#I still hate Rebecca and Nia

Headcanons of my least favorite ttte characters
Charlie: acts more like the fool in king Lear, is able to ridicule each character while playing it as a joke, no one takes it as seriously. He is the wise fool archetype but is often viewed as stupid and unfunny and borderline annoying.
Nia: Nia decided to go to Sodor to help pay off Thomas’s trip. Gordon just sees her as nothing as a poor attempt to replace Edward and is cold to her. Because of this, Nia feels like she is being pressured to live up to Edward’s legacy. She also likes to make polite small talk and hisses to get a stranger’s attention which is common practice in Kenya, she also tends to get really close to engines and doesn’t make a lot of eye contact as its part of Kenyan customs, but it’s viewed as rude to everyone on the island. She also does not like getting her pictures taken. She also likes listening to the other’s stories and often spends the night at Edward’s shed to listen to his tales about his time working on the railway. She also somehow was able to make up an excuse for her to spend the night with the narrow gauge engines as an excuse to listen to their stories.
Rebecca: she came to the island to help an aging Gordon pull the express, which Gordon initially hates but then calms down after coming to terms that he is no longer the young, new, fast express train that he used to be and is now considering retiring from express services, also, in my timeline, Edward just retired and Gordon is still coming to terms with it. Edward is still on the island, but stays on his branchline to do slow and light trains. Rebecca really wants to prove her work and please Gordon, but she is worried about how her wheel slip affects her and other worries about how her chain-driven valve gear would affect her. She wants to please everyone to a fault and is very self conscious about her wheel slip as it is something that she cannot control and is something that just happens (kind of like how a person with parkingson’s can’t control their tremors). Over time she learns to better manage her wheel slips and over all has the personality of a golden retriever. She also consults with Henry about her issues after learning that Henry once suffered with issues in his design.

Still, have you ever been interested in knowing the facts about my oc Tammy
#1
Tammy introduces herself as a brash and rude woman and is Thomas' older sister
(This is my au)
#2
Her personality is cheerful, kind, cunning, serious and hot-tempered
#3
It happens that she always sings along to some songs that she listened to
#4
I sometimes like to tease Thomas when I'm bored and always call him "brother" or just by his name (I don't know why I wrote that lol)
#5
She could be mistaken for Thomas as she was very similar to him but could be distinguished by color as so Tammy looks like a tank locomotive, she is a little lighter and has a small lightning bolt pattern on her side where her number is
#6
Tammy can have a neutral and negative attitude towards steam locomotives; she hates diesels most of all; she doesn’t like it when they say that diesels are better than steam locomotives or when they call them names, it irritates her and
#7
Tammy enjoys doing her job and sometimes helps other engines with freight and freight trains
#8
Her favorite animals are cats, dogs and foxes
#9
In human form, she looks like an ordinary girl with long blue hair, her height is 165cm and she is almost taller than Thomas but some may mistake Thomas and Tammy for twins but they have different personalities and common interests
#10
Tammy doesn't respect arrogant and serious engines
#11
Her best friends are Percy, Edward, James, Henry, Diesel999, Angel, Rosie, Mavis, Nia and Rebecca
#12
I was always glad to meet someone and be interested in different topics
#13
Usually she doesn’t smile before work, it makes no sense for her to just smile like that, it happens that she may be in a bad mood, one of the engines wants to ask what happened and she speaks rudely or raises her voice when she is angry
#14
At some point after work, she can go into the forest and relax from the sounds of nature to relieve stress and this calms her down
#15
She sleeps in the Sydery station shed with Angel and sometimes talks to him
#16
The sound of the whistle makes the same sound as Thomas's, but it is longer and a little low, but it still makes the sound of the whistle for 3 seconds and maybe 15 seconds to signal that there is an accident
#17
In his free time, he can listen to music on headphones and dance, draw what he wants, watch videos from his phone and sometimes talk to someone
#18
Travels quickly in a straight line at a speed of 100 km/h and with turbo acceleration 200 km/h
(yeah, she has turbo acceleration, but I didn't mention that)
#19
Can take on the form of a steam engine and a person whenever she wants
#20
When there is no working day, she sits in the driver’s cabin, Thomas, where the fireman and driver are, to watch nature and think about herself
#21
At an early age she received several scars on her body, but after she turned 19 years old, her wounds healed, but the marks remained a little, but it was impossible to notice it
This seems to be all the facts that I told, I apologize if I made mistakes when I wrote about it

So i finally watched BWBA (Season 24)
My very useless review of BWBA Season 24
Please make your own opinions. Don't be like me (way before this) and base yours off of everyone's else. That's why I put useless, because it is if you hadn't made your own.
Surprisingly, this season was in plain sight, as well as other T&F seasons.
Emily's Best Friend
I hated it. I still hate. Sorry, but the 2-12 interaction could not save it. I still love that moment though. To me, Emily is OOC.
Thomas' Fuzzy Friend
Wholesome filler episode with a ref to Thomas the Babysitter, which is one of my all-time favorites. I love it.
The Great Little Engine Show
Eh- i like the mention of the model engines. Don't have anything against it but it doesn't stick out. .3.
Thomas and the Forest Engines
I like it. :D I like the storyline about why certain engines are allocated to certain places.
Emily to the Rescue
Peak Emily moment. I love it but why did it take so long for her to get her number??? 😭 Oh, well. I still love it.
I love that bring out her caring aspect. It's like her intro episode. (I finally watched it and MAN, i wish I got that Emily growing up 😭 she just came off as a bossy big sister /neg)
Shankar's Makeover
Shankar's like me. /srs I like this episode for addressing situations like this. Stage fright, not wanting attention, and being someone who keeps to themself. Nice episode.
Nia and the Unfriendly Elephant
The references are nice. I love Nia's love for animals and her assignment to the park. Before, her job wasn't permanent. Also, Belle is here. I love her. I love them. I like it. :]
Until I watch all of Nia's episodes, I won't be commenting on how she supposedly repeats learning things from Kenya all the damn time.
However, I do have a problem with the argument being made. It feels like it dimisses that different cultures interact like this most of the time, bringing up the ways they handle certain situations. From my expierence, i hear where these differences come from all the time, even if I know the person well enough.
I just don't see the problem with Nia bringing up how things different are between her old home and Sodor. It feels relatable, despite the fact that I'm Hispanic (Mexican), and it makes sense.
James the Super Engine
I ADORE THIS EPISODE. I've talked about it before but in short, I love how James is portrayed. Could've EASILY written him as a hero who gave up and didn't bother checking up on Rebecca when she yelled for help. But no, they went the right way. James IS caring but considering the environment he's had to work in for so many years, you can see why he doesn't show it. But here, HE DOES.
And when he realizes that Rebecca is in trouble? Its his normal voice, whereas before, it was his superhero voice.
