I don’t think I need to tell you about it, but checkra1n, which is a bootrom-level jailbreak for many iPhone models ranging from the iPhone 5s to the iPhone X, is a must for a mobile forensic expert. The jailbreak supports iOS 12.3 through iOS 13.7, and even iOS 14 for the iPhone 6 and iPhone SE. In mobile forensics, jailbreaks are routinely used to perform file system extractions. If you don’t caret about the authenticity and repeatability of the process, you can even do it without any kind of forensic tools, just with ssh and tar. قصة جيلبريك بنكهة عربية

كانت البداية مع ثغرة sock_port التي قام بكتابتها من الصفر المطور Jake James والتي تم استخدامها في أكثر من جيلبريك للإصدارات السابقة وكان يقوم بتطويرها باستمرار. وما حدث أن قام الخبير التقني العربي الليبي أحمد الديب من إثبات فاعلية تلك الثغرة على تحديث iOS 12.4 واكتشف أنها تعمل بدون أدنى مشكلة، ولم يصدقه المطورون بداية ولكن أخيرا بعدما جربوا تلك الثغرة قاموا بالاعتذار له وشكره على هذا الاكتشاف المذهل ووصفه بالأمر الذي لا يصدق، وأصبح هناك جيلبريك لأحدث أجهزة آبل.

ويقول أحمد على حسابه في تويتر: حتى لا يتم ظلم المطور Jake صاحب ثغرة sock_port ‏أنا لم أقم باكتشاف وكتابة الثغرة! ‏كل ما فعلته هو اني اول من أثبت فاعليتها على إصدار iOS 12.4 ‏وتعمل بدون اي مشاكل… نعم المطورين لم يصدقو في البداية. ولكن أخيرا استمعوا لكلامي وأصبح هناك جيلبريك على iOS 12.4.

ثم قام أحد الباحثين الأمنيين من فريق Pwn20wnd من استغلال تلك الثغرة واستخدامها في كسر حماية نظام التشغيل iOS وعمل جيلبريك لأحدث اصداراته.

الغريب في الأمر أن آبل كانت قد اكتشفت تلك الثغرة قبل تحديث iOS 12.3 وقامت بإصلاحها، ولكنها قامت بإلغائها عن طريق الخطأ في تحديث iOS 12.4.

لذلك الجيلبريك لا يعمل على الإصدار 12.3، ويجب أن تحدث جهازك بأحدث إصدار

هل هذا الجيلبريك مستقر؟

بالفعل قام بعض الأشخاص ممن يمتلكون أحدث هواتف آبل آي-فون X و X Max بعرض نجاح عملية الجيلبريك على أجهزتهم على مختلف مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ووصفوه بالمستقر، لكن الجميع في انتظار تحديث السيديا والأدوات للتوافق بالكامل مع الجيلبريك الحديث. الصورة السابقة من جهازي آي-فون 6 وبالفعل تحتاج السيديا إلى تحديث وكذلك الأدوات.

اضرار الجيلبريك

لا شك أن أغلبنا يعلم أضرار الجيلبريك جيدا وعلى رأس تلك الأضرار هو انهيار صندوق الرمل Sandbox الذي يمنع التطبيقات من الوصول إلى بيانات التطبيقات الأخرى أو بيانات النظام مما يؤدي إلى هروب التطبيقات منه وسرقة بيانات المستخدم.

كذلك تسلل الصفحات الضارة واستغلال متصفحات جهازك، هذا غير تعرض الجهاز لعوامل أخرى خطيرة مثل إعادة التشغيل المتكررة وزيادة حرارته بشدة في بعض الحالات على غير المعتاد. فإذا كنت لا تحتاج إلى الجيلبريك فنأى بجهازك ونفسك عن مشاكله.

ومن المحتمل أن تصدر آبل تحديث iOS 12.4.1 في الأيام القليلة القادمة لسد تلك الثغرة.

وحتى ذلك الحين يوصى بأن يكون المستخدمين على حذر من التطبيقات التي يقومون بتثبيتها من متجر التطبيقات، لأنه من الممكن أن يحتوي تطبيق ما على نسخة من تلك الثغرة لكسر الحماية.

◉ تأكد بأنك تحتاج إلى كسر حماية جهازك وحقن الجيلبريك فيه وأن جهازك ليس عليه بيانات مهمة جدا أو أي بيانات لحسابات مصرفية.

◉ يفضل بأن يكون جهازك على أحدث إصدار ليكون الجيلبريك مستقرا.

◉ قم بأخذ نسخة احتياطية قبل القيام بأي شيء فقد يتعرض جهازك إلى مشكلة ما، مثل الوقوف على شعار آبل التفاحة وتضطر إلى عمل استعادة وعندها تفقد كل شيء.

◉ تابع الخطوات بدقة شديدة وأهمها جعل الآي-فون على وضع الطيران، وإزالة جميع التطبيقات في الخلفية من خلال تعدد المهام “توقف الجيلبريك معي بسبب هذا وتم اكتماله بعد أن قمت بإزالة جميع التطبيقات من الخلفية من خلال تعدد المهام بالضغط على زر الهوم مرتين ثم سحب التطبيقات لأعلى” .
