Weird thing about the official Russian Furby website that was once up (furbyrussia.ru) is that, the look of the website from back when the website was promoting Furby Boom in 2015, reminded me so much of a few unofficial Russian Furby websites I had seen which were selling Pixies and Furby Booms. I don’t know if the unofficial websites were trustworthy.
furby.990.kz, furby-pixy.ru, and furbi.ru were websites that were selling them, but two of them didn’t have their images archived, and another one was never archived. I didn’t think of archiving the websites back then.
Sometime in 2021, I was met with this page when I visited the website outside archive.org. Before the website was like this, Furby Connect was being promoted on the homepage, and the website had a separate page for Furby Boom. The webpage said the website’s setup wasn’t complete; it said that only the domain (furbyrussia.ru) had been registered, but the website owners needed to create the website and host it somewhere. Maybe the hosting plan had expired? I don’t know.
Tumblr media
This archive.org capture is from July, 2021.
I’m not sure how long the website stayed on this page for until it went back up. When I revisited the website at some point, this was how the homepage looked:
Tumblr media
This archive.org capture was from August, 2021.
No images or CSS present. Just the page’s text, and for some reason, the website was talking about Furby Boom instead of Furby Connect.
While furbi.ru and furby.990.kz look like this on the Wayback Machine, I saw the official Russian Furby website looking like this outside of the Wayback Machine. The website was looking like this in 2021 and 2022.
Tumblr media
If you try to visit furbyrussia.ru now, your browser will stop you and tell you that you’re visiting a deceptive website. I don’t know what’s happened to the domain, but if you choose to visit the website despite the warning, you will be redirected to Google’s homepage (not a phishing website). However, I don’t recommend doing this, incase the link takes you to a malicious website at some point.
Visiting a capture from late 2022 will cause archive.org to refresh itself continuously.
Sure, they’re no longer keeping it running and it’s been almost 10 years since the website was first captured on archive.org, but I just think this website’s behavior is weird.
Whoever is running Hasbro’s website decided to allow furby.com to redirect to a page at apps.hasbro.com, so I think the Russian website’s address should’ve been dropped completely or at least been used to redirect you to Hasbro’s Russian website.
A capture allowing you to visit the official Furby Boom and Furby 2012 Russian websites can be found here. I didn’t capture this website on archive.org, btw; other people did.

Learn How to Create a Free website totally for free & rank it top on Google. [analyticstools.net]
What is a free blogger website?
A free blogger website is a website that allows individual bloggers to post articles, blogs, and other content for free. This type of website is typically hosted by a third-party provider, such as Google or Blogger, and is typically available to anyone with a web browser.
What are the benefits of using a free blogger website?
There are many benefits to using a free blogger site. First, these sites are often updated more frequently than paid platforms, so you’re always up-to-date with the latest trends and news. Additionally, many free sites offer powerful features that paid platforms may not, such as the ability to add custom widgets to your site, organize your content into specific categories, and more. Finally, using a free site often means that you don’t have to pay any fees to use it, which can save you a lot of money in the long run.
What are the limitations of using a free blogger website?
As a blogger, you are likely using a free blogger website to create your blog content. However, there are a few limitations to using a free blogger website:
• You have to download or buy a template or theme for your free blog site.
• You will get subdomains to your blog site. (You can also use premium domains)
• You cannot monetize your blog. (Need Premium Domain)
• You cannot use ads. (Need Premium Domain)
• Your blog may not be as search engine friendly as a blog on a website that is paid for. (You have to do SEO manually)
What are the potential dangers of using a free blogger website?
When choosing a free blogger website to use, it’s important to be aware of the potential dangers associated with using one. Before getting started, be sure to read the website’s terms of service and privacy policy, as these can contain important information about how the website uses and shares your data.
Once you’re registered on the website, be sure to use a strong password and keep your login information secure. Free blogger websites may collect data about your visits, including the pages you’ve visited and the posts you’ve made. They may also sell your data to third-party marketing companies.
Be sure to read the terms of service and privacy policy carefully before submitting any personal information. If you have any questions or concerns about how your data is being used, be sure to contact the website’s administrator.
How can you choose the best free blogger website?
There are many great free blogger websites out there. Here are a few of the best:
1. Blogger.com is a popular free blogger website. It has a simple interface and is easy to use.
2. Wordpress.com is another popular free blogger website. It is more complicated to use than Blogger.com, but it is more powerful and has more features.
