Reading Stranger Things fics and just thinking 'Not one of you has mentioned THAC0 once, what even is this?'
#I get people are using 5e rules because that's what people know#But as someone who used to play from the Rules Cyclopedia#every time I read 'advantage' it's really jarring for me#I actually got my Rules Cyclopedia down the other day and hugged it#Just because#Yes I'm weird#Not going to put this in the 'official' tags#because honestly it's not a problem and no one needs to learn AD&D for the purposes of ficcing#Yes I have a Rules Cyclopedia#Yes Elf is a class in it#Yes it has the rules where you gain XP from treasure#Yes I love that book#I don't even really remember the old rules it's been so long since I played them#But I still love that book
