Sometimes the darkness and I wonder how heavy something would have to be to break a time loop.

Giant lights shine above us. They probably weigh a lot.

The darkness says "See the wires past the lights? With the big heavy human carrier hanging from them?"

I see the wires and the human carrier. With no humans in it, of course. I think maybe I am the only human anywhere now.

The darkness says "Time loops are like the wire. They carry humans up and down and around, forever and ever, until finally one day there are too many humans in the human carrier and the wire can't hold the weight. The wire snaps."

I ask, "What happens to the humans when the wire snaps?"

The darkness answers with its own question. "What happened to you?"

Why isn't there more sci-fi and fantasy media where other humanoid races find humans repulsive? Maybe aliens would be freaked out that you can see our BLOOD under our extremely thin, semi transparent skin in the form of blushing, veins, bruising, etc., especially in people without much melanin. Maybe to dwarves we'd look like elongated babies.