3. Plone.org is a free, open-source blogging platform. It is more complex to use than the other two options, but it has more features and is more customizable.
4. LiveJournal.com is a free blog platform that is no longer being developed. It is difficult to use and has limited features, but it is free and has a large following.
5. Weebly.com is a great platform for creating a website. It is easy to use and allows you to create a website in just a few minutes. You can also add custom pages and features to your website to make it unique.

Build your own eCommerce store with the Right Solution
It is impossible to comprehend how time-consuming and detailed the procedure is if you have never started an e-commerce store from scratch. When you look at any e-commerce website, you never give much thought to the fact that someone had to write the content and load each product individually. In addition, before the actual listing process even begins, you must negotiate with each manufacturer to be able to list their products online.
In addition to the amount of work required to construct the website, my experience working in a marketing agency made me aware of how discouraging it can be to have a functioning website and business model that you have put so much effort into, but not to generate organic traffic. As a result, while simultaneously building our website, we began our SEO strategy early, one year prior to the launch of our website. Since we already required this amount of time for growth, why not make the most of it and slay two birds with one stone?
1. Invest in a domain name
Before you decide to create your website to sell electronics online, you need to look for a domain name. This is pretty easy to understand. A domain name that perfectly identifies your brand is required. Avoid overthinking the procedure. You can get a domain name for less than $10.00 by purchasing it from a website like GoDaddy.
2. Look for a web developer
When you launch your website using an eCommerce solution, this is a very important part. When it comes to hiring a developer, be sure to conduct your due diligence if you want to launch your website quickly and professionally. Get recommendations from the developer's previous e-commerce websites. Request a timetable detailing the anticipated duration of the site's launch. They will be able to crop images in a way that matches your website if they have a background in graphic design. Make sure to inquire about the developer's previous work with the e-commerce platform you select (see step 4).
3. Obtain all necessary paperwork for a legitimate business
Get a vendor's license, register your business, and start researching legal business issues before you decide to sell electronics products. To get assistance setting up your business, you should get in touch with a local attorney. Despite the upfront cost, it will probably save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
4. Choose a platform for hosting websites and e-commerce
Choose a well-known e-commerce platform to save time and money. Because most developers are familiar with these, integrating plugins, payment processing, and other features is simple. Make sure the platform comes with a pre-made custom catalog software.
5. Choose a theme that complements your e-commerce strategy
You can save even more time by purchasing a theme from ThemeForest to find a layout that resembles your desired ecommerce look and feel. Over 28,000 website templates and themes start at $2 on ThemeForest. They are the best place to buy templates for websites.
Don't try something new. Download a template from ThemeForest or a site that is similar to it instead of starting from scratch to build eCommerce store.. We discovered through experience that the customization procedure can be extremely time-consuming and discouraging. Therefore, picking a theme that appeals to you will probably save you a lot of time and effort.

Why a Website Is Necessary for Your Vape Shop
Tumblr media
Is the number of clients coming into your vape shop already at the maximum that it can accommodate? Your vape shop requires a website unless you can truthfully state that you don't want or need any additional clients. Having a website is one of the strategies to market a company that requires the least amount of financial investment. Customers have the opportunity to gather additional information about your vape business before physically coming in. It makes it easier to gather information about customers, which enables you to reconnect with folks who haven't been to your site in some time. The best part is that maintaining a website only costs approximately $60 yearly. Are you still unsure about whether or not a website is necessary for your vape shop? Please allow us to elaborate. Find out more about the vaping SEO service we offer if you require assistance.
Creating a Website Is a Simple Process
It's possible that opening a website for a vape business could appear to be a difficult task to someone who isn't very interested in technology. In point of fact, though, all you need are these three things:
A domain. eCigOne.com is our domain, for example.
A web hosting provider. The hosting business is the owner of the servers that store the data associated with your website and make it accessible to those who have requested to view it. A2 Hosting has provided us with exceptional service, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The first month's payment for A2Hosting is only $3.92. You will also have the ability to register the domain for your vape shop while you are there.
