Oh boy has he. His first and only love in life was for a woman that ended up not only betraying him but also his entire clan. It still hurts for him to talk about, and nobody except those he is closest to knows his damage. He was devoted to her, was ready to die for her and has at several points risked his life for her. But she turned out to only be using him, and it’s caused him to pretty much swear off romance for the rest of his life. I do think it’s possible for him to open his heart again, but it’ll be hard to.. and someone VERY VERY special has to come along for that. 

🧡 Who is your OC’s favourite person? Why is this person the top of their list and have they actually met them

E’lija doesn’t exactly have anybody that he idolizes, but the people he is closest to by far are Brigid ( @ancientechos‘s OC).

Brigid is something of a mother figure to E’lija. It took a while for the two to grow attached, seeing as they have radically different personalities. But E’lija admires Brigid’s calm and headstrong personality. Brigid would often look out for E’lija, gave him advice even if he didn’t want to be given advice. And he eventually befriends Brigid’s daughter Lyra and becomes a big brother figure to her. These two just sort of.. understand one another - as odd as that is to say. And he’s the most aggressively protective of Brigid out of anybody else in the group.

😊 What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down?

E’lija laughs really easily. He finds the corniest and stupidest of jokes hilarious to the point that it’s kind of an annoyance to people he travels with. When he’s feeling particularly vulnerable and upset though, some form of light teasing would cause E’lija to let out a chuckle in response. Above all else, he appreciates when people are just there for him, rather than attempting to get him to talk about why he’s upset. 

🍆 Tea or Coffee or Hot Chocolate? Sweet or Spicy? Fruits or Vegetables?

Hot chocolate, but tea is a close second for him! He has a rather low spicy tolerance, so he’d prefer sweet. And he has no real preference between fruits and vegetables. He grew up in an environment where he couldn’t exactly afford to be picky with what he ate. But since fruits were far less common back then, he’d probably prefer to have those over vegetables.
