#I need more papyrus fics 😭😭

what would your HND skeletons and MC react to meeting their SSOM (six skeletons, one maid) alternative selves?

i feel like hnd sans will have the strongest reaction to his alternative self especially with the way he treats their version of maid MC

i also feel like the mc will spoil the maid rotten like 😭

I freaking love this ask and ever since I’ve read it I’ve been like brain rot of crossover. Not with Six Skeleton One Maid but another harem series where I’m just like MC from HND can go there and their MC can come to the main house in an accident and they have a day or week with the other skeletons (like one or three chapters, not long) and Error and Ink can fix it and IT HAS CONSUMED MY THOUGHTS! SO MANY SCENES ARE JUST EMBEDDED IN MY HEAD!! Like AHHHH. I would give my MC to this author and be like let me borrow yours and write them with your favorite skeleton that I write, they can make out I don’t care and you take my MC and make her talk to these skeletons so I can die happy, like a fic swap but I’m too scared to ask XD. 

Anyway you gave me brain rot, here's your answer. And obviously I can’t answer for @raccoonsinqueen and how her skeletons feel. 

Sans - They get along great at first and then the other Sans makes him extremely uncomfortable when he sees how Six skeleton Sans not only treats the human maid but also avoids any responsibility and hides when he is in the wrong. HND Sans also has a tendency to hide away when he is overwhelmed and he tends to be the bearer of bad news but he won’t actively run away and if confronted he tells his MC everything. 

Papyrus - Is confused about why the six skeletons Papyrus has a human as a maid. HND Papyrus just wants to help her do the chores, it’s way too much for one human. The two Papyrus’ do get along though and besides being a little confused HND Papyrus is ok with his counterpart at least. 

Red -HND Red sort of pity’s Six skeletons Red. HND Red might have had a rocky start with MC but they get on great now, they flirt and Red feels super lucky to be where he is in their relationships. He sees Six skeleton Red keep making mistakes though and can’t help but feel he won’t get anywhere with the maid acting like he is. He doesn’t necessarily have a problem with the structure of their lives, more that he feels this other Red is never going to get anywhere and doesn’t seem to want to learn. 

Edge -Thinks the other him is a prideful idiot and that’s his downfall. Look Edge can cook, he and the human have a good relationship, his brothers not terrified of him. Meanwhile Black is too stubborn to learn to cook, keeps fucking up with the maid, doesn’t communicate and his brother is terrified (or that’s what it looks like). Edge didn’t even need to trick MC into calling him boss, she did that on her own, meanwhile Black has to threaten his human to call him master. Edge thinks he is better than Black and won’t lower himself to prove it because anyone with eyes could see it. 

Blue -They actually get along pretty well. Blue thinks that the maid thing is odd but it’s not his dimension so he won’t say anything. He does end up helping the maid a few times with the cleaning, he just feels so bad. Blue also finds himself accidentally bragging about all the fun things he’s done with his MC. He really doesn’t mean to, he just gets reminded of things and likes to talk. 

Orange -Is sort of a dick to Master Orange. The two get along pretty well in the grand scheme of things but Orange feels he can tease the other version of him because while he has fucked up it hasn’t been nearly as bad as what this other him has done. Getting the maid to lie to him about being in love is just pathetic in Orange’s eyes. They are pretty similar though so there isn’t a whole lot to dislike between either. 

Berry - So Indigo isn’t technically Berry (it’s complicated) but he’s the closest to Berry and Berry hates him and how he treats the maid. He can’t stand him. Berry will literally leave a room if this skeleton comes in and Berry remains in work mode basically the whole time he’s there unless MC is around. Berry will be himself with MC. Berry hates Indigo so much he would rather go hang out with both Orange’s, literally two of them then be with the other him.  

Syrup -He doesn’t have much of an opinion on Purple other than the other skeleton is trying too hard and talks too much. He won’t actively seek Purple out but he doesn’t avoid him like Berry is doing to Indigo. Unless someone does something to upset MC or Berry, Syrup is going to take it easy here. 

MC - She loves the fucking Maid and is 100% kidnapping her. If any of the master skeleton’s come over to them she is going to shut them down so hard. She is also going to enlist the help of her own skeleton neighbors to help with the housework and they get it done fast. Mc is going to spoil that maid so much and she is not afraid to fight a skeleton to do it.

bro I haven't worked on any of my actual wips in ages 🙈 but uhhhhhhhh I can get something from those out of context scenes from the Walls rewrite/sequels lol.

so I picked something from a scene I wrote a while back, involving my cowriter's OC who's being worked into Walls and MY new OC. this will most likely not show up anywhere in the final story, I think it was just an exercise in how those two characters would interact if they were to meet.