A content management system. Your content management system (CMS) stores the template that serves as the basis for your website's appearance. It arranges all of your pages, blog posts, photos, and other information in an organised fashion. Additionally, it offers the user interface that enables the addition of new content. WordPress is what we use. WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS) that is not only incredibly effective but also widely used, as well as regularly updated. Because WordPress has a completely graphical user interface, using it does not require any prior knowledge of computer programming. Even installation on your server is taken care of by A2Hosting when you purchase their services. You will be able to use WordPress if you are familiar with Microsoft Word or any other word processor.
You can actually have a website that is fully functional in approximately thirty minutes or less, at the most. Just add material!
Make it possible for people to look through your collection.
It is quite possible that you used electronic cigarettes in the past before you ever entertained the idea of operating a vape shop. It's possible that you purchased your first electronic cigarette by simply stepping into a vape store, inquiring about the product, and making your purchase. However, once you have some expertise under your belt, you will discover how many various electronic cigarettes, e-liquids, tanks, and other goods linked to vaping are available on the market. There are already thousands of different brands and models of electronic cigarettes available on the market.
Reading on the Subject:
If you already have an idea of the things that pique your interest, wouldn't it be helpful to have a sense of what a vape shop sells before you get there? That is exactly one of the benefits that can be provided to your clientele when you have a website. Your website is always there to tell potential consumers why they should make the effort to come into your vape store, and it is always ready to do so.
Manage the Reputation of Your Vape Shop on the Internet.
Do you ever wish you could stop individuals from posting negative reviews about your vape store on the internet? You may, however, exert some degree of influence on what people see by taking control of as many of Google's search results as you possibly can. This, however, is not possible. It is a good idea to claim or establish listings for your vape shop on all of the major business directories on the internet. In addition to that, you need to establish social media profiles for your vape shop. If you don't also establish a website for your vape business, though, you won't be able to enjoy the full benefits of this strategy. You may use any and all of your listings and profiles to create links to your website, and your vape shop's website is the only location online where you have complete control over what customers read about your company.
Now, let's say that somebody writes something unfavourable about your vape business on a forum or a blog. What should you do? You do, however, have a website, in addition to several entries in company directories and profiles on various social media platforms. When someone searches for your vape store on Google, the bad remark really appears on the second page of Google's results because you own so many of the search results that display on the first page of Google's results. According to the findings of recent research, the vast majority of people who look up your vape store online will never come across the critical review.
Boost the Search Engine Optimization of Your Vape Shop.
According to SocialTimes, before making a purchase, eighty-one percent of shoppers conduct research about the goods online. Even if the website for your vape store is not yet up and running, there is still a chance that clients will locate you through the use of a business directory such as Yelp. When a potential client sees the profile of your vape business on Yelp, however, he or she is not hearing the tale from you directly. Instead, the reviews that were provided by past customers provide the basis for your story. Would it not be more convenient for you to tell the narrative to your consumers yourself?
If your vape shop is so new that it does not yet have a listing on Yelp, then it is possible that it will not display at all on the sites that contain Google's search results. Creating a website is a great initial step to take in the process of garnering attention on the internet.
Wouldn't you like it if people could find your vape business here? Creating a website is the initial stage in the process.
Create an Image That Is Professional For Your Vape Shop
You absolutely require a website in order to provide the impression to your prospective clients that you run a legitimate company. It's what your customers have come to expect from you. People may be more likely to utilise business directories like Yelp and Google Maps to identify local businesses, but if they want additional information about a company, they will still go to that company's website directly. People will understand that you take recruiting clients seriously if you have a website, and it will also provide them with a means by which they can conduct additional research before going to your store.
Have you ever given any thought to obtaining a small business loan from either the bank in your community or from an online lender such as Kabbage? The lending institution is going to want to look at the website of your company. In addition to this, they are going to require an email address that concludes with "mydomain.com" rather than "gmail.com." You really need a website if you want to give the impression that you are an experienced professional.
Inform and instruct your customers as much as possible.
If you run a vape store, you know more than the majority of your customers about how to select the appropriate electronic cigarette, set it up, and use it safely to avoid an electronic cigarette explosion. This is because you are the one who is in charge of educating your consumers. Before a customer even steps foot inside your establishment, you may inform them about your business and provide answers to frequently asked concerns by using a website. When clients do visit you after reading your articles online, you won't need to spend as much time explaining things to them because they will already be familiar with the subject matter. You may instead focus more of your time on making sales.
