find the word tag CCCVI
I need to go to bed since I'm back to getting up at six tomorrow, but I am, unfortunately, awake. so I guess I'll do a tag. why not. also there is some animal outside shuffling around. @woodhousejay @talesofsorrowandofruin
shade (dirt in the doing, 2022)
“I don’t have housing right now.”
Jet pauses in stuffing his backpack to watch how Shadow’s face crosses from one shade of misery to the next. He still can’t tell what each of them mean, but he sees that they’re different. “Did you ask Moss if you could stay at the garage?”
“I don’t want to stay there. It’s big.”
heavy (meta-portal, 2021)
“Hyunjae!” Changmin interrupts, because he is an interrupter. He’s smiling very brightly. “We have need of your services.” Hyunjae looks around for a chair. Jisung coaxed Yeonjun onto his lap so Hyunjae has somewhere to sit. “Aren’t I heavy?” Yeonjun whispers. Jisung snorts. “You weigh as much as two heads of lettuce and cucumber. You’re fine.”
small (youth story supplemental)
It was a well-known fact that Nyks had comically small hands.
“Comically? They’re just not giant hands, like R’s.” Nyks pouting as he clenched his fists tighter, all too aware that the action only highlighted what he was protesting.
R held out his own hands for inspection, then pulled at one of Nyks’ to compare. “They’re not giant. Yours are just baby hands.”
warm (dreams, whispers, fireflies, 2017)
you are a leaf fall in autumn you are a wind down the mountain you are a heartache and you are a pretty pain
you are a warm fireplace you are affectionate nicknames you are a ship and you are an airplane
calm (the pause that we call a season, 2020)
people said the silence was a spell cast by dragons their wings dip behind the clouds and cover the sun we dare not speak lest we tempt them to sing and in so doing, end the winter while the water is burning people said the calm was a boon of anticipation but I think, actually, we are just dying
garden (paper hearts, 2015)
We might be unconventional But love, this is our fate We carve it from the tree trunks When we're leaving the garden gate All the roses and the breathless nights Running around in the rain If given the chance to go back Oh darling, I'd do it all the same
older (youth story d0)
Nyks wasn’t scared of Evie, but he was not very fond of how she stared at him like she saw through him. And not because he was see-through, either. “You’re joking.”
“Smart kid.”
“I’m older than you,” he mumbled. Evie acted like she didn’t hear him. “Did Daniel suggest the ‘in love’ thing?”
The corner of Evie’s eyes creased ever so slightly.
Nyks nodded into his noodles. “I’ll tell him to prepare for death.”
“Please. Slight maiming at the most.”

Tumblr media
One of the strangest things about love is that it will make you feel rooted one moment, then wavered by the next; all by the person whom you treated like your resting place — only for them to be tired of you in their next waking day. In Jungwon’s case, he didn’t feel threatened by the marquess’ efforts to acquire his girl. Despite Y/n’s plead to stop the unlabeled thing going on between them, Jungwon refused to feel daunted. So he did what he does best: expressing his sentiments in the form of written words— the language of the unsaid.
The night Y/n ended things between them, Jungwon made a quick stop to their library to write down a few of the many things she did to him on the daily; it contained some of the uncountable things he wanted to say to her if she’d only listened. He poured out his heart, writing to the best of his ability with all the love and warmth she deserved, hoping his adoration would reach her if it wasn’t too late yet.
Crumpling away various parchments and scratching several more, he finally had it neatly tucked in between the pages of their favorite Jane Austen book she threw at him weeks prior. Before leaving the said book upon the large, round table in the center of the room, Jungwon topped it off with a little quote, once again, peeking from the worn-out cover of the antique novel.
“I will go if you need me to go, but bear in mind that I don’t want to leave. I have no other homeland but you. So I will patiently sit in the corner of your heart and wait for our time.”
If it weren’t for Jay’s knowledge about his friend’s almost parting gift, Y/n wouldn’t be rushing down their manor’s library with an eager yet tormented heart the day after. She immediately clasped the book, the repertoire of their precious memories and Jungwon’s poetic affection, the instant she saw it lying on the surface of her late father’s desk.
