#Marvel#Marvel comics#Marvel 616#latest release#Moon Knight vol. 9#Moon Knight 2021#Moon Knight comics#Moon Knight#Marc Spector#Steven Grant#Mr. Knight#first off…Steven’s looking GREAT#in other news this issue is an absolute GOLDMINE of references to previous runs and I’m living for it#here alone we have references to Marc’s struggle with Khonshu in the Lemire run#and then the villains he faced during the Bemis run (who we’ll get back to heheheh)#I also appreciate the almost meta look at Moon Knight’s reputation#there’s the in-universe discussion of how most heroes kind of look at Moon Knight askance and how he’s never long for team membership#and then there’s Moon Knight’s reputation in the comic book community as a whole where for a long time he was described as#“that one hero with DID” if people didn’t just settle for “oh yeah that one lunatic”#but yeah this issue makes it very clear what the current creative team thinks of THAT and I can’t wait to talk about it