In addition, having a website enables you to compile a mailing list, which enables you to keep your clients abreast of any upcoming deals or product launches.
Establish a Platform for Successful Online Sales
It's possible that you don't have any intentions to offer products online right now, but that may easily change if business at your vape shop continues to improve and you start looking at options for expansion. If you get started on your website right away, you can instantly begin to improve your search engine rankings and attract links to your site from other websites. When you first start offering your products for sale on the internet, your website will already have a certain amount of authority on Google. If you put off creating a website until you are completely ready to trade goods over the internet, you will have to wait a great deal longer before you can start making sales. Shopify is a straightforward platform for online shopping carts that interacts seamlessly with WordPress.
Promote Your Vape Shop Without Breaking the Bank
Web hosting can be obtained for less than fifty dollars per year, and the annual cost of a domain name is approximately ten dollars. To having a website for your vape store will only set you back a grand total of about sixty dollars every year. You may promote your vape store, show off your product range, and respond to queries from consumers around the clock and seven days a week using a website that is at your disposal. I was wondering if you could think of a technique to promote your company that would cost less money. Because the cost of maintaining a website is so minimal, there is really no need to go without one in this day and age.
If you're looking for a new vape device, or just some replacement coils, then a vape shop is the place to go. The prices are usually very competitive and many shops offer loyalty programs and discounts as well. If you're new to vaping, a vape shop such as MyVapesShop can be a great resource for information and advice. So whether you're an experienced vaper or just starting, be sure to check out your local vape shop!

Tips for Using WordPress to Create an Online Store
Tumblr media
WordPress is a free, adaptable, and feature-rich platform that is used to build 43% of all websites on the Internet. It is perfect for building reputable online storefronts. You may build a one-of-a-kind site that perfectly represents your business with thousands of themes and tens of thousands of plugins for further functionality.
In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the process of creating an online store using WordPress, which is also incredibly simple to use.
1 - Obtain the ideal hosting
The search for a web host is the first step in creating a WordPress store. For a website to be accessible online, it needs to be hosted on a web server. To install WordPress and create your website, you'll need the storage space your web host offers.
Ideally, you need a WordPress Hosting package that is especially made to make WordPress websites run faster and more consistently. It should also include a number of helpful tools, like a WordPress Toolkit, to help you manage your website more quickly and easily many business listings.
2 - Decide on a domain name
Website names, such as manybusinesslistings.com, are referred to in the industry as "domain names." You will require a domain name when you set up your store so that customers can locate it online and visit. In order to maintain your rights to use a domain name, a registration must be obtained and then renewed every year or two. From your web host, you can get a domain name.
To ensure that no one else has already registered the domain name you desire, it is crucial to pick the ideal domain for your brand.
3 - Activate WordPress
The exciting phase of building your website may begin once you have your hosting and domain name set up. The WordPress software needs to be installed on your server as a first step. This may be accomplished with just one click and in less than a minute if you have already purchased WordPress hosting.
The software may need to be installed through your control panel if you don't have WordPress Hosting, or you may even need to download it from the WordPress.org website and upload it to your server business listings.
You ought to have the ability to connect the website to your domain during the installation procedure in order for it to go online.
4 - Configure the ecommerce plugin
Installing an ecommerce plugin will give your WordPress website all the advantages of an online store. The most well-known and competent of these is Woo Commerce, which is free like WordPress. Simply enter Woo Commerce in the search field in the website admin panel's plugins > Add New section to install Woo Commerce. Simply click "Install" when the plugin appears, and then click "Activate" to make it active.
One of Woo Commerce’s biggest features is its built-in setup wizard, which greatly simplifies the process of setting up your store, especially if you've never used the plugin before.
5 - For your store, choose a theme
The layout, colour scheme, and fonts of your website are managed by a piece of software called a theme or template. You may choose from thousands of free themes, and WordPress's new block editor gives you complete control over the appearance of your website.
However, there are two characteristics that your theme must contain. It must, first and foremost, work with Woo Commerce in order for the products in your store to be properly displayed, and it must also be a responsive theme. If you want your store to function on mobile devices, you must use responsive themes, which alter the style of your website to work on various devices free business listings.
Go to your admin panel and select Appearance > Themes > Add New to find a theme. Before activating the one that best suits your needs, you will be able to preview how the themes will appear.
