Whats no home abt? Im considering checking it out based on the post abt thinking u deserve abuse and not changing. But Im just very picky when it comes to what media I like lol. I'm a orv-head if that has any bearings on ur recommendation

i’m not too great at wording my thoughts eloquently but i’ll try my best !! tho i’ll have to be a bit vague to avoid spoilers bc i do think this comic’s best read without knowing much

before i start it’s got big TWs for: light violence, physical&verbal child abuse, parent death+grief (those are the main ones but tell me if i missed anything important)

No Home starts out very comical at first but as you can see above it gets . Less So the farther you read.. but don’t get me wrong while it does get pretty intense it never loses its charm and humor ! it used to be tagged in the comedy genre for a reason iirc

onto what it’s actually about ! after a terrible first meeting for the two main characters, haejoon goh and eunyung baek, neither are able to live in proper dorms. because of that they’re forced to endure both Eachother and the ramshackle house near their school that they have to stay in for the time being

there’s a lot more to it but i swear those two really scratch a certain itch in my brain for narrative foils who just Will Not get along ….. seriously it’s always 2 steps forward 15 steps back with these two and it’s extremely fascinating to pick apart their dynamic ..

this story focuses a lot on family and what it means to have a home but it gets incredibly heavy with abusive households and its effects on these characters … . it’s crazy to me how the writing handles each conflict with so much nuance and care o(~<​

there are 4 other characters that make up the main cast that i absolutely adore i could go on about how well written every character is but this post would get way too long if i did