Y/n pulled out the tiny parchment with Jungwon’s last quote, putting down the book back on the wooden desk. She carefully muttered each word as if it was an ode, constantly bouncing in her mind back and forth.
Her heart found a bit of relief behind his written words, yet she still found it vague that he couldn’t face her and tell her himself. Y/n picked the book again and as she flicked through the pages, a small, handwritten envelope caught her attention. Her heart began to thump.
She gently tore the envelope open only to be welcomed by several folded papers brimming at the edge of the torn covering. Jungwon got her used to the underlined phrases and pieces of quotes, and almost nothing from Jungwon’s heart itself. And now suddenly, all the letters were about her, from the depths of her lover’s affection.
“Be still, my heart.” She whispered under her shaky breath.
My dearest Y/n,
We made quite a mess, don’t you think? Or rather, I did.
When I didn’t react to your efforts of reaching out,
I'm sure you thought I'd gone on or despised you.
I bet it never ever occurred to you that I just couldn’t
bring myself to say "hello" and risk another goodbye.
You wore your best dress that day we departed,
and you were there to watch me leave.
And all the times you let me in just for me to screw things up and leave again.
I’ve been trying to undo what I did to you by making amends.
I’m trying so hard, believe me.
Everything I said in the past and the phrases I underlined in attempts to confess to you,
They were all true.
I cannot stop thinking of you, my thoughts of you never end.
They’re so loud they prevent me from sleeping at night.
I’ve been restlessly rehearsing the words I’d tell you if time didn’t forbid.
But unfortunately, it appears that my time in your heart is up.
Truth be told, we were something, don’t you think?
I cannot shrug away the thought that we were nothing when
I could feel your calm breath against my heaving chest,
It felt like you were meant to reside there, in the warmth of my embrace.
I’m afraid I couldn’t bear myself to write more of these.
They don’t deserve to be kept in any longer.
If you still wish to talk to me and hear me out before giving your hand away,
Meet me in the Queen’s Garden at dusk tomorrow.
Jay has agreed to chaperone you there,
But he must leave us to ourselves when we reach the Catalpa tree.
Until then, I will remain in the state of waiting, for the last time.
— Forever yours, Jungwon
Tumblr media
The awaited dusk came upon, and it was a shocker for Y/n that she rejected Sunghoon’s plea to spend the day together over an impulsive meeting with Jungwon. Jay helped lift his sister from the horse, firmly securing his grip on her corseted waist. Her heart was in a weary state; she feared it would be a cycle again of Jungwon acting out his affection and leaving her hanging when their moment’s up. She couldn’t trust him fully anymore, knowing he had recklessly wasted so much borrowed time and promises.
“Are you sure you’ll be fine? I can stay by the gazebo and wait for you.”
“It’s alright, Jay. Didn’t he promise you that he’d send me home? Ride safe, brother!”
Jay walked closer to her and draped his arm around her shoulder, planting a long, soft kiss on the crown of her head. “See you at home, sis.”
Y/n heaved a deep breath before taking baby steps towards the Catalpa tree where Jungwon had been lounging hours prior. With a heavy heart and romantic complications in mind, she stood in front of the lover she forced herself to detest; eyes never leaving his.
But Jungwon, being easily distracted by her tantalizing eyes, quickly averted his gaze to the grass he had been standing on. His confident stance stripped away though he mustered the courage to look at the beautiful pair, as the object of his affection gradually approached him.
“Why didn’t you come and talk to me yourself?”
“Would you have listened?” Y/n ran out of retorts as she was guilty enough, cutting Jungwon’s explanations that night in their garden.
The boy drew closer to her, softly lifting her resting hand to interlock it with his. “Y/n…” only to be shrugged away by the maiden.