6 - Set up your website
Your website can be built from scratch once your theme is installed. You may now build the pages and sections you want, add information for your clients, and set up menus to help visitors locate what they're looking for. Websites that sell goods online should have the following pages: the home page, about us, contacts us, returns policy, shipping information, terms and conditions, and privacy policy.
7 - Stock up more items in your shop
After setting up your main pages, you can begin adding products to your store. This is accomplished using Woo Commerce. The amount of information you include for each product will influence how long the process takes, although it is often not challenging. The kind of data that can be provided includes details like the item's name, price, stock keeping unit number, brief and detailed descriptions, specifications, shipping information, and product images (SKU).
8 - Include a payment gateway
A payment gateway, a service that manages online transactions between you, your customer, and your respective bank accounts, is required before you can sell online. This is a crucial component of any online store because without it, you won't be able to set up your checkout. Numerous companies offer their services, including well-known ones like PayPal and World Pay. You must register with a gateway provider and then integrate their service using Woo Commerce’s payment options. There is a transaction fee for these services.
9 - The need for security
Last but not least, you must ensure that your website is secure before launching it. The first thing you'll need is an SSL certificate because your website will be used to accept payments. Webhosting UK offers free Let's Encrypt SSL installations, or you can choose an SSL certificate with a higher trust level. These will encrypt any payment information that your clients transmit, protecting their financial information from theft. The secure padlock icon will be displayed on browsers next to your website if it has an SSL certificate. Without it, many clients won't want to do business with you.
Make sure your web hosting service also includes advanced security measures, such as free daily backups, round-the-clock technical assistance, and cutting-edge anti-hacking and anti-malware tools.
Millions of prosperous online stores have been built using WordPress and Woo Commerce in combination all around the world. Even if creating and setting up an online store takes time, employing WordPress Hosting will help you go along more quickly and prevent technical snags. The information provided here should help you understand the proper actions to take in order to set up your store's internet presence.

Understanding Free Web Hosting Options in India
Web hosting is an essential service for anyone looking to host a website on the internet. Whether you are a small business owner, a blogger, or a professional looking to establish an online presence, finding the right web hosting service is crucial. In India, there are various hosting options available, ranging from free web hosting to premium web hosting. In this article, we will explore free web hosting options and how they compare to other hosting solutions like cheap hosting in India, shared hosting, and premium web hosting.
Free Web Hosting
Free web hosting services are attractive to beginners and those on a tight budget. These services provide basic hosting features at no cost, making them an excellent choice for personal blogs, small projects, or testing purposes. However, free web hosting often comes with limitations such as limited storage, bandwidth, and fewer features. For instance, free web hosting providers may display ads on your website to cover their costs.
CloudNest offers a free hosting plan that provides essential features without any cost. This plan is suitable for those who want to test the waters before committing to a paid hosting plan.
Cheap Hosting in India
For those looking for affordable options without the limitations of free hosting, cheap hosting in India is a viable alternative. These hosting plans are budget-friendly and offer more features and resources than free hosting. Cheap hosting is ideal for small businesses, startups, and individuals who need a reliable hosting solution without spending a fortune.
CloudNest’s shared hosting plans are an excellent example of cheap hosting in India. They offer ample storage, bandwidth, and easy-to-use control panels, making it easy to manage your website.
Shared Hosting
Shared hosting is one of the most popular hosting solutions, especially for beginners and small to medium-sized websites. In shared hosting, multiple websites share the resources of a single server. This makes it cost-effective, as the cost of server maintenance is distributed among multiple users. Shared hosting plans usually come with easy-to-use control panels, one-click installations, and sufficient storage and bandwidth.
CloudNest’s shared hosting plans provide all these features and more, making it a top choice for those looking to host a website on the internet.
Premium Web Hosting
For businesses and websites with high traffic, premium web hosting is the best option. Premium hosting plans offer dedicated resources, enhanced performance, and advanced security features. These plans ensure that your website remains fast, secure, and reliable, even during peak traffic times.
CloudNest’s premium hosting plans are designed to meet the needs of high-traffic websites and businesses that require top-notch performance and security.
Domain Registration Service
In addition to hosting, having a unique and memorable domain name is crucial for your website’s success. A domain registration service allows you to search for and register your desired domain name. CloudNest offers a comprehensive domain registration service that includes a wide range of domain extensions and easy setup options.
