Does anyone feel like Glitch Productions is becoming more of a corporate entity?
You will hear me say that and say: "WOAAAAAAH! Are you sure you should be saying that online?" Well, let me answers that question with several questions.
Where are most of Glitch's merch/trailer videos?
Why was GlitchX 2024 so different from GlitchX 2023?
Why is the Glitch Inn a thing?
As well as other questions and pieces of media that I want to address in this post. Buckle up for this post, because this will be a hard pill to swallow.
Let me take you through the Glitch timeline and show you what I mean.
First, we actually go back before Glitch Productions, not SMG4, we are going back to a channel that you either never heard of or rings a very familiar bell. Hobo Bros. This channel was a fun place where Luke and Kevin, the two mains behind SMG4 and Glitch Productions, would mess around. Playing games, watching memes and whatever else came on this channel. Giving off the strong energy that it's two brothers messing around and loving what they do.
But one fateful day, that would end. On December 31st, 2020, they would make a video called: "Goodbye for now" where they would do one last video playing Smash 64 before leaving the channel abandoned.

Remember this, because it will come back later.
Now we move to Glitch Productions. Digital Circus releases and the channel gains a lot of traction. Lots of merch sales meaning more funds for their shows and their goal on spreading Indie animations is starting to succeed. They even did a livestream in November called GlitchX which would show more of that fun personality Glitch is known for. They show some of their behind the scenes work on their Twitter and everything seems in order.
That is... until June 7th, 2024. Where they did something... interesting. They made a video announcing their newest creation: The Glitch Inn. A monthly subscription service giving you access to a Discord server where you can meet with fans, get behind the scenes peeks and even have a chance to talk with the shows creators.
Now... hold on a second, that second thing I mentioned. "Get behind the scenes peeks." We had that on their Twitter feed for a good amount of time before this, what about that? Well... after the Glitch Inn appeared, behind the scenes content would not appear on Glitch's Twitter anymore.
That's... odd. But shows and merch purchases were still available to all so it didn't seem like the biggest alarm. But to me, this was the beginning on the corporate feeling coming into play. It just wouldn't be noticed until the next few things came into play.
On November 1st, 2024. Glitch would release GlitchX 2024 but it was completely different. Instead of it being a fun livestream with several interviews and fun events being show creators and VAs, now... it was styled like a Nintendo Direct. There was a VA event and Interview with Olan Rodgers but the life that GlitchX had felt like it was sucked out almost completely.
Even to this day I still think GlitchX 2023 is MILES better than GlitchX 2024, but regardless, the event happened and everyone moved on. Still, once again, things felt like they had shifted...
Then we arrive in 2025, somewhere in January or February. Gaslight District is getting closer to release- wait a moment. WHERE IS EVERYTHING? THE GLITCH MERCH VIDEOS, THE TRAILERS ETC. THEY'RE-... THEY'RE GONE???
Yup. If you go onto Glitch's channel right now, where's the Murder Drones trailers? Where's the Murder Drones merch videos? Where's the Digital Circus Episodes 2, 3 and 4 trailers? Where's the Digital Circus Episode 3 and 4 merch videos?
One. Simple. Answer. All of those videos are unlisted. How do I know this? Well recently, when my mind got curious about Glitch Productions again, I searched online about the Glitch merch videos and found a reddit link containing most of those merch videos, trailer videos etc. that have now been unlisted.

This post didn't have every video though, so I used the Wayback Machine to try and find the merch video for Episode 4 of Digital Circus and managed to find it. Here's the link to that video btw:

But this is what REALLY alarmed me. Glitch now has a monthly subscription service, a yearly Nintendo Direct style-like event and have removed most of their merch videos. (which I think many people can agree, were great advertisements to show off their merch) Now Glitch has been making these shorts with their mascots to announce whatever is going on but it doesn't feel the same like it used to.
Glitch has also been busy spreading Indie animation even further via Netflix for Digital Circus and now Prime Video for Murder Drones, but Netflix only lets them stream on there since that is the deal agreed to and Prime Video's deal is only recent and are helping fund Glitch Productions now. Neither of these deals have had a significant negative impact (outside of Amazon strikes on Murder Drones videos but I hear that Glitch is working on that) overall which is why I haven't mentioned them in this post.
But because of all these changes and things, Glitch Productions feels more corporate. A great amount of life has been sucked out and this effect doesn't feel limited to Glitch Productions.
Remember when I mentioned Hobo Bros and told you to remember that for later? Well, on SMG4, they made those meme reaction videos but with Mario. Which feels like it was supposed to be a direct replacement to Hobo Bros. Which paints a lot more of a negative light on that final video they posted on Hobo Bros. "Goodbye for now" now feels a lot more like "Goodbye forever".
While on the topic of SMG4, the channel itself has also transitioned from being a mix of GMOD and SM64 funny moments to being mostly animated episodes and having a lot of story arcs. Dare I say it, SMG4 feels like a practicing ground for the team while Glitch Productions is the main deal. The many animated episodes and story arcs help learn the team and develop their skills which they can use for Glitch Productions.
This makes SMG4 look more like this weird hybrid channel rather than a SM64 funny moments channel like how it used to be in the past. Now it has SM64 funny moments, Hobo Bros and Glitch Productions practicing grounds all mixed into one channel.
And that leads us to now. May 31st, 2025 (or a later date depending on when you find this post)
So, after reading this entire post and taking a look at everything for yourself, I wanted to ask the question I posed in the title again.
Do you feel like Glitch Productions is becoming more of a corporate entity?
In my opinion, yes. Glitch Productions feels more like a corporate entity now. The life it had feels like it has been sucked out and they feel very different compared to 1.5 years ago.

Note: The act of killing should not be associated directly with his disorders!! The bipolar disorder and the dissociative identity disorder are actually mostly dangerous for the person who suffers from it and not others! I tried to get as close to reality as possible but obviously to suit the story of my character there are changes such as the intensity of certain symptoms and the etiology of the disorders. And in the case of psychopatic personality, not all them are killers either BUT the risk is much more present due to the lack of empathy and awareness.

Undertale: Black Soul Timeline - Summary :
The Black Soul Timeline is an alternate timeline of the original Undertale universe (not an AU). There two of them: one is the good ending and the other is the bad ending.
In both timelines, after Chara's death, her soul of determination was filled with hatred as she saw innocent children being killed. She thought the Monsters were different but she was wrong... Since then she wants to avenge them. 
One day, a human named Frisk arrived, she possessed a powerful soul of dt similar to her own and was able to see her. Chara observed her during all her journeys. Frisk used her reset power to try save Asriel. At the 53rd reset, Chara offered to lend her her body so she could help save him. Frisk accepted but Chara lied to her, she didn't want to save Asriel but took advantage of her soul of dt to make the Monsters suffer. She couldn't do anything to stop her... During this same reset, the fun value was 66. At each start of reset before Frisk arrived, Sans worked on his father's latest creation, a machine which had the function of creating portals to different timelines or universes. For the first time he had managed to open a portal that led to the Void, that's how Gaster was able to warn him that Chara had taken possession of Frisk. Unfortunately for him he couldn't get able out the Void because it wasn't the "right" portal. So that Gaster could stay in contact with Sans, he gave him a fragment of his soul. It's thanks to this fragment that he will remember at each new reset what happened previously. Sans tried to find a solution to protect his brother and bring Frisk back with the help of Gaster but he didn't succeed. He gave up many times... it's his father who push him to persevere. 
It is only at reset 159 that he will be able to stop Chara, but at what cost?...