“You must have gone crazy, coming here like this. Tell me, are you that desperate to impel your pride-”
“This is not about my pride! I-” Jungwon ran a hand through his hair as he let out a frustrated sigh, realizing what he just did. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to raise my voice. It upsets me to know that you still think this is all for my ego, supposing you’ve read the letters I left you.”
“So you’ve been living in denial all these years?”
“I never meant to come between you and him.”
“Yet here we are. Someone’s caught in the middle, and it’s definitely not you, Jung.” The boy stared down at his worn-out boots, million-dollar thoughts running through his mind, yet he couldn’t find the ones he needed to say.
“Do you want me to start it off for you?” Y/n crossed her arms, trying her best to compose a cold approach to Jungwon, although the chap’s been looking unkempt like he hasn’t slept for days in every passing minute of their imminent bickering.
“Haven’t you gotten the letters?”
“I did.”
“Is there anything you want to say about it?” Y/n scoffed at the timid boy who was shattered by the lady’s callousness.
“You asked me to come here, Jungwon! All this time you’ve said nothing but a few words to me. Are you even serious right now?” She half-yelled in frustration.
“I’m trying to prevent myself from saying the wrong things.”
“You’ve barely been able to look me in the eye!”
“For the reason that I cannot bear witness to the misery I’ve caused you!”
Y/n gulped when she saw a tear grazing down Jungwon’s dimpled cheek. It was the first time she’d seen him cry in a long time, the last one being the day he left her for university five years ago.
“It pains me,” he stammered, breaths shaky as tears kept dripping down the grassy lawn. “It pains me to know that I’ve yet again, caused you another heartache. If there was anything I could do to bring back the hands of time, I would. I would do it in a heartbeat. If I could go back to when we were thirteen, on the exact day I left you for London, I would vow to you then and there that I will spend every lifetime with you when I get back.” Jungwon went on and on, eyes now fixated upon her sparkling orbs that reflected the full moon above them.
“But I was a stubborn, scared, idle bloke who’s now deserving of punishment. It’s long overdue, but I still think I deserve this, and I’m sorry. I’m tremendously sorry that it took your beautiful marquess to be caught in the middle of our mess for me to realize that you were my all and more. You are my all and more, Y/n. I couldn’t bear this any longer. My feelings will not be silenced this time, and I must let you hear of how I truly, madly, and deeply love you now more than ever. I’d hate myself for eternity if it came to the conclusion of having to lose the one real thing I’ve ever hoped for in this lifetime. If the mighty heavens don’t forbid us to love again, I swear I’d love you right.”
“Why are you telling me this now? You had all the chances, Jung. Why did it have to be in the most unsuitable moment where Mother and the Duke are preparing for the imminent wedding?!”
“Sometimes you don’t fully know the answer until someone’s breaking badly in front of you. I’m sorry, Y/n. But I’m here now, in all my glory, swallowing my pride, and laying my armor down if you choose to rather love than fight.”
Jungwon approached her. Too close until an inch of distance was left between them. His eyes had been watering with tears the entire time he was rambling his feelings, but he wiped her glistening tears away instead, bearing in mind that he’s making up for lost times. His face was mere inches away from hers, breaths fanning against each other as Y/n sniffs lightly with Jungwon’s nose bumping against hers.
“I love you, Y/n. My longing for you aches like piled-up bricks pushed against my chest, as my love for you burns, heavily and passionately, like a thousand suns set ablaze right before our very eyes. My heart is, and always will be, yours. You’ve imparted me this quote once from a book you found scattered around my room. ‘Only the deepest love will persuade me into matrimony’ and I had carved it into the depths of my soul, putting myself under the commitment of being worthy of your choice. I grew confident because I know you love me truly more than him.”
Jungwon raised her flimsy hand and kissed it with much intent before placing it around his shoulders and having his hand rest on the small of her back. With his other hand hanging freely to his side, he lifted it up to graze his gentle fingers upon the lady’s soft cheek, carefully taking in her satisfied reaction to his touch as she kept her eyes closed and her lips parted. Jungwon pulled her chin up with his forefinger, his thumb softly pinching it in the aftermath. He brushes his nose against hers, bathing in each other’s warmth and shy touches, bodies electric.
