odysseus' character drew me in SO FAST, I couldn't believe the insane fucked up journey he went on, I kept being shocked over and over (I knew nothing about the original story of the odyssey before this lmao) and I know this version is altered but like... holy CRAP the development odysseus goes through is like another level, such an intriguing character and a tragic story and THE MUSIC??? I thought I was ready but I was NOT ready jfdghldjfhg

as for my favorite saga, I really think it's gotta be the cyclops saga!! when I was listening through the first time, I tried putting it on while working on something else, got through the first saga with only... relative distraction lmao, but as soon as they met polythemus and that VOICE and that BASS came in? dude. I was SO NOT READY. and what happens in that saga is so overwhelmingly tragic (polites 😭😭), and all the screams are so raw and visceral and terrifying!! "WATCH OUT!!" "he's gOT A CLUB!!" "captain?? CAPTA-!!" I literally couldn't believe what I was listening to!! from that point forward, I paid exclusive attention to following the story and reading youtube comments that helped bring more context (and more tragedy) into the experience. close second is probably the thunder saga, because it's so sad to see that relationship crumble so completely and it's so fucked up what ends up happening... and zeus' voice?? goddamn.

tbh I don't know what my definitive favorite song is, but as I already mentioned, the three songs where they're up against polythemus really fucking blew me away. the deep, guttural sound to them really itches a specific part of my brain lmao. after that, stand-outs for me are "ruthlessness", "thunder bringer", "get in the water", and "six hundred strike", with an honorable mention to "no longer you". steven rodriguez as poseidon and luke holt as zeus are simply *chef's kiss* and I could listen to their voices all day.

jorge rivera-herrans as odysseus though. man. what an absolutely gorgeous and complex and tragic performance. his voice is so smooth but the scenes where he loses his cool and goes pretty much feral are SO GOOD.

overall, what an otherworldly experience. sorry this response wasn't very eloquent lmao I was just typing on brainflow, I hope I managed to explain my thoughts at least decently. AND ANYONE WHO HASN'T LISTENED SHOULD GO DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR RIGHT NOW SERIOUSLY