My honest reaction whenever i watch it:
Tumblr media
Thomas' Not-So-Lucky Day
Eh- I think the lesson is pretty good about getting those good things by thinking positively and working towards them instead of letting luck be the decision maker.
Ace's Brave Jump
I dont care.
Nia's Bright Idea
W Nia for being resourceful and bringing things together. I like it.
Cleo's First Snow
I like it.
Sonny's Second Chance
I like it.
Thomas and the Inventor's Workshop
I dont care for Ruth but I like it. Its decent.
The Inventor's Bridge
That bridge is going to fall over but there's probably physics that I don't understand that makes it make sense. At the end though, i could care less.
Yong Bao and the Tiger
I've seen it before.
I initially didn't like it due to the dynamics of the story. Like why is a massive engine like Yong Bao shunting in the yard?
However, i like it more now. I can dismiss the dynamic.
Gordon and Rebecca, Coming Through!
I've talked about it before. Its confusing, especially with its placement. Would've worked better as the episode following 'Confusion Without Delay".
Despite this, i like their dynamic.
Gordon's behavior is tiresome. I usually ignore it but i've seen enough of CGI TTTE that im getting sick and tired out of it. I've heard that his character growth was forgotten but i havent seen enough to have a say.
Kenji on the Rails
Mixed feelings on this one because Hiro's leaving. :( Stop writing off my favorite characters.
In my second, I noticed Hiro's "konnichiwa" and got thrown off completely. Odd how they're JUST now bringing out Hiro's first language. I don't remember seeing this brought out before BWBA.
Not really a review because of that. I'm sour about it.
Cleo the Road Engine
Ah, the intro episode. I thought it was in season 23. Its just Thomas and Bertie rewritten but Cleo is avoiding her jobs. No, it somehow didn't destroy my liking to her.
Thomas' Animal Friends
I think its cute but Thomas would've straight up ignored Gordon.
Overall impression: Not as shitty as its made to be. It has its good moments and bad moments.
I'm so glad that I wasn't bombarded with fantasy sequences with this one. Those are just plain ridiculous, for the most part. In some episodes, it fits like James the Super Engine and Thomas' Animal Friends. The one in Emily's Best Friend made me cringe but I enjoyed it because its Edwad and Emily.
Listen, I'm desperate for 2-12 content, man, and I've been ignoring model era for a good while because I just dont want to.
Uh, that's it.

Diesel 10 for that shipping thing?? 😅
I shouldn't be allowed in anyone's inbox pff
Froggi, you are eternally valid. <3
I may disappoint you though, because despite some soul-searching I personally just don’t ship him (much).
Either he’s a hammy Big Bad, an evil bastard who does evil bastard things—in which case I appreciate the ham, but I don’t give a shit about his happiness…
… or he’s not evil, I can rationalize him on Sodor as a rather antisocial eccentric no problem, in fact lately I’ve been thinking that he’s a terribly interesting character that way—you know, the creative brooding loner aspect that @feigeroman and Saphirefox (AO3) bring out so well, but combined with his canonical ‘massive adrenaline junkie’ streak?—personally I HC that he is deeply scarred from the dysfunctional mainland diesel-vs.-steamie civil war + the dystopian job management did raising him and his class, which left him eternally prone to genuine mental breakdowns…
… yeah, like I said, fascinating. But not really conducive to him having healthy relationships. I can’t see anyone on Sodor who would be the right match for him.
Luckily, for large chunks of his life he can barely stand the idea that other people/engines/etc. exist… so he isn’t too sorry about that.
Oh yeah, also in my HC he’s just an ordinary ‘Warship,’ no major mods.
Tumblr media
Once posters for TATMR came out, more than one engine encountered D10 to check in…
“Er, Ten? So it looks like in that movie they’re giving you this—”
“Didja see they gave me a CLAW!” *beaming because this was during one of his manic years*
“Oh, good.” *with real relief* “You heard.”
“Heard? It was my idea! Great, innit? Hatt can’t believe they went for it!”
*chuckling in appreciation—‘cause Ten certainly is a true original*
Okay, so, if I go for that second interpretation, then here’s what little I have:
💞✨  OTP ✨ 💞: Marion?
Strictly platonic. But I think they get on very well together. (Ten kills it at “Guess What’s In My Shovel.” Marion adores his witty guesses—and she has no problem at all shutting down and ignoring any of his “nonsense,” when he Gets Into One Of His Moods. She's the only one who can tell him off when he's a dick, and he'll reliably listen rather than resent her.)
Other Ships That Are 👌: His other special friendships:
‘Arry, Bert, Henry, Salty, Madge, Sir Handel, Peter Sam, Harvey, Mavis, Harold
Also Ten and Smudger in Saphirefox’s ‘verse are 👌x1000… I hope there are half-a-dozen more installments
Interesting But Fence 👀: Basically, these friendships are… a bit one-sided?
all the Skarloey engines (he tries to hide it, but Ten has a thing for little guys and the narrow-gauge does just melt him), Bertie, Arthur, Nia, Oliver, Diesel, Percy, Gordon
Amazingly, with Gordon the one-sidedness is on Gordon’s side. Gordon is remarkably tolerant about at least some of Ten’s eccentricities. Given that he usually rails against Ten-sized changes, let alone genuine disruptions, to his daily life, this is an unusual degree of tolerance. But Gordon is okay with the notion that big express engines need, nay have the right, to sometimes cut loose, especially if they’re not getting regular gallops (poor engine!)
Better As Friends 😊: Molly, Daisy—in particular, I can see him and Daisy having a chronic on-again-off-again thing. Mostly off, to be honest. But it’s still as close to a functional romantic relationship as I think Ten will ever have!
Molly would be more of a one-time thing. It was sweet, really—almost too sweet for even Ten to imagine it would ever stand to be poked again.
‘Arry and Bert qualify as better as rivals, I think.
Meh 😑 / Overrated : Even with all the explanation and backstory and worldbuilding in the world, I have to confess I really can never suspend my disbelief for D10/Lady. More power to those of you who are having a ball with it, but it’s just not for me.
It Happened Once In A Dream 🌑 (or AU 🤔): Ten hates Rebecca. (There’s no particular reason; truth is, if you first meet Ten when he’s having a bad day, there’s just no coming back from it. Thomas and Philip are also on his shitlist.) However, he did once have a very, very, very steamy dream about her…
He has yet to forgive himself or her for it.
If I Had to Put Them in a Polycule 💗: This guy is incapable of handling one intimate relationship; there’s no way he’ll ever be well enough to navigate a polycule.
The closest thing I have to offer is that I ship Mavis and Salty (OTP-level, too!) Ten is one of the best versions of himself around them, and they take pity and have him third wheel a fair amount... considering that they themselves don’t get nearly as much time together as they should like.
NOTP 😤: James. In my ‘verse, they probably have the absolute worst relationship on the NWR… It’s a problem, and basically everyone knows to not leave them alone or really anywhere near each other.

