I wrote down some notes ab Up Here (most are very dumb but anyway):

* Miguel and Cisco both have shit brothers fr. (And they both play instruments)

* SHES FKN PREGNANT?!?

* Mr mcgooch(ellervadfackhannuheter) is a creep in my opinion (aka I think he’s to old for Lindsay)

* In ep 4 it’s hinted that Lindsay is living in someone elses apartment. When she answers the phone they’re asking for a random dude

* I wish we got to meet the dad “irl”

* Why is Scott who plays orson listed as a guest star? He’s in every episode😭

* I kin “please like me” a little too much

* I hated Linds bc I’m exactly like her

* Someone give mig a hug

* Him calling every hour to make sure she’s okay (my standards are so high after this show)

* The fact that migs character in the novel was the one the reader was interested in bc linds was interested in (does this sentence even make sense)

* I feel like I’ve always known you>> (woods)

* The fact that Lindsay remember that mig is scared of the woods and ran in there looking for him

* I don’t support Linds in ep3 (tho I do in the ending)

* The rat scene was so perfectly written and acted

* “Is this glue or gum..?” “No that is cum”

* I kin “the truth is” too much too

* “I guess you could say I come here often”

* I wish I had migs view on love, I also want to be that optimistic

* I wish the “red door” was the door he saw his dead mom behind or sum. Not where he got his dog

* Mig being high is so fun

* I love the amount of funny angry scream scenes there are. It just adds so much comedic effect, and they don’t overuse them

* Celeste is iconic

* I love orson in the show but would hate him irl

* Having the first day in both their perspective was fun

* The episodes titles actually having something to do with the story.

* The queerbaiting was kinda unnecessary. They could of made Linds made out w a woman and be like: “yup not into this sorry”, instead of just queerbait

* Love how they actually followed up on their trauma and didn’t just brush over it *eghm* the flash *eghmm*

* Migs version of badass/alpha male (or whatever) being making room on the subway for a pregnant woman is so pure and cute😭

* The amount of references they had throughout the show was amazing

* I feel so single after watching this

* Newsie dancer!!

* Ned deserves everything.

* I actually feel kinda bad for Ned but Linds needed change

* Okay hear me out Ned is hot asf

* Chad asking/minupilating mig if he would be up for a threesome was the funniest thing ever

* Mig opening up to Linds but only a little bc he’s scared hurts

* Mig singing “can I ever know you?” First is so cute

* I wanted more of mig and his brothers relationship

* In “what if” they change her ever looping tune and it’s so cute aghh

* Carlos and Mae being like their characters irl is so fun

* The podcast is the best thing ever

* Miguel trying to fit in with the toxic masculinity in tiger king but he: cries when he watches notting hill, wants to be like Jane eyre n more is so fun

* The Lopezes are so talented it’s not even funny, the songs they wrote are all so good

Sometimes I think about Urianger's role in and feelings on the Thancred-Ryne dynamic and I think watching it kills him a bit inside. For several reasons.

Like, to begin with there's the guilt he's been carrying with him since he ushered Minfilia to the first, how he effectively killed the person Thancred cared about the most in the world and who's "death" ended up causing Ryne's entire Situation. He looks at what's happening between them and can only think "I caused this" even though that's not really true. No one person is responsible for this outcome, it's a culmination of several circumstances and the consequences of them. Logically, Urianger knows this. But it doesn't matter, because his guilt is overpowering his logic.

And also, like. What Thancred is doing here, the way he's knowingly letting Ryne be and stay hurt because he literally cannot bring himself to tell her his feelings, is the exact same mistake Urianger made with Moenbryda. Of course, the circumstances are vastly different, and the potential consequences to Thancred telling Ryne the wrong things or her misinterperating it is far greater (being a matter of literal life or death), it's still the same sort of paralysis they are trapped in.

And he knows it. He sees it. But he can't say or do anything about it, he doesn't have the right to. He acknowledges the mistake, but he hasn't really improved upon it yet. He still doesn't voice his thoughts and feelings as he should. He's also non-confrontational by nature, he doesn't argue or try to change peoples minds, he probably doesn't think he has any place to.