“Marry me.”
Y/n shoots a concerned look at Jungwon, “but what about Lady Choi? I thought you two-”
“No one else could make me the happiest man in this world, Y/n, no one but you.” Jungwon wasted no time and crashed his lips against hers. First, and long-awaited kisses are finally shared under the illuminating beam of the fullest moon of the year. The gent tilts his head to the side, gaining more access to the lady’s lips as Y/n heaves a deep breath, slowly taking in his upper lip within hers.
He pulls away mere seconds after to get some oxygen into his system while taking the opportunity to continue his unrehearsed proposal. “My heart will only rest in yours. Marry me, Y/n, will you?”
The lady buried her face against his chest that was clad in blue, velvety frock coat adorned with gold embroidery upon its hems. She sniffed his immaculate scent in before letting out muffled whispers. “Give me time to reflect on it. Only then will I give you my answer.”
“Time, of course. As much as you need, my love.” Jungwon gave her a quick and final kiss on the lips before freeing her from his embrace. “I must get you home now. Your mother would be frantic if she knew you were frolicking around with me while she worries about your wedding plans with Sunghoon.”
“Don’t say that. He hasn’t proposed to me yet.”
“But when he does, I’m certain your mother won’t pass up the chance.”
Y/n kissed him back. Fleeting, but full of love. “It’s me who’s getting married, Jung, not her.”
“I love you.”
“You’ve said it already.”
“I will say it again if I have to.” Y/n chuckles lightly, feeling relieved now that Jungwon has trampled down the barriers preventing them from transparency.
The gent lifts her up to his white horse before following after. He instantly took hold of her hands and had them wrapped around his small waist. “Hold on tight. We’re past my promised hour so I’m going to have to speed up, okay?” Y/n didn’t say anything, instead, she hugged Jungwon tightly by the waist and snurfled her cheek against his back. It was enough affirmation for him, so he yanked the thick rope, revving his horse on the cobblestones on their way home.

Did somebody say that LemonCheeseQuake (that's my other ship name for Dankesy) needed more chapters?!?
Well how about going and reading someone else's fic as well, before or after this one? This fic here is super cute and if you liked my pairing from the first chapter then you'll love theirs because they are so much better of a writer than me lol.
Men out of Time Chapter 2
“We’re not going to be in your band,” Daisy said, as Deke clasped her hands.
“Please, please, please, Daisy. I’d love you forever and ever,” Deke pleaded
“I thought that that was already guaranteed.”
“Okay, it is. But it would be really nice if you did this one thing for me.”
“I think your band could use a new name,” Sousa said, sitting back and watching the argument unfold.
“Yes, actually, I agree with you. I was thinking of calling it, The D Squad.” Deke dropped Daisy’s hands and framed the new name in the air with his hands. Daniel snorted.
“That’s worse than the Deke Squad, somehow,” Daisy said.
“No, it’s not actually, because we all have names that start with D.”
“So I can’t be in your band?” Kora asked, standing in the doorway.
“Oh, you totally can! I was just thinking, at first, that it could be a kind of throuple thing at first. But you can totally join, Kora, if you want to.”
“Too late, I’m over it. You lost your chance at a drummer, sorry, Deke.” Kora laughed and walked away.
“Danny?” Deke asked, trying his best to make a puppy dog face. But he looked like a puppy dog half of the time so it didn’t really have any special effect on Sousa. It was still a cute face, though.
“Can you have a band with just two people?” Daniel asked.
“Twenty one pilots did it,” Daisy muttered.
“Who?” Sousa asked.
“Why would you need that many pilots?” Kora asked from another part of the ship.
Daisy opened her mouth to explain and then immediately closed it. It was not a worthy hill to die on. She could introduce them to the band later.
“Will you be in my band, Danny?” Deke asked, wrapping his arm around Sousa’s shoulders and trying to make him see the vision of it.
“I don’t know. I'd need to see you perform." Deke absolutely lit up, nodding to himself.