Top Five OC Verse Momence That Made You: cry; laugh; angry; !!!! Emotion
ooooooh,,,
CRY
specifically when James comes back from being kidnapped and Iskandar clings to him for days. this is good crying but also sad crying
the one where we killed Zaim, that we didn't even ignore properly, but that is forever in my mind as a moment that fucked me up
James getting kidnapped in front of Iskandar and Aamir, honestly
the one where Rafaäl becomes mortal and. slightly overestimates his mortal strength, and Nye is the one to find him, and he and James are trying to support him while also dealing with what they saw,
Rhodri and Rebecca. just, everything, them and their daughter who died, and Rebecca never recovering, and Rhodri ending up all alone with no company other than a ghost,
LAUGH
Tiberius fucking Oleander and still managing to be homophobic about it, only to get chucked out of his house by his father wall stark bollock naked. in a similar vein, Tiberius on the verge of getting beaten up by Kai and getting a raging boner about it
Rafaäl dressing as a woman and saying he'd marry Tiberius, only to suck him off, reveal he's really a man, and make Tiberius raise a child he didn't really want. iconic actions. Tiberius suffering consequences is Always good
Kai/James high school verse, specifically any part where Kai makes fun of James for liking the Smiths
honestly? Glenn getting called "fish guy" by all of Jeanette's siblings. it just makes me laugh because I can picture his expression and I love it so much
I HATE to say it but. Tiberius accosting Rafaäl in the grocery store over his shorts, and Rafaäl threatening to smack him with his cane, and then introducing Nye to naked sunbathing within like a week of this happening
ANGRY
what Caligula did to Manchineel, and the entire trial, and how he tried to defend himself. how he was so slimy and awful the whole time, and genuinely didn't regret what he did.
that one where Rafaäl managed to escape Oleander, only for James (and Nia) to bring him to the Golden Galleon to be reunited with the man who intends to hurt him. I know I did this but it was truly dreadful on both of their parts.
that one verse we had where Kai and Ray got divorced, Kai implied Ray and Zaim were stupid because Ray put Zaim in a traditional school and Zaim got bullied for it. also, Zaim getting bullied, that was Awful
how James turned on Hyacinth when he realised he was Nye's son and not Oleander's. specifically, how he then ignored Hyacinth every time he tried to tell him what Oleander was doing
I am not belittling the situation by putting it further down, but everything about how Boris treated Kai. I just can't isolate a specific one or a specific verse, it's always just terrible
!!! EMOTION
Rye affair kicking off. I kind of wanted it when I made Nye, and then it happened!! it happened for them and I love them both dearly
specifically, when Glenn was created, when you described him and let me do the rest, and how he fits so nicely into Jeanette's life, how he's kind and gentle and respects her boundaries, and how she slowly comes to trust him, I. !!!!!
Kaimes confessions, like. all of them. specifically, the times when they share a bed and cuddle "to be like the trope", and the one where Kai invites James to prom, and the one where they try to guess each other's crushes and then end up saying (correctly) each other's names, these are all fully !!!!! emotion moments
whenever Kry makes a breakthrough in therapy or communication, honestly, because I Want them to work, even though we made them both when we weren't in fantastic places, I think they can do better, just like us!! like, whenever they get better at talking, I am just !!! because they are Improving!
when Jeanette asked Glenn to come for dinner with her, when she felt safe enough with him to spend time alone with him, like, that must've been So Much for her, and it meant a lot to him, too,

@jobey-wan-kenobi
Is there anything you used to like but can’t stand now?*
The Steam Team
I’ve said it before, but the Steam Team is a stupid concept imo. It’s one to thing have the “core crew” (a much better title for them lol), but slapping a bunch of engines into a shed where several of them do not need to be in is dumb. Now I didn’t like the seemingly rigid Steam Team per say, but I wasn't wholly against it.
I pretty much hate the idea of the Steam Team for three main reasons.
One: as stated before I find the concept stupid. Edward, Thomas, and even Percy do not need to be there. They work on branchlines. That’s why Duck doesn’t sleep there anymore (yes, I am aware of Emily “replacing” him but even in the books he didn’t sleep there for long).
Two: Yes, Mattel (or whatever) fucked up by removing Henry and slapping him wherever. Edward is much better because he’s on his actual branchline. We’re not even going to discuss whatever the fuck is going on with Toby. I don’t think they even know. I am also not going to discuss Rebecca and Nia. I have pretty much zero knowledge and zero feelings about them. They also fucked up in the first place by ironing out the steam team in cannon in the first place. There was no reason to.
Three: The fandom went nuts when Edward and Henry left. Now I know it was also partially out of fear of them disappearing completely, but still...  pls chill. Even if they did/do use them, it’s gonna be bad. We all know this now. There are bigger problems to worry about in the show.

This is the first time I've ever drawn snow. Honestly I've wanted to draw Nia seeing snow for the first time since I saw BWBA. Gotta say she just might be my new favorite character if she keeps up that fun loving but hard working and somewhat sassy attitude. Still can't believe that I still see a bunch of hate for her and Rebecca online... quite honestly it feels like everyone is just salty that the old are BEING MOVED NOT REMOVED in favor of characters that are easier to make stories for. It makes me think that everyone is nostalgia blinded (I never was for Edward and Henry, I was fairly neutral towards them as a kid) when it comes to Edward and Henry. Anyway, Nia is fascinated by the snow, never having actually seen snow in person (or in engine) before. She's astounded! She's in awe! She's freezing since she's used to much warmer weather and didn't bring clothes that would protect her body from the new elements.

epiclafiteau: If Edward and Henry never left Tidmouth Sheds, BUT two engines HAD to leave, who would they be and why? Let me hear what you think! Who would be in their spots? Someone that's been there before, or someone that hasn't? My take btw: Edward and James. Edward at Wellsworth Sheds makes so much sense, and James should've been kicked out as the punishment. Yeah, Thomas/Percy at Ffarquhar would be neat but Toby's at Arlesdale End now. Henry doesn't need to stay at Vicarstown and Emily is just there.
JD41796: Honestly do what the series did and move Edward to Wellsworth because that actually makes sense, and throw Thomas and Percy back with Toby. Have the engines stay closest to their place of work, and have the sheds be what it used to be; whoever is working in that area, stays there.
epiclafiteau: Edward moving to Wellsworth to be closer to his branchline was a smart move, and it made sense. The issue is they're like "Henry's going to Vicarstown ok bye". I'm sure we were supposed to get an episode further explaining it but they haven't done so yet and the only thing to back it up is the fact that Henry is on the Mainland in 70% of the specials lol.
