So I finished Voltron (spoilers obviously)

I loved it. I loved it so much it hurts.

It was so much better than I thought it'd be and I have a LOT to say, and I need to vent so look under the cut if you want my thoughts (plug your ears, I scream a lot)

This has been a long ride but I absolutely did NOT want it to end. I know a lot of people don't like the later seasons and have mixed feelings but.....idk *shrug

I liked it haha

I liked the simplicity of the earlier seasons and all the cool weavings of the story, but I didn't dislike the later seasons. I love all of it. Every second of this show was just so wonderful.

Also don't go off on me but.....I do in fact live for Lance and Alura. There's not a ship I don't like, but I liked Lance and Alura together a lot. It was sweet and I don't really care if it was half-baked. I ate it up anyway. (XD)

OK NOW IM GONNA TALK ABOUT KEITH FOR A LONG TIME

I loved their dynamic at the beginning, and then it just got better and better and better. I loved that they had a silent understanding like "ok if something happens to me, literally everything is going to fall to you."

I also LOVED that Keith was part Galra. Wasn't expecting that. I also liked that it took everyone some time to like....figure out what to do about that.

Keith and Shiro's fight hurt my soul so bad.

I love Crolia. Mama Crolia and Keith.

AND THE WOLFIE AHHHHHH. Keith being a cinnamon bun for his wolf gives me LIFE. ALICJSNSKKC

That akdjdbns episode where he joins the blades had me dying like DONT TOUCH HIM YA LUNATICS LEAVE MY SON ALONE.

Actually the Blades of Marmora were one of my favorite parts of the show. A rebel organization of Galra working under the radar to protect and preserve the galaxy. Their armor is amazing, their development after Keith joined, his whole part in it, Crolia. Everything. Not to me too the blades themselves are really awesome looking like it was so much fun and it really added to the story.

I loved all his deadpanned one liners. I loved his journey with the blades. I loved his adventure with his mom. I love that he stepped up even though he didn't want it. I just heckin love Keith. He grew so much during the show and I just adore our little lone wolf.

Ok now I'm gonna talk about Lance

I loved him at the start, and I loved him more and more and then I exploded.

Sharpshooter Lance MY BELOVED. Ohhhh I am such a sucker for "I finally proved myself and earned respect" in stories. Like YAS KING BE THE GUNSLINGING PALADIN YOU WERE MEANT TO BE LETS FREAKING GOOOOOO.

Seriously. I adore him. And his little Altean marks at the end AHHHHHH *nearly weeps

I want to hug him so bad it's not even funny. He did such a great job and he is so good and *holds gently

TIME FOR PIDGE

PIDGE pidge pidge. I adore her. 18/10 would give a piggy back ride to. Ok so Voltron made me emotional a few times, but Pidge is the one that always gets me. When she was searching for Matt, and she arrived at the memorial and then sobbed be aide she thought he was dead I legitimately sobbed. Like we are talking tears streaming down my fave, heart audibly breaking because oh darling I felt it.

I have older brothers. One of which, is named Matt. I would go to the ends of the universe for them and watching Pidge go so far, achieving impossible things to find him, only to find out she failed and he died all alone out in space. That. Hurt. Oh my gosh. I love Pidge so much. I love watching her fight and I loved her relationship with the Olkari. That was so cool. She is so much fun to watch on screen, and she just added so much to the show. <3

HUNK MY LOVE

First of all, thank you Keith for recognizing how important Hunk is because MANS IS UNDERRATED. He kept the group together. He legitimately kept the group together. Also, my least favorite season was probably season 7? Anyways. The thing I LIKED about that season was that Hunk didn't get what the others did. They finally land on Earth and he finds out the Galra has his family. His little chat with Keith was great. And it's true, he just brought Life to the team. I loved in the first season how much he cared about Shea and the Balmerans. He knows they need his help, and he promised so he followed through. Love my sweet boy.

ALURA MY SWEET GIRL

Oh she has been through it hasn't she? I don't really know what to say about Alura other than....she is my friend :) whenever she is around it's just nice. I love that she got to pilot the blue lion and she just lit up the whole show. As much as the ending hurt me, it felt right. I wish it could've worked out better, but her sacrifice meant a lot, and I love her for it. Thanks for everything Alura *hugs her and cries

Anyways.

This show was phenomenal and I am going to miss it. It had such a great story and such fantastic characters. It's a show that's like your friend. Voltron is my friend haha.

I have a lot more to say about this, but I think I'll just wrap it up here. If you ever wanna talk Voltron or send me cool stuff about it please do. I'm here for it, and I will probably always be.

alrighty I've finished the king of scars+rule of wolves duo annnnnd i have some thoughts. lots of spoilers and im on mobile so idk how to do the read more thing on here. also this is the first time i am reading this duo.

- first of all, boring. not a fan of this duo, skimmed a LOT of it

- second, DRAGON. and like, a real one this time,and it's my queen zoya???

- also QUEEN ZIYA LET'S GOOOOOO

- tbh king of scars was really depressing for me and then rule of wolves just got worse. my favorite part was when they were in ketterdam and we got to see a Mr Kaz brekker back at it. and the last line of rules of wolves 😭 so at least we know what SOC 3 is prolly gonna be about.

- the darkling coming back was so.....meh. and making him a martyr was also meh. just meh meh meh. like, we killed him! let the villain stay dead!!!

- okay something that bugged me in Nina's story was how like okay yeah, they're making the grisha girls/women pregnant and injecting them w parem but not once did they go into detail abt how they were getting pregnant??? i get that we were prolly supposed to infer how, but it's still and atrocious thing that I wish was acknowledged at lieray any point.

- like that there was a trans character, kinda wish they'd made him more than just literally matthias 2.0 and is only there for Nina's progression which was... frustrating

- also Nina's characterization seemed kind of garbo, i get that she's grieving and even before matthuas's death she was a take risks type of person, but one of my favourite things about the crows is yeah they do these astonishingly crazy things but if it doesn't go wrong there are consequences but w Nina in this duo, there just.... aren't???

- i did appreciate the closure nikolai got w his father, i think he needed that and i hope now that everyone knows he is in fact a bastard that he's able to reconnect w his half sister and i hope she's as cool and nice as he is. nikolai deserves to have family who loves him just as much as he loves them

- which also brings me to Vasily. i loved the nikolai back story because it served as such a good foundation for why he is the way he is. how he loved and respected vasily so much only for vasily in turn to literally just not give two shits abt nikolai. that early realization of how no one truly cares abt him or his feelings or others or the people of ravka in that palace, was the core of why he became the person he is today and it all just made it make *sense*

- im glad him and zoya got to makeout uwu

- can i cry abt the crows again because was actually deadass my favorite chapter and everyone still being family even tho they're not all together just ughhhhh, makes my heart swell.

-everytime Nina named each other of the crows and why she missed them 🥺