Conclusion
Whether you are looking for free web hosting, cheap hosting in India, shared hosting, or premium web hosting, CloudNest offers a range of hosting solutions to meet your needs. You can use this strategy to share your faith online and at the same time make a passive income. Then, if you are looking for a step-by-step guide on how to start a Christian website and make money, you are in the right place.

Starting a website is the same way as beginning a business. Therefore, you have to treat it as one or even a ministry.
Unlike a physical business, a website doesn’t require any capital in place, however, you will need a few requirements to start a successful Christian website. We will discuss these requirements and the necessary steps to take to begin a website.
How to start a Christian website: A step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Have a plan for starting a website.
Just like any other venture in life, a plan helps you stay focused as you have a clear goal. To succeed you have to treat your website as a business and allocate the necessary recourse such as time and expertise.
If you are planning to begin a ministry website, have a clear plan of what content you intend to publish on your website. Your website is a brand and you want to be known for a specific area. You can check out websites like desiringgod.org and joshuamwangangi.com to draw some inspiration.
Step 2: Buy a domain name for your website
Now that you have a clear plan and strategy, you should consider registering a domain name for your website. A domain name is a URL/ link that you type on google when you are searching for a specific site, e.g. joshwp.com.
Make sure to choose a domain name that relates to your niche- the type of content you will be publishing on your site.
I recommend Namecheap domain registrar as they have the best prices and a standard DNS manager. Dynadot is also another good domain registrar to consider, as they offer fixed prices, so you don’t need to worry about expensive renewal costs.
You can check out the full list of the best domain providers here to help you make the best decision based on your website’s needs. Before registering a domain name check if your web hosting company offers a free domain name.
Try Namecheap Today
It is wise to register a .com domain as it is what most people search for online. There are other domain extensions such as .net, .org for organizations, .io, .news, .health, and much more.
Every time you hear of an online business name- domain name, what comes to your mind? It’s a .com, as that is what most consumers are accustomed to, e.g. Most big companies have this domain extension, google.com, amazon.com, and much more.
Step 3: Choose a good web hosting provider
Now that you have chosen a good domain name, it is time to get web hosting for your website. A web hosting provider is simply a company that holds your site’s files on its servers at a fee, as it will be very expensive to run your own server locally.
Hosting your website on one of these platforms helps you to reduce the cost of running your online business, as you don’t need to worry about server maintenance and update, and other technical issues.
For beginners, I recommend Bluehost as the cheapest option as it comes with a free domain name, while Liquid Web is the fastest and most fully managed option.
You can check the full list of my recommended best WordPress hosting providers here. And if you are looking for fully managed WordPress hosting then, read this article on the best-managed WordPress hosting providers here.
Try Bluehost Today
Like any other service, there are things to consider when choosing a hosting provider. This includes the entry and renewal prices, security, Server performance, Free CDN- content delivery network, Storage and bandwidth, refund policy, customer services, Backup, uptime, and free domain name.
Step 4: Create a business email address that matches your domain name
You will surely want to send newsletters to your audience on various updates. A good business address will enable you to achieve this objective.
Trust me, you don’t want to use your personal email address for this, as it can limit you and even be penalized and sent to your user’s spam folder.
The difference between a business email address and a personal email is that, unlike your normal Gmail email, a business email uses your own domain and not Gmail’s subdomain. i.e. [email protected][email protected][email protected][email protected], unlike the Gmail email which ends with @gmail.com. You can put whatever you desire before @yourdomain.com.
Step 5: Choose the CMS content management system to use
Despite there being several CMS- content management systems- WordPress leads with a market share of 43% of all websites on the internet.
Other CMS include Magento, Wix, Joomla, Drupal, Squarespace, HubSpot, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Shopify, Ghost, Textpattern, Blogger, TYPO3, Bitrix24, and PrestaShop.
WordPress is the best CMS and easiest to set up. It has great community support and there are thousands of plugins and ready-build themes to extend its functionality.
You don’t need any technical skills to run a website on WordPress, as there are themes with ready-to-use templates to start your site. A good example is the Kadence theme, Elementor theme, and much more.
With WordPress CMS, you can build anything including a simple website, an online forum, a marketplace like Fiverr, a membership site, an eCommerce store, and much more.