"Don't encourage him," Daisy said.
"Aww, look at him, Daisy," Sousa said, wrapping an arm around her waist as Deke darted off to find his speaker, "he's so happy. His band makes him happy, maybe we should do this with him." Daniel loved his partners, he saw the best in them and wanted to see them smile.
Self-sacrifice was a big turn on for Daniel Sousa. He'd quickly learned that Daisy was radiant and powerful and didn't give up on people or problems. She especially didn't give up on family. He'd learned, in the first moment that he'd started falling for Deke, that Deke didn't give up on family either. He was ready to sacrifice himself for everyone at a moment's notice. And Sousa had seen how the team sometimes treated Deke like he was lesser, an occasional nuisance, when Deke had only ever wanted to fit in with them and help them. There was a moment of regret, of genuine loss that surged up in Daniel's chest when Deke insisted that he stay behind. He didn't know yet that he loved Deke the way he loved Daisy, he didn't know he loved men in that way at all, but he did believe that Deke deserved better, deserved more. And Daisy clearly believed it too.
She grabbed his hand, "Deke, Sousa, neither of you are staying behind. I won't let you. We might not all be able to be together after this mission but we're all making it home. You're part of this family, Deke. And we don't leave family behind."
"If you show us what to do we can do it," Agent Hand told Deke, and they quickly set to work.
Sousa never forgot that night. The way Deke was so quick to give himself up for his family, and how quickly Daisy was to assure him that family didn't get left behind. He remembered how Deke had said that he just wanted Daisy and Sousa to be happy, and how at that moment Daniel had wanted the very same for him.
And when they made it back, there were the three of them, struggling to make sense of the world they lived in now. Daniel and Deke were two men torn out of time, given second chances, given a family. Daisy was a literal superhero who knew that her family would never be fully together ever again. But she had saved them. They had saved each other, and now they were all trying to figure out what to do next. They seemed linked together, three people who had decided they weren’t going to give up on each other, three people who just wanted to see each other be happy.
Daisy didn’t remember whose idea it had been that all three of them start dating. It had felt like a lightning strike of enlightenment that had hit them all at once. Her boys made her laugh, made her feel important, made her feel like she could do anything. They would do the impossible for each other and for her. She was pretty sure it was Deke first, who had admitted that he had a little crush on Daniel as well as Daisy. Daisy remembered the way Daniel’s face had flared up in a blush, a flustered look he’d only ever had with her, as he was the king of appearing calm at everything other than love.
They were quick to fall like dominos after that. They were a family, and they loved each other. They loved each other almost enough to join Deke’s band. Almost. For now, Daisy and Daniel would sit back and watch him sing, for now, they would all think about how lucky they were to have not given up on each other.

This is the story of my time with the girl in my last post.
She had the worst life I think anyone could have but she still hoped and smiled. Man, she could dream up anything and loved to make jokes. I loved to hear her sing and we would sing together on the bus going home from school.
She was raped when she was very young, she didn't tell me by who, but it hurt her to talk about it. People used her for sex and it was awful how she was treated by 'boyfriends' and 'significant' others. But she told me that one time she had met someone at a old school and he never laid a hand on her. They loved each other but she left sooner than she thought.
She ended up at my hellhole school and was raped again and the same things happened. I met her the second day on the school bus and she was acting like a dumbass on the bus and was put in the second seat up front. Before she got seated up front I asked her name but she told me to mind my own business. I called the bus driver a bitch and my friend, not a friend at the time, snitched on me. I ended up sitting beside her. We talked and became fast friends. I finally found out her name, Mersadies. She had long, straight brown hair. It was like dark chocolate and her eyes were the exact same. She was so, so beautiful. I felt so happy at that moment. Now I look back and I have a video on my phone of that moment. Me and my friend, Daniel, looked at that video and cried. Daniel was one of her ex's and he loved her too. Hell, everyone of our friends loved her.
I was getting bullied a lot and kids put notes in my locker telling me to go and kill myself. She found out and watched my locker and somehow the notes stopped. She told me that my life mattered no matter what anyone else told me.
