orlando for AIMExpo. Typically, these unscrupulous companies promise lower rates but then charge the entire stay and do not offer any refunds for cancellations or reduced stays. In some cases, show attendees have tried to check into their hotel only to find that there was no reservation made or there is still an outstanding balance. We do not want this to happen to you!
Please be aware that AIMExpo has contracted with EXPERIENT to manage all hotel reservations and registrations for all AIMExpo attendees. EXPERIENT is AIMExpo's one and only official housing management provider. Anyone other than EXPERIENT that offers you a "better" hotel rate or room upgrades is not affiliated with AIMExpo in any way. Please be vigilant if approached by any other company or service other than EXPERIENT that implies or claims to be an official housing provider of AIMExpo - they are NOT!
If you receive an e-mail or phone call from anyone other than EXPERIENT,
AIMExpo strongly recommends that you DO NOT make your hotel reservation with them. If you have already made hotel reservations through any company other than EXPERIENT and are concerned about your reservation, please call us and we will do everything that we can to assist you in making sure that your visit to AIMExpo is simple and problem-free. Booking with EXPERIENT ensures you save the most money and are protected against fake booking services and scams. The EXPERIENT team will provide you with the best value and experience available. AIMExpo is committed to providing you a successful show experience in every way, including your hotel accommodations. EXPERIENT will be here providing you with this same professional service for years to come.
Housing for AIMExpo is expected to open soon. We will notify you with the exact date that you can begin making your hotel reservations.
Should you have any questions at all, please contact Cinnamon Kernes,
Show Director, at (949) 517-7504 or email
[email protected].