StreakSmeargle: I’d actually kick out three. Thomas, Percy, and Edward. Thomas and Percy can move to Ffarquhar (and honestly Nia can live there too). And Edward can move to Wellsworth like he already does. Fill up the missing Tidmouth slots with Rebecca and maybe the Scots?
epiclafiteau: Unless I'm missing something, I'm not actually sure where exactly Duck, Oliver, Donald and Douglas stay in the CGI Series. We see Ryan, Daisy, Judy & Jerome at Harwick but are there sheds somewhere else on the Little Western? It made sense for Duck to stay at Tidmouth in Duck and the Slip Coaches cause he was needed nearby, something they should do more often, but I don't think we've actually seen where he normally stays.
StreakSmeargle: There should be sheds at Arlesburgh if the RWS is any indication. Duck, Oliver, and Toad would realistically stay there. Donald and Douglas could also stay there but it might make sense to have them at Tidmouth as they’re not strictly tied to Little Western only. Gordon, James, Henry, Rebecca, and Emily can definitely stay at Tidmouth tho. Henry at Vicarstown was a neat concept but it went nowhere so I say move him back.
epiclafiteau: I can get past Edward moving because of etc reasons but the big 3 should definitely stick together. Edward leaving felt sort of natural because it had a whole episode to it and he suggested staying at Wellsworth permanently. Henry liked the idea, followed by deciding to transfer to Vicarstown, and nothing happened.
StreakSmeargle: If they ever do move Henry back to Tidmouth, they could do an episode where he starts reconsidering his decision on moving to Vicarstown but worries about what the others will think. That would allow him to move back and even potentially shedding light on why he moved in the first place.
Jacob34335638: Well, I think James could be kicked out as punishment for destroying the sheds in the first place, and Emily could possibly leave too since she works on the Misty Valley Branchline, and it would be convent for her to be closer to her work like Edward is at Wellsworth Sheds.
epiclafiteau: Yeah, literally. I never understood why they were like "Well James, you destroyed the sheds... Okay, Edward, go find somewhere else to stay".
Echo62445283: Because apparently they were like "Hey thats Edward's part of the shed guess he has to go, not like he can sleep in your spot James".
ComradeSpinel90: Tbh... Percy and Thomas. They have sheds at Tidmouth and Ffharquhar. And in Nia and Rebecca and it would be fine. Or better yet. Drop Nia and add in oh idk... Stanley, or someone underrated imo.
epiclafiteau: Now you're on the right track.
ComradeSpinel90: And it wouldn't be out there norm. There was many time where they were at Tidmouth and Ffharquhar.
ilovetrains3232: The obvious Thomas and Percy go back to Ffarqhuar, Edward going to Wellsworth like in the show because, and as much as some people hate to hear, it was a great idea. They just haven't executed it to it's fullest ability. James could be an interesting choice as a punishment for crashing into it in the first place. I feel like Gordon is the only one who should stay there no matter what. Emily was the reason the 7th she'd was added but that doesn't necessarily mean she HAS to stay there and Henry, should have probably stayed but could easily go somewhere else and it would work. Tidmouth AND Vicarstown both honestly don't make much since for Henry. Yes, Henry does go to the mainland sometimes but not as much as he works elsewhere. If anything, Henry should have moved to Wellsworth with Edward. Since he has to go to Brendam anyways to pick up the Flying Kipper, and Wellsworth is in the center of the island so it would make it easier for him to work anywhere. As opposed to be on either side.
legomastr_365: I love all of them too much to kick anyone out, but seeing the replies makes sense since that's literally what I do in my series.
epiclafiteau: Thomas and Percy is the most logical answer but I'm curious to know if anyone would consider Emily or James, or have other reasons for Thomas/Percy.
GraydonBruckle1: Definitely Emily, as for the other I'm not sure.. I guess Edward or Percy. Edward does make sense BUT he is one of the three original character the Rev W. Awdry wrote about.. Percy could go to Ffarquhar. That way he wont have to go far for the mail run or something like that.
ElliotKW: It would be Thomas and Percy and I'd move them back to Ffarquhar Sheds (even though the sheds are in the yards at Tidmouth Station). Series 2 kept the roots of Thomas, Percy and Toby living in the sheds for five episodes and I would love to see that happen again in the future.
SunilFan48: Thomas and Percy. Go to Ffarquhar sheds with Toby like they did for S2 and then never again. Leaves room for Nia and Rebecca and no Tidmouth Shed reconstruction.
ThomasTheorist: The only engines who really need to be at Tidmouth Sheds are Gordon, Henry and James. Everyone else can be shuffled around.
TheLargeBarge: At Tidmouth Sheds you'll have Henry, Gordon, James, Emily, Rebecca, Donald and Douglas. At Ffarquhar, Thomas, Percy, Toby and Mavis. Knapford Sheds; Nia, Paxton and Rosie. Wellsworth; Edward and Philip. Arlesburgh; Duck and Oliver and Harwick; Ryan and Daisy.
CTFEologist: Thomas and Percy; move them to Ffarquhar with Toby instead.
DanielAlsop2: Well I’d still go with Edward, but also Thomas and Percy to Ffarquhar or Tidmouth Station, since they both work on Thomas’ branch line and if they had the usual adventure encounters, they could meet the others at Knapford or Elsbridge, simple.
GTSHProductions: I’d actually kick Thomas and Percy to live at Farquhar. But to be honest, I liked it better when the engines just slept wherever whenever they wanted.
TFan512: This may be controversial, but I’d still let it be Edward and Henry. Wellsworth is on Edward’s branch line, and he could be a mentor to Philip like he was to Thomas in The Adventure Begins (too bad no episodes have so far done that). As for Henry, he goes up to Vicarstown a lot anyway when he travels to the Mainland, and with him taking The Flying Kipper at night, he hardly has any time to rest at Tidmouth. I don’t agree with James being moved out as punishment, as he showed remorse in An Engine of Many Colours and was forgiven.
NWTom25: I choose three, Edward, Henry and Emily. It make sense to remove Edward to his branch line shed, Henry at Vicarstown since he could run goods trains from there to the mainland and Emily could stay at Knapford sheds like she did in CAE! I honestly don't see the need to remove Thomas and Percy since it had been stated in a Mr. Perkins interval that Knapford was the starting point for Thomas' branch line. So it make sense in the current series to have Thomas and Percy at the sheds. Plus Toby could fill in the spot at the sheds that the engines I chose left and maybe fill in the space for any of the secondary characters (e.g - Duck, Donald, Douglas, Rosie etc.).
TidmouthStudios: Y know if Knapford sheds came back I would LITERALLY LOVE THAT SO MUCH. I think Emily earned her spot in the sheds though and calling all engines definitely made a good move by specifically confirming that Emily was an official part of the core cast.
crikey_fell: Kick out everyone but Henry, Gordon, James and Emily, move them to their RWS positions.
Fan12Thomas: Thomas and Percy they should be on Ffarquhar Sheds.
kirkronan25: I'd chuck Edward to Wellsworth and I kinda like the idea of James having a shed all of his own, but I'm not sure about that.
Diesel20212: Thomas and Percy. I just can’t see them staying in Tidmouth when they already have their own sheds on their branchline.