Step 6: Choose a suitable lightweight theme
A theme is simply a folder/ group of files that determine your website’s appearance and help you to design your site as you desire.
Depending on their functionalities, themes are classified as either lightweight- meaning they do not interfere with your site’s overall performance or heavy themes- meaning if they are not well configured they might add extra bloat to your website, hence affecting its performance.
A good example of a lightweight theme is GeneratePress, followed by Kadence, Astra, Blocksy, Neve, Zakra, Sydney, and OceanWP.
You should choose a theme that comes with most functionalities out of the box, as you do not want to end up adding many plugins for that purpose. This will make your site faster and neater.
I like Kadence as it meets that criterion. The theme comes with its theme builder and supports most basic functionality straight out of the box.
For example, the Kadence theme builder comes with an in-built table of content, a full library of free starter templates, predesigned sections, and much more. Their premium add-on adds a ton of extra professional functionalities.
Try Kadence Pro today
Step 7: Choose a page builder
Every theme comes with a theme builder, or you can choose a theme builder of your choice as long as it is compatible with the theme you are using. For example, GeneratePress comes with GeneratePress page builder, Kadence theme with Kadence page builder, and Elementor Hello theme comes with Elementor page builder.
Other popular page builders include beaver, nimble builder, WPBakery, Visual composer, Themify builder, Divi builder, SiteOrigin, brizy, WP page builder, Oxygen, Genesis pro, Gutenberg, and much more.
Step 8: Install the necessary plugins
Plugins are like mobile apps within the website. They are used to extend the theme’s functionalities, such as adding a table of content, adding social share icons, backup purposes, for security enhancement, image compression, and optimization, caching, payment integration, WooCommerce extensions, and much more.
Every website has its unique needs; hence only choose the plugins you need. Most plugins add extra bloat interfering with your site’s overall performance. You want to be wise about which plugins to choose. If possible, go for a theme that gives you most of these functionalities out of the box.
If you are considering starting an online course website, I recommend using LearnDash as it comes with premade templates and additional functionalities for a course website.
Try LearnDash
Step 9: Design your website
Now that you have everything you need and have a clue of what to do, it is time for the actual work. Login to your WordPress website, and install the right theme and page builder. As I said earlier most themes come with a few ready-made templates to help you to set up a professional website with ease.
Choose from the template library a design that suits you, and click apply. Now you can change the template’s content to fit what you need. You can check out the step-by-step guide on how to create a WordPress website using the Kadence theme and Kadence page builder.
You can also choose different templates for different pages of your website, and edit the content to suit your site’s needs. Create a menu, header, and footer section.

Step 10: Add your website content
Now that you have created a professional-looking website, it is time to add content. If you are intending to use your website for blogging, consider adding a few articles to start with. At this stage, you can also add any other page content.
Make sure you have added content to your home page, have an about us page, a service page, a contact page, a privacy policy, and any other page you deem fit for your site. If it is a church or charity website, you can also add a donation page.
Step 11: Publish your website
The final step of creating your website is launching it officially. You can now confidently publish your website, meaning it will be live and visible online. You can now access your site using your domain name, and share the link with friends. Consider creating and publishing content for your website regularly to increase its visibility on search engines.
You can now read my step-by-step guide on what to do after publishing your website here.
Which type of website is profitable?
Any website can be profitable; you only need a good strategy to outdo others in your niche. You can achieve this by doing original research, and creating quality and detailed content that adds value to the readers. You don’t just want to create another copy of existing content. However, you can look at existing content to spot a gap and then do original research on the topic and produce a better-detailed copy on the same subject.
Can I start a Christian website for free?
Yes, you can. Some hosting companies offer you a free trial for a while for you to test their services. For example, WP Engine gives you a 4-month free, while IONOS, Liquid Web, and Flywheel offer 14 days of free trial. Bluehost has a 30-day refund policy meaning if you are not satisfied with the service they will refund your money back.
Other companies offer free VPS- virtual private server- trials for up to 2 months. They give you a $100 free credit to try their platforms. These hosting providers include Vultr, Cloudways, and Digital Ocean. You can try any of these today free of charge.
Google Cloud, Amazon Web Service, and Oracle Cloud offer free tiers that you can take advantage of. The only downside with these platforms is that you must have good skills to run the servers through root access. However, as long as you do not exceed the limit of allocated resources, you will never pay a coin.