After that we spent a lot more time than usual. We had only one class but we had break and lunch too. At gym we would get into all sorts of chaos together. She had severe depression and traumatic attacks (I don't know the exact words but it's different from a panic/anxiety attack). She would end up cutting herself and one time she did that in the corner of the gym. No one else really cared but I ran and took away the plastic form she was using. I ran to throw it away but when I came back she was gone. I looked and she was underneath the bleachers in the tiniest crevice. She asked me if I told on her and I told her I would never say anything unless she wanted me too.
As I look back now, I wonder if anything would have changed if I had.
I fell in love with her soon after that. I don't know why but it just happened. She found out and she got two of our friends to kidnap me and throw me into the lobby of the gym. She was going to kiss me but I chickened out. She said that was okay but we held hands in the bus going home.
I'd go back and change that memory.
We all knew she was getting severely bullied and after our attempts to stop it, it didn't. We was the social outcasts. We didn't participate in sports, the popular class or even try to be popular. We was and still are our own type of losers. Our vice principal is the biggest douchebag and sat there when we asked him to do something about it. He put me in ISS for trying to take up for her.
One day we skipped classes together and decided to sit outside on the concrete bleachers. I live in a small town in Alabama and around the time of year it was, the sun was setting around five-ish. So, at three the sunlight was the prettiest. We just sat there and talked about the stupidest things.
I would ask her a question about herself, like her favorite colour, she would reply red. Shed ask another and it would go on. It was like the 20 questions game but neverending. One day we sat there, it was just before winter break and it was cold enough to see our breath. She told me that she didn't want to be alone forever and wished that someone would love her. I just blurted out like an idiot that I would marry her of she ever got lonely. She laughed and smiled. I felt so awkward but relieved when she said that she'd love to be my bride. Then we just sat there and talked like we always did. A few days after that was winter break so we didn't talk much until after New year's.
After that we went back to school.y mom had bought me a flannel red coat. Coincidentally her mom bought one exactly like it and occasionally we would switch it. I ended up with hers and she had mine. Her mom had also bought her three wavy rings. One was really big and the other two were smaller and when you put them together they fit. It was really cool and we skipped classes again to go to our usual spot.
We had our matching jackets and she turned and asked me to marry her. She was joking and said that I should make what I said a promise. She gave me the bigger ring and she wore the two smaller rings. After that we ran to our classes.
One day I was hanging out with my friend around a concrete barrier in front of my house. I love right by the highway too so I see most of the traffic. It was a hour and a half after school and I saw her walking home. Now her house was at the far end of town and it was a two miles. Her mom ended up calling the police and she was though to have run away. In actually she ended up hanging out with my friend Daniel and forgot about time. I called her to my spot and we were talking. The police showed up and I hid her behind the concrete wall in a pile of rocks. My friend and I both lied and they left. We got her home as soon as we could. She thanked me and I wished I could have taken her home.
A couple months passed and it was great. Though as we know, all good things must come to an end. She was going to be homeschooled because of her being bullied. Her last day she gave me her two rings, a kiss on the cheek, and told me that she'll never forget me.
I lived the rest of my year like and idiot and failed 7th grade. I took it as a chance and got homeschooled too. I didn't forget her or any of my friends. I was gone for a year.
Most of my friends turned on her and called her name's behind her back. At an event called Beach Reach, where we help the community and talk about Jesus Christ, we found out she had taken her life. That day they talked all sorts of crap about her. I still loved her and I never intended to say anything. Daniel and a few others said nothing either.
I never cried so much in my life.
I still cry.
It been a year and a half. I still have the rings, I still have the red flannel jacket. Dyllen has a note from her calling him sexy. Daniel has a letter with a lipstick kiss on it. All of us have something to help is cope and remember it. After all, we all loved her. I loved her more than I loved all of my friends.
I hope that one day that when I die that I'll be able to see her again and we'll talk like we did on the concrete bleachers.
Peace out