TruckFan1996: Emily and Henry. I hate Emily and Mattel has made Henry wimpy.
WyattLoughrie: Well Thomas and Percy would have to live at Ffarquhar sheds with Toby and probably have Donald and Douglas take their places in Tidmouth Sheds.
SciFiCosplay99: Maybe have Thomas and Percy move back to Ffarquhar, perhaps add Toby and/or Nia. The Scots then move in. Also, show a shed where the Great Western Engines and the Scots live at some point, please show?
YBoi95: Honestly probably still Henry and Edward. Edward is too smart to be involved in the hive mind mentality of the Steam Team and Henry is just kind of there and doing very little. Honestly the two just don't really contribute enough to be worthy of being main characters.
gwr_fan: Part of me wants Thomas and Percy at Ffarquhar with Toby, Mavis, etc
Mechai94829484: For me it’s Thomas and Percy instead of sleeping in Tidmouth sheds they sleep in the sheds at the ffarquhar station with Toby and Henrietta just like in the railway books.
CementLord: Thomas and Percy, send them off to Ffarquhar.
TidmouthStudios: I’m not mad that Edward left due to the fact that he simply wasn’t offering anything consistently new to the franchise for some time at that point. He’s been outshined by the other core cast members since S5 and him being removed from said cast was inevitable. I’m happy they just did it in a nice and pleasant way and didn’t just suddenly have him leave. He at least got an episode showcasing his goodbye. Going off where he was going to be stationed makes more sense and serves as a sorta mentor for Philip like bill and Ben before him.
FantasticMrS3: I'd go with Emily and James. Then they could be given their own branch line to share, and it would open up more storytelling possibilities for them, especially Emily; God knows more could be done with her as a character.
TomtheSTL: Thomas and Percy, they don’t belong on the mainline or you know, besides the big 3 and Emily, not having a strict cast at Tidmouth, have it change a bit, hell the Brenner era did it on occasion.
HTGE3Prod: Hmm, Edward and Thomas. Both have their respective branchlines to run. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Salty, Bill and Ben are running Edward's line, and Mavis and Toby for Thomas' line.
Edwardandjamesp: Thomas, Percy and Edward. Thomas and Percy can go and sleep at Ffarquhar because that's where they work, and Edward could sleep at Wellsworth with Philip. And the ones to replace them would be Rebecca/Bear and the Scottish boys.
8Puffer: It would make more sense to put Thomas, Percy and Toby at Ffarquhar as it would help develop the three characters more and help build the relationship further.
ChaosDustSteam: I would actually pick three. Thomas, Percy, and Emily. Thomas and Percy would go to the Branchline Sheds, revealed in a new render for CGI. Emily would be moved either to Knapford Sheds or her own sheds, as I feel she is not a Main Line worthy engine.
BJG922: Hmm I would take out Thomas and Percy from Tidmouth and take them to Ffarquhar Sheds like how Edward went to Wellsworth, and keep Henry, Gordon, James and Emily at Tidmouth and allow Bear, Pip and Emma in Tidmouth.
ahmirallthings1: The answers obviously be Thomas and Percy. They lived in Ffarqhuar.
LNERA0X: If we wanted to apply this to all the engines really only Henry, Gordon, James, and Emily should be stationed at the main sheds. Decentralize the cast a bit.
JohnDarkblaze: Thomas, Percy, and Toby. My head canon is that they belong at Ffarquhar like they were before (also considering Arlesdale End hasn't been relevant for a while). As for Tidmoth Sheds itself, I'd leave Edward, James, Henry, and Gordon while adding Rosie, Stanley, and Molly.
TheThomasFan: Thomas and Percy, they’re supposed to be at Ffarquhar.
benbearce96: Toby and Emily because for Toby I just think he’s overrated as a character and Emily, well she can live at the shunting yards with Spencer Murdoch Arthur etc.
IvoryGreen456: Thomas and Percy. Because they were originally based at Ffarquhar they can easily go back.
SayCheeseBurgr: Emily and Edward, but Edward would still remain a main character, purely to line up with old continuity :p
sixteen_dnw: Edward to Wellsworth and Percy to Ffarquahar, they wouldn’t take Thomas away from Tidmouth.
EianHardy: I’d choose Thomas and Percy to go, as a way for them to be with Toby again in the branch line sheds.
TY_HAMMER_TIME: Its a tough one. I see a lot of thomas, percy, and Edward. But i think the "steam team" while still cool concept i think it hurt the series. Why not have a rotating cast of engines at Tidmouth Sheds per season. It would allow the writers to switch the engines in the shead and we wouldn't need to feel that Tidmouth Sheds = 100% steam team residences. Maybe then when Edward and Henry moved out it wouldn't have felt like such a blow or need explanation.
NWRGresley1942: Thomas and Percy because it would make sense that their work are closer to his branch line. Toby could also sleep at Ffarquhar with them. James because he destroyed the back of the sheds and Sir Topham would’ve strictly moved him out.
the_mega_derp: Move Thomas and Percy to Ffarquhar. It can have the same benefit as Edward moving to Wellsworth, since they’d be living on the line they work on. Whatever happened to them vibing in Ffarquhar sheds back in the day?
Jordan192692: I think Percy and Emily; To run the “new” Kirk Ronan branch-line. Thomas would miss both engines, but he would know it was for the best.
jaymeerkat520: It would be Thomas and Percy. Those characters have just become annoying now.
imnotveryfunny0: My take is Edward and Henry, yes, but don’t stick Nia there. Put her and her bland personality at Vicarstown. Put Rosie there with Rebecca, who knows the others but still has some well deserved fleshing out to be done.
HydesR01: Personally, I’d say Emily and Edward. Emily doesn’t really “click” with the originals, and I think Edward would be better suited at Wellsworth anyway. And in their spots, I’d say Rosie instead of Emily and Stanley in place of Edward.
Glover368: Emily and James, just send James back to his early RWS shed, and Emily can go back to Knapford.
RealMay_C: Emily and Henry, Emily is just a badly written character and Henry is just the stereotypical worrier and I'm really not a fan of that trope.
cgsmodelling: Let me say it loud enough so everyone can hear.... JUST ADD TWO MORE FUCKING BIRTHS. ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT.
SquidTrain2020: Thomas and James can simply fuck off. But instead of Nia, replace James with Rosie and Thomas with Rebecca.

MrDonald09: Since Series 22, what new change has annoyed you the MOST??
tttedrawings: Fantasy sequences and the intro/life lessons outro, they just make the episodes shorter, and most of the time aren't really needed at all.
MrDonald09: Ah yes unfortunately you can only have 4 options on Twitter polls, I’m sure the list would be huge if you could have more.
MasonDey1: To me the whole concept of the Steam Team is just pointless.
MrDonald09: Yeah it limits the characters that are used most of the time.