“Listen. I don’t have much time.” The man stumbled forward, and automatically, Minerva reached out to catch him. About three inches shorter than she was, he looked pleadingly up into her eyes. “Time for what?” Minerva held her breath. She didn’t know this guy at all, but something about him seemed… important. “Mettaton is about to make a huge mistake. You have to…” Minerva realized with horror that the man could barely breathe. “What’s wrong? Is there a way I can help you…?” The man took a great gasping breath, and, as though he were annoyed with himself, shook his head roughly. “No. There’s nothing anyone can do for me anymore. But listen. I’ve--I’ve been watching Mettaton. And if he makes the decision I’m afraid he’s going to, terrible things are going to happen to him, I just know it. I need you to do everything in your power to make him choose otherwise. And--and if he chooses it anyway, I need you to just… be there. To help him.” “I don’t--w… why me?” Minerva whispered. The man grasped her upper arms. “There are few people he loves quite like you,” he said. “Of course he loves all his family, but you’re gentle with him in a way that’s stuck with him. He respects you differently, I think he’s more likely to listen. Please, Minerva. Protect him. Do what I couldn’t.”

18. Do you enjoy research? Which fic of yours required the most research?

Depends on what I'm researching but overall I'd say yeah! Walls definitely has required the most, due to needing to research Aotearoa and Maaori culture, as well as all the mental health and trauma-related topics.

25. What’s your favorite part of the writing process (worldbuilding, brainstorming/outlining, writing, editing, etc)?

writing. so writing. I don't consider myself very good at worldbuilding, and while brainstorming and outlining is fun, it doesn't compare to actually getting my imagination onto paper. as for editing... I don't edit very much 😭 I think I'm going to try more in the future though, I make wayyyy too many typos.

but yeah. writing. finally seeing the characters come to life in a tangible way. that feeling I get when I come up with a killer line. I love that.

34. How much of your personal life/experience do you include in your fics?

depends on the fic, but I think Walls has the most of Me in it, even if the traumas don't entirely line up--I still relate to Papyrus and Mettaton more than I probably should, lol.

ok the cuddle logistics! ive broken them down into how they are with platonic cuddling/touching and how they are with romantic cuddling/touching just in a general sense!

im really happy you asked because i am sitting on so many thoughts and headcanons right now, i want to unleash them. this was a blast to answer! :D

sans - in terms of platonic cuddling id say it takes him a HOT second for him to get comfortable enough to be super touchy feely with someone but after he trusts you casual touching is on the table like leaning on each other while waiting in line, sticking your feet in each others laps while watching a movie, and little squeezy sidehugs are all things hed do. with a romantic partner he will just lay on you 24/7 like a cat whenever the opportunity arises. especially if hes had a bad day. congratulations you now have your very own skeleton shaped weighted blanket

papyrus - oh he is all about platonic hugs, cuddles, and everything in between. kind of guy to pick you up and spin you around when hes excited. he is very casual with his touches, always having a hand on you or something. he loves to pat your head, your hair feels cool and he would love to try and style it in some way (no matter how much or how little you have he will find a way). romantically he manages to be even more physically affectionate and will also start carrying you places like a ferret. he likes to hold your hand while driving, one on the wheel the other tangled with yours.

blue - platonic touching is a double edged sword for blue because on one hand he is all for it on the other hand he is so painfully awkward (an unfortunate side effect of sansism) he feels like he is crossing some unspoken boundary between you two so unless youre very communicative of your comfort he will dance around anything beyond greeting hugs. romantically, hes still very attentive to your boundaries, but he is much more loose with his affection. he is SUPER domestic, hes always loved the sappy stuff from romance movies, so he tends to default to that. he likes to twirl you around, hug you from behind, and gush about you to anyone who listens. a full cuddle session is hard to get out of him, not because he doesnt want to, he just cant sit still. i hc he has adhd which plays a part in that.