So, he tries to help in what little ways he can. Because he doesn't want it to become Monebryda again, he doesn't want to know he stole not one but two people from Thancred. So he does what he can. He tells Ryne little tidbits about Thancred, things that help her understand him but are safe to share. Nothing too deep, nothing too personal. Just small things, things that are purely factual, because he can't afford to give her a false image of who Thancred is. He teacher her fun and interesting things, because Thancred isn't in the mindset to provide her with non-essential skills.

I like to think Urianger has brought it up with Thancred at least once, during one of his stays. But nothing would've come of it. Not really. Unlike Y'shtola, Urianger isn't pushy, he'll bring it up once or twice and when he sees this won't go anywhere, he gives up. He wants to help, but he knows that persistance only does do much, and he is not the person who has the resiliance needed to push and push until Thancred finally budges (because he won't budge, it won't help anything but to sour things further by adding aditional stress to an already strained dynamic).

And like. Urianger gets it. He gets it because he's been the same way- not saying what he should to someone he loves more than anything else because she was meant to figure her life out herself, and 'steering' her in any direction by telling her his feelings (regardless of if the 'steering' is intention or not) will go against that. He gets it. He gets it and it's all the more painful for it. He knows it can't just be fixed by acknowledging it or with encouragement, something needs to happen to break the stasis.

I think this is probably why he stayed behind while they went off to Nabaath Areng. This is the very last chance they have to say what they want to, and he can't afford to be the anchor anymore. This is about them, not him, he can't let their resolution be buffed by his presence, so he stays behind. Which was probably for the best. Ryne got nervous when Urianger said he's staying behind, probably not too excited about being alone with Thancred (well, not alone, but WoL doesn't count) so soon after she had ran away crying. But she needs to be nervous. For anything positive to come out of this Thancred and Ryne both can't afford to be too relaxed. As sad as it is, the stress is necessary for anything to happen. He knows it. Does he like it? Absolutely not, but nor does he like his other plots. At least no one dies this time if it goes right.

Chilchuck Tims has 4 daughters

Izutsumi’s relationship with the whole party is very fun and heartwarming, and her relationship with each party member has something unique and special, but besides Senshi being the mama hen I really love how Chilchuck looks after Izutsumi in a father-ish way. He’s the only one in the party that sees her like an actual human girl lol. He treats her with respect while not letting himself be walked over, and I think there’s something to be said about it, esp since Chilchuck knows how it’s like to be infantilized and pet like a cute thing much like our favorite catgirl. He does handle her like a guy who has 3 adult daughters, parenting instincts kicking in

Listen I knooow the party is breaking up with the end approaching but I’ve been thinking a lot about if Izutsumi decided to stick with anyone and I think it’d be really nice if she stayed with Chilchuck. I love Chilchuck’s store so much, I have so many headcanons and fic plans involving it, but listen.  I feel like Chilchuck would be a good person to look after her, she’s still a teen and shown not to be mature enough to know what to do with herself and feed herself right yet, she could become Chilchuck’s store mascot like a cat that’s always lounging inside hehe.  He gains another sort-of-daughter and she keeps her favorite pillow, a loss-loss deal on his end but Chilchuck is too responsible to not take her in if needed mwahahaha Izutsumi would have no remorse, he’s ready to suffer for her comfort

Will never stop thinking about how Leo, all alone in an endless void and being beaten again and again and again by the only other living thing around, still finds comfort in that space. The situation he was in was completely hopeless, and in any other circumstances he would not have escaped, at least not fast enough to save him from permanent (or even fatal) damage, be it physical or mental.

And yet, despite the bleakness of his situation, despite the agony and helplessness, all he needs is one glance at a crumbled photograph, one glance to remember his family, and that’s enough of a reason for him to smile.

Maybe that’s why his powers center around manipulating space - because no matter how much space is between them, no matter how dire his own situation may be, just the thought of his family, alive and okay, is enough to give Leo hope.