PSideplates: I voted for bouncing since it's closest to the general "kids show" tone that BWBA takes on. It really is like watching a show you put on for your 3 year old so you can leave the room in peace. It hurts to watch. If we were getting the Brenner era where the engines bounced, had ugly details, went worldwide, and got Nia and Rebecca, I'd be miffed but accept it. But BWBA just claims to be TTTE and acts like a generic preschool show. And I don't wanna be in a position where I'm an adult watching a preschool show.
MrDonald09: Agreed. I feel proud to be a fan when I watch classic era and Brenner era, but if it was like BWBA throughout the whole show I can tell you I would not be supporting it now.
TCKRangeltoon: I blame Chuggington.
PSideplates: I don't. Chuggington ended before they came up with BWBA. If anything, Chuggington made the market for train toys/shows competitive which forced HiT to make good Thomas products, well toys anyway.
ronniethe14xx: Honestly, disagree with the point it's the most general kids show tone. Travelling seems to be the new hip and cool thing to do in kids shows, I'd argue that makes it slightly worse then the bouncing because it's clear Thomas only jumped on that trend to be "hip".
JovanniChavez11: Faster pace and Thomas losing his identity. I don’t mind Thomas going on a trip but that wasn’t the way to handle it.
MrDonald09: Yes. IMO it should have stopped after the BWBA special, I think it should have only been a special.
Bostonthomasfan: Don’t really mind the bouncing but it can be over done at times. For around the world? I wish there were more episodes on Sodor and less around the world. Like 18-8 would be good.
MikeArc31375512: The bouncing. Loathe it with a passion.
ThomasTVNostal1: The thing I hate is constant arguing over opinions. Some people have been told to fuck themselves for disliking an episode of BWBA that the majority of the fandom likes and vice versa. This is unacceptable. As a fandom, we're a team and we help each other out.
ChillerB3: The forced feminism with Nia, Rebecca and the newer Steam Team really rubbed me the wrong way, more than hyper bouncing and worldwide shit did.
MrDonald09: Same, especially how the majority of the audience really doesn’t care about that, having more females, great! but don’t mess with many people’s childhood to make SJWs and toxic feminists happy cuz I guarantee you the people who wanted this change probably don’t even like the show.
ryanburges4472: I didn't read properly and the real thing since Series 22 that has annoyed me the most is the bouncing. I've been more bothered about the steam team without Henry (Just Henry). I'm happy with Edward sleeping at Wellsworth.
MrDonald09: Yeah, I completely agree honestly i’m not mad that Edward isn’t in the Steam Team anymore. It's Henry that annoys me the most.
ryanburges4472: I know! Gordon and James sleeping at Tidmouth without Henry. Edward is best at Wellsworth because he has a branch line which stars from Wellsworth.
CoolCar161: Henry and Edward stopped appearing as much anyway. They haven’t been good characters since series 4, even in the Brenner era they had little to no appearances due to writer's block. Rivets is a nice little detail that makes them seem more real, Thomas always wanted to see the world and the bouncing is hardly that bad.
TheBlueE21: Thomas' world tour. It's so inconsistent. Doesn't tie into the movie that hyped it up, never explains why or for how long Thomas is in each country, 1 ep he's in China, then Brazil etc then Sodor eps act as though he never left due to always being there. Plus most sets aren't great.
halfbakedhex8: For the record, I voted the 'rivets' option because the inclusion of the new detailing runs so counter to what the show is now, that trying to inflict reality onto the now-very-unreal engines feels very confused as to what the show is trying to achieve.
BluebellThEngin: The "bouncing" doesn't bother me much at first, but as time went on, it starts to get a little out of control and it kinda bugs me. I don't have a problem with the added details like the rivets, but they do look a little too big. Shrink them in size and they'll be okay. I'm mixed on Thomas travelling around the world if I'm being honest. The new Steam Team is what bugs me the most out of all of these options. I never liked it to begin with (minus my child self). It makes the other characters look useless. What I love about the Classic Series is we got lots of stories about almost each and every single one of them it makes the series interesting. But with the Steam Team, not only does it focus on the main characters so much, but it also brings them out of character. Especially if it's for the sake of the plots.
fan_ttte: The New Steam Team with Nia and Rebecca is what I don’t like most. I don’t mind the bouncing or rivets, Thomas going worldwide is okay. I don't know, I just feel like it would’ve been better if Nia and Rebecca did join, but also keep the others, for some interesting interactions and episodes.
islandofodor: If Thomas hadn’t gone worldwide, we’d probably still be in the Brenner era. Granted, it’d still be a slight step down but the international episodes barely take advantage of the different setting and opt to use generic plotlines that we’ve already seen on Sodor.
thesaddletank18: Bouncing, rivets and worldwide idea are bad but the new Steam Team is just....why was this done to the show?
Jacob34335638: I liked the new details, I’m mixed on the New Steam Team, and Thomas travelling the world. But the bouncing is what pisses me off the most, it literally makes the show look like Chuggington. The bouncing was at it’s worst in Journey Beyond Sodor and Thomas’ Magical Birthday Wishes.
TWR_Douglas_10: ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!!!!!
DFox1203: Is everything an option?
TheWinnerGuyCJP: Voted worldwide cuz it makes Thomas completely out of character.
SoupyGunzilla: I think a lot of the stories suffer from the shorter time. A lot of them could be better if they had more time.
kofi_milky: The bouncing, more sing alongs, replacing Edward and Henry with Nia and Rebecca. Even Thomas going worldwide. When the Rev. W. Awdry said "Here is your friend Thomas the Tank Engine. He wanted to come out of his station yard and see the world", the world that's he meant is Sodor.
sodordaily: Choosing New Steam Team because I miss the old SO MUCH!
peter_sam_no4: I think for me the bouncing as it’s so unrealistic . A 1 ton lump of metal can not swing all over the place like it has no weight.
Growlithemaste1: I hate the bouncing the most, but the rest are all useless too.
sixteen_dnw: Worst is the New Steam Team, then worldwide, then rivets, and then bouncing. TBH it doesn’t bother me too much.
BearsFlush: It annoys me that Thomas travels the world, as they remove chapters that might be focus on Sodor, and the locations and some engines are not represented correctly on the railroad.
VacentTest: I’m fine with the New Steam Team changing Edward and Henry out for Nia and Rebecca, I’ve always supported it in the beginning because increased feminism is good. Thomas going worldwide, that didn’t annoy me cause I was interested in that, the rivets is minor and nothing to worry about. But the bouncing, annoyed me the most at first but I’m used to it.
SnatchyBoi: The bouncing and the New Steam Team.
GWREngine: The New Steam Team is the most annoying change. It feels like Mattel doesn't care how special Edward, Henry, and Toby are. Plus we don't need to have more than 1 female main character. Emily being the only girl used to make her special. With Nia and Rebecca around, she isn't special anymore.
TurnTable2002: Chris Renshaw's music really annoys me.
MichaelfromNZ1: Bouncing, worldwide and New Steam Team. They represent how far Thomas has fallen since Mattel fully took over.