stretch - in terms of platonic cuddling or touching he is a very laid back guy. you can lean on him, lay on him, or cling to him all you want, he doesnt mind at all. he wont initiate anything until you do though, hes lax with his boundaries, but hes aware not everyone is. stretch also has a tendency to slap the nearest thing to him when he laughs really hard ranging from his knee, to the arm of the couch, or the shoulder of whoever is closest to him. romantically though, you would need the jaws of life to remove him from your side ESPECIALLY while sleeping together its almost like he coats himself in gorilla glue before latching onto you.

red - platonic cuddling is not really his thing, he feels very vulnerable in that position which makes him uncomfortable. hed have to be VERY close with you as a friend or just VERY tired to really get all in the cuddle zone. while hes sleeping he will just hang onto the closest warm thing he can find. romantically, thats not a problem. to be in a relationship with red, hes gotta trust you a significant amount anyway, so its no longer a factor. hes kind of possessive and loves showing off his partner so he’ll have an arm around you in public (he is your scary dog privileges) or playfully knocking into you while youre walking around together. he really likes to hold you while hes watching tv. i hope you like rick and morty.

edge - platonic cuddling is not really his thing, even touching is weird from him. he is not used to being that open with someone. he will grab your shoulders or have a hand behind your back to steer you places, either out of his way or out of harms way. he absolutely instinctually puts arm out to catch someone when he hits the breaks too hard or before crossing the road. romantically he is not a fan of pda but in private hes kind of a sap. at first he wont ask to cuddle or hug he will just stare at you until you do it and VEHEMENTLY deny wanting it. as he gets more comfortable in the relationship he is much more open about what he wants, though there are some things youll have to juice out of him.

lord - literally do not touch him. platonically youd be VERY VERY hard pressed to get anything out of him that isnt the worlds most stiff and awkward hug or a pat on the back. if you initiate anything, it depends on how close he is with you. he will either remove you, or stiffen up completely for like an hour before relaxing. romantically, its not much different. you are welcome to lay on him or touch him all you want (he silently likes the contact) hes used to his brother’s mode of affection, but hes still not used to dishing it out himself so hes still SOOO awkward about it. give him time, he’ll get better about it.

mutt - the only difference between cuddling as his friend and romantic as his partner is if you are romantically involved he has wandering hands. he literally lays down on anyone and everyone he can in the craziest positions. on the couch, in the car, upside down, in a hammock, on the roof, on the floor of the grocery store. hes just a very tired, very touch starved dude. hes the kind of guy to try to trap you in bed when you have to get up in the morning to do something and whine about it as you try to pry him off.

general cuddle pile: can be broken up into the ones who are all for it and the ones who are not.

papyrus, red, mutt, and stretch are totally cool with melding into a giant mass, theyre pretty comfortable with affection towards each other as a family and having you involved would be pretty epic. it’d probably only happen during a movie night, a game night, or watching a show. (red isn’t comfortable being affectionate towards everyone in the family, just these three and edge despite the fact being affectionate with edge is like lion taming)

sans, lord, edge, and blue will pass on the cuddle puddle. lord and edge are just uncomfortable with that much mass affection, sans is absolutely mildewing with guilt and will continue to mildew about it for an eternity so until he gets blasted with some healing its out of the question, and blue has a very hard time sitting still and he doesnt want to disrupt things so he will not join. he is more than happy to sit on the sidelines though!

25. Honestly? Just how fun it is. I started writing this year just as a way to get out all the self-indulgent thoughts I had of the guys and I didn’t expect it to go anywhere. But I found that I really enjoy writing, and I’m having so much fun with this blog and with my fic, and it’s just the perfect thing to relax with whenever I have downtime.

28. For my fic, “Handle with Care” I was definitely inspired by “Fur a Good Time Call…” by popatochisp. That fic was the fic that got me into horrortale and honestly it was such a good read. I read it last year actually, and it got me thinking about writing my own HT Sans/reader fic because there isn’t a lot of fluffy ones out there for him.

14. I don’t have a specific line in mind, but I really like this little scene in chapter 5 of my fic:

Sans looks at Papyrus fondly. It often feels like Papyrus is the one who has to take care of him. Sans feels like a bit of a burden. Papyrus does all the cooking; a lot of the cleaning, and he’s basically the main income too. All while going to school and following his dreams… Sans is just happy that Papyrus still needs him sometimes. this is a fic I have completely read through about Papyrus, and it's pretty great. virtually no Mettaton content that I can remember, but we need more good Pap content, so I'm recommending this anyway.