ArmchairRailway: New Steam Team.
TI4MGP: This is probably the hardest time I’ve had deciding on one of your polls lol. I went with the Steam Team though, but bouncing comes in a REALLY REALLY close second. The other two are less but equal with each other.
jack_bench: TBH, I'm fine with all of them? But I chose bouncing because the rivets are neat, world-tour - while it makes no sense - has a valuable goal (and is kinda fun), and the Steam Team really needed more female representation which we got with two positive role models in Nia and Rebecca. Bouncing is unnecessary, but not horrendous.
Holycro1Michael: Everything!
JosefSnowBall: Rivets was something I actually liked seeing on some engines. Bouncing is something I’m OK with, it’s kind of grown on me. New Steam Team sucks because it gets rid of the 2 best engines, Edward and Henry, and Thomas worldwide sounded like a bad idea to begin with.
TheThomasFan: Probably Thomas going worldwide . The animation is shit and it’s all just recoloured.
TheUnluckyTug: The new Steam Team. I think I'd be a little more accepting of BWBA if Edward and Henry weren't so transparently and obviously thrown to the side and treated as if they don't exist. It was like the biggest "fuck you" to fans ever.
MrDonald09: Yeah, not to mention Nia and Rebecca have such generic personalities they can barely hold a unique episode nowadays. I can understand Edward staying at Wellsworth but they did Henry DIRTY by slapping him at Vicarstown so he can focus on his Mainland duties yet not do any episode focused on this new job.
SteamEn83954980: Ok so ignoring Emily, it was a perfect 1-7 number of characters and now it's just 1, 18, 22, 4, 5, 6 and 12. Like I know it's minor but that fact gets under my skin.
DBlue02: I voted for the bouncing, but yeah, I kinda have to agree with Simon Martin’s opinion on the Steam Team concept, it’s long since overstayed its welcome. I’d prefer a nice balance of the main and side characters getting their share of the spotlight, like in the classic seasons.
TFan512: What if Edward, Henry, Nia and Rebecca were all part of the main cast.

BWBA Engine Roll Call discussion
Lightandcoal: The only thing I don't like is how Nia has Edward's lyrics. It just doesn't feel right, at all.
stegarcia118: Did they keep Toby's lyrics? He's not even on the promo nor part of the main cast. That's just mess up.
thestubbb: Oof when they get to the colors they really try to make Nia's orange and Rebecca's yellow fit into the rhythm.
EthanTheIdiot: What happens when Rebecca isn't the newest member anymore? They gonna do another reboot of a reboot of a reboot? Like Bob the Builder?
ilovetrains323: Yeah.. That's not right.. They couldn't have given her a different thing? Nia wants to help and share? So they're saying basically Nia is just a female Edward clone?
thomasytchannel: Thomas was nice while it lasted.
Thomas__Blue: Listening to this hurts my soul.
thismemeisded: Why do they hate James so goddamn much.
ThomasTheorist: Yellow and green, red, orange and blue is quite a mouthful. Also yeah, Rebecca is new at the moment but she will get old at some point. Why not say "She's shy and lots of fun"?
steamtrainboy55: I feel traumatized, not even Shed 17 is this messed up.
Plokman: To be honest "Edward wants to help and share" didn't do the wisest engine on Sodor at all in my opinion. A better one for Edward "Tries to teach and guide" or something similar would fit the engine who knew what "Deputation" meant and how to get a message across as a request.
mewbun: All of this feels wrong to me.
cthurston7: #BringBackThomas
That_Dude_03: Idk why but hearing James’ line not come after Thomas’ sounds weird.
daimos_z: I'd think Rebecca should have had Edward's lyrics tbh.
BobbySikorski2: This whole thing doesn’t feel right at all.
VacantTest: Agreed.
AshKetchum_135: And yet they still keep Toby here, despite treating him as a forgotten character like Edward and Henry have become.
BeattieWell: I find it odd they changed James' line, and moved him between Emily and Nia.
ThomasTheorist: Probably didn't want to put Rebecca and Nia together.
AshKetchum_135: Also Rebecca between Thomas and Percy? I'm pretty sure they changed James' line just to make him a total asshole.

HTJTMattTTTE: Honestly if you like Rebecca, more power to you, that's great, but this sentiment of "I like Rebecca more than I ever liked Henry," while valid, just makes me depressed to read. Henry has so much history and added so much. The big engines had one of the show's best dynamics.
jerome_spitza: I don't think she'll ever be better then Henry but if people like her more then they do and i don't see why that should bother me it's their opinion.
HTJTMattTTTE: It's a depressing notion to me because of what the intent is with Rebecca. The intent is to shoehorn her in against what Henry's position was, like it or not, she was brought in to keep Henry out of Tidmouth and write him out of the series. Even if they're 'happy' on screen, Henry's now meant to be forgotten. Even if they keep appearing, even if Henry got a line or two in, that's what their intent was with Nia and Rebecca - replacing Edward and Henry and writing them out of the series. Since to me Henry and Edward are characters I grew up with and have loved so much and for so long, I don't see how you can just drop them for flashiness & cuteness, which are clearly traits of Rebecca shown so far.
jerome_spitza: If Henry was meant to be forgotten then why does he still appear in the show?
CynicOnRails: Exactly this- no matter how much I may grow to like Nia and Rebecca, the fact they were only introduced to write Edward and Henry out of the main cast (and likely the series as a whole) will always leave a sour taste in my mouth. I still don’t see why Edward, Nia, Henry and Rebecca can’t just co-exist without any replacements occurring.
jerome_spitza: I can understand why you're upset about this but you shouldn't let people's opinions bother you.
HTJTMattTTTE: Well I'm not going to fan stoicism when this sort of thing comes up, because if I have a disagreement with that opinion I'm going to voice it if it matters enough to me. Henry & Edward mean a lot to me, and something that Nia & Rebecca will never replicate. That seems like a perfectly logical course of action to take, does it not? And I'm not saying you're saying I can't voice my opinions. I'm giving a counterargument to you saying I shouldn't so much as react to an opinion I would disagree with so strongly as to comment on. It's okay to react to opinions that bother you - it's action that matters.
SkarloeyRheneas: Even sadder for me is when people say “I never liked Edward anyway and I’m glad he’s not part of the steam team anymore. Like that just brings me down a lot. Edward is forgotten instantly thanks to his female replacement and that sucks.
the_pack_12: Okay, no offense to this guy but I'm fucking pissed. Watching the movie Nia is no different then half of the engines ever introduced. Fun and lovable are BASELINE character traits, if fun and lovable are all you need then that makes Stanley, Derek, Mavis, Charlie, Freddie, Ashima, and the experimental engines all was good as Nia.
Nick_HBS: I hate when people say “who cares if Henry isn’t a major character anymore, at least they didn’t kill him off like Awdry was going to” even though they should never have removed him from the cast in the first place. But no, they removed him and his replacement Rebecca ends up getting loved more than him.

I think the show should be more respectful toward its roots and the removal of not just Edward or Henry but also Gordon, James, Percy or Toby from the main cast would be and is very disrespectful to the original books by of all people a man who works for the church but at the same time the show should just be a "translation" of the books rather than a direct "transcription" as it may be. To anyone who dislike Nia and Rebecca I agree in regards to Nia but don't agree but understand in regards to Rebecca. Nia is a locomotive which in real life can't fit on UK standard gauge track it works for Hiro because standard gauge in the UK is similar to narrow gauge in Japan and also her place could've been taken by Ashima, Flora or my personal favourite Rosie since I ship her with Thomas I could count Lady but she seems too outlandish in my opinion. Another thing about how some fans hate Nia because of the whole Africa thing well think about it like this "What about Rosie or Flora or Ashima if there's a "gender imbalance" oh wait... its because they aren't black." For Rebecca, I'm kinda of mixed, if she turns out to be a feminist Mary Sue like Rey from Star Wars as the evidence provided seems to suggest no thanks, but I am hoping her personality turns out to be similar to two certain Bulleid Pacifics or a mix of the two I would be over the moon. However like Nia, Rebecca's place could've been taken by Molly or Caitlin. Why these aforementioned females, because they like Emily were introduced as side characters thus were able to build up a fanbase of their own, Rosie arguably has a fanbase that stretches outside the Thomas fanbase itself something only Thomas, James and Percy (three boys) have accomplished. By having Nia and Rebecca introduced as main characters from the get-go and replace Edward and Henry, it has become more difficult than it was for Emily to build a fanbase of their own up. The second thing I want to cover is the pacing and overstimulation, Thomas is popular with autistic individuals because unlike other children's shows it's slow and relaxing even Season 5 wasn't that fast paced. The humour is very unlike Thomas and anyone would thinks that this is okay in Thomas just don't care about children in general because toilet humour is lazy and in the long run could be damaging to children as Zainereborn said "Do you know what else reduced to butt humour and that's the reason why its so bad now? Teen Titans Go!".  The last thing I want to talk about is as you said it Matt general stupidity, yes this is a show that will be teaching children but as Indian Valley Railroad Studios or 1995express puts it the best way to learn is through experience what the RWS books did to teach was to "talk" to their rational thinking rather than at them one of the reasons why I dislike BWBA because they're going to be talk at the audience rather than to their rational thinking. The biggest gripe I have with BWBA is the reason why Thomas wants to go around the world which is basically because a character named Ace tells Thomas about what he's seen around the world and as a result Thomas wants to go on a round to world adventure. For anyone let along a steam locomotive travelling around the world was and STILL IS a huge ambition one needs a strong, specific and most of all valid reason to do so just wanting to travel around the world is none of those things its just wishing. Oh and I just remembered, why should there even be a Steam Team in the first place, Thomas and Friends was so worth investing into because Thomas was the main character "IN NAME ONLY."

I still do hate the Steam Team's overhaul by Mattel... the lineup of Thomas, Gordon, James, Percy and Emily plus two SJW feminist hires named Nia and Rebecca just ruins the whole group.

Edward & Henry - The most hated characters?
Yes, it’s another Thomas & Friends theory, and this one comes in response to an article posted on the official site about the upcoming reboot Big World! Big Adventures! which as we know, has axed the well-loved Edward and Henry from the main cast to make way for new female engines Nia and Rebecca.
So, with all this and the fact they tended to get less focus than other main characters has prompted me to do this theory. Are Edward and Henry truly hated by the writers and all the higher-ups who work on the modern series? The reason I figured to bring this theory up is that the fans are looking at likely evidence that this is the case.
First piece of evidence is merchandise sales. Mattel have claimed that one reason why Edward and Henry are getting axed is due to them being the worst-selling major characters, and I personally would disagree because they tend to get good-looking models in most of the toy lines. But I can see where that claim may come from, and let’s look at the two personally.
Edward, the #2 engine of the group is another blue engine, with the same colour scheme as Thomas and Gordon. This is where his problem likely comes in, Edward isn’t the small kid like Thomas or the stern big guy like Gordon, and I’m also guessing his wise old guy persona is unappealing to modern kids. So basically, he’s cursed by just being “there” while Thomas and Gordon hog up the screentime.
And then there’s of course the green #3 himself, Henry. He was a character that had quite a story to him, in that Rev. W. Awdry had a disdain for him when he was writing the Railway Series. Awdry got annoyed at an illustrator who drew Henry inconsistently, which made Awdry attempt to write out the character entirely. However, Awdry eventually settled on giving Henry a major redesign and a character development arc dedicated to it. Sadly, the TV series hasn’t given Henry much fair treatment either, such as turning him into a worrisome character who seems to be scared of everything. However, I think the real reason the writers have a disdain towards him was because Henry didn’t really have an established personality from the start, he had arrogant and vain personality traits like James and Gordon, though on the more cynical side, but he also had a kind and soft side like Edward. Another issue is that in the TVS the differences between his original design and his current design are more minor compared to the Railway Series. The only noticeable changes are the shape of his firebox and his current design having green splashers attached under his face. So basically, Mattel probably view him as just a green Gordon clone. For a better view on why Henry might be hated by the writers, here’s a video by a YouTuber named Rob The Green Engine where he does believe this as well.
While Mattel’s reason for axing the two engines was because they wanted to even out the gender quota in the main cast and promote political correctness (since Nia is basically a token black character, cause you know Africa is full of black people), I feel the real reason is because they just don’t know how to handle them properly compared to Thomas, Percy, James, Gordon and Emily. Basically, ever since Hit took over in the 2000′s, Edward and Henry have been shoved into the background more than the others. Only Seasons 1-5 treated them fairly, in that they had a lot of focus episodes in the first two seasons - Henry with five focus episodes in Season 1 and Edward having six in Season 2. Granted, those first two seasons were mostly adapted directly from Railway Series stories, but you can get the point.
The majority of long-time fans and even parents all hate Nia and Rebecca, not just because of their off-putting designs and for being shoehorned into the main cast with no proper buildup, but because they replaced two of Awdry’s first characters, so the new girls are basically cursed from the start as probably being unaccepted by the audience, much like Bliss in The Powerpuff Girls 2016 who was also probably designed for political correctness and promoting people of colour. It’s also a move similar to Marvel Comics changing Tony Stark/Iron Man into a black woman, and other politically correct changes caused the comic sales to fall, so don’t be surprised if BWBA’s ratings turn out in very low numbers. Mattel claims that Edward and Henry will still play “heavy roles” when the cast changes, but in reality they are most likely going to be too lazy to use them, hence the two engines having a very high chance of disappearing completely.
So, does Mattel hate Edward and Henry? Most definitely. If another company does buy Thomas out, I hope they treat these two fairly and bring them back to the main cast.
