you know what’s been on my mind recently? allmight the hero has always had part of OFA lost (and inching closer to his end as a hero) due to him sacrificing himself for katsuki.
during the sludge villain his time in his allmight/OFA form was lowered, during kamino he lost OFA entirely and couldn’t be “allmight,” but Allmight still existed as a vestige in OFA, and now once again we are setting up for “allmight” (OFA) sacrificing itself to save bakugou from death. it’s interesting because as allmight he always failed to reach katsuki’s heart, only saving him physically, but it is when allmight (with OFA) no longer physically existed — when he is toshi — that he connects to katsuki and is reminded that he too, is only a boy, and who gives him the formula to become the greatest hero.
it makes this card moment much more impactful, because it reminds us of that fact — katsuki is just a boy who wanted to be like his favorite hero, and in an act of self sacrifice to save/win (that hypocritical gremlin) he is regretting not asking for an autograph.
there’s an interesting concept to discuss surrounding allmight the hero as part of OFA slowly going away as bakugou is growing into his own hero who saves to win. each moment of allmight saving him has been a big step in changing how he sees the world and his ideals in relation to allmight, and each time he grows closer to the hero to occupy half of allmight’s legacy (the one who’s a leader that inspires others to win just as allmight inspires him to win) allmight with OFA gets closer to becoming toshi and him being quirkless again.
from @pikahlua’s post/meta about this chapter with 2nd’s quirk being switch and bakugou’s vestige being in place of allmights in OFA and izuku becoming the greatest hero with katsuki together (in his head lol), i honestly believe that toshi sacrificing his vestige self (allmight the hero as apart of OFA) is him taking a back seat and letting katsuki and izuku fulfill their greatest heroes destiny/goal seeing how bakugou grew as a hero and matched izuku — his sacrifice this chapter mimicking izuku proves it. he’s preventing bakugou’s death (his spiritual one at least, i do think bakugou physically is dead for the moment) and giving him an opportunity to still be by deku’s side this fight. “allmight” is no more both physically and in OFA, but katsuki and izuku in OFA = allmight, and izuku is still there physically so together they’re allmight physically too (pika explains it better lol).
also, if the 2nds quirk is switch, it gives deku a chance to save bakugou by returning his spirit to his body! it’s about time bakugou accepted deku’s hand for him to save him, right?
i do think this moment had so much emotional weight behind it because bakugou truly believes he’s going to die despite his spirit going into OFA because his physical body is dead, and even if second’s quirk could give his spirit/soul back to his body it has no life in it. no doubt the news of his temporary death is going to impact a lot of people (the class/friends/teachers) as well and the morale of everyone in this battle (i want hori to milk the bakugou-dying-inspiring-them-to-win-and-stay-alive angst out of this lol).
i believe that physical toshi is fine (in fact, i believe kamino did the duty of separating toshi and “allmight the hero with OFA” as allmight uses up the last embers he had of the quirk to defeat AFO. OFA is no longer inside of him, but his heroic will as allmight still resides in OFA). i want him to see his legacy and impact stretch from izuku and katsuki to the class like what stain told him about and aizawa foreshadowed before. i want him to witness the new generation upholding what he represented, but making society better. there’s been too much riding on changing fate and him choosing to live and find purpose as toshi for him to die now. (i could go into detail about how bakugou really sees toshi as a person outside of OFA and his flaws, and how him being in toshi’s life brings out a bit of his humanity seen from his connections with bakugou and how it connects to all this but that’s a post for another day lol).

Dragon Lands ch. 20
Back in their (temporary) cave, Kagome sat on the edge of the bed and watched as Inu-Yasha paced the cave. “What is it?” she asked.
Inu-Yasha jumped to sit on the bed next to Kagome. “How can dragons be smart and stupid at the same time?” he demanded.
People had frequently asked Kagome the same question about Inu-Yasha. “What happened?” she asked, instead of answering.
“Okay, so they’re smart enough to know that they shouldn't hunt all the game out of the local area, and to prepare for the influx of patients that they’ll probably get now that Naraku has set his sights on the Dragon Lands.”
Kagome wasn’t sure it was something the dragons had come up with on their own; it sounded more like something Izuku would suggest. She had the impression that he thought about consequences before he acted; something no few of her friends could start doing. She said nothing though, wanting to know what Inu-Yasha thought they were being stupid about.
“Then they start arguing about whether or not they should tell their mate that his parents are dying!”
“They’re dying?” Kagome gasped. She didn’t know about that…
Inu-Yasha gave her a dark look. “They’re being controlled by Naraku,” he said flatly. “And they’re fighting.”
Kagome winced. She knew what that meant—they’d seen it all before. At first, Naraku would find the fact they were fighting, rebelling against whatever he was doing to them—amusing. He would toy with them. Then, if they broke, they’d be his puppets. If they didn’t break—they had a long, debilitating illness that killed them slowly and painfully. The whole time they were dying he would taunt them with how they could have lived if they had just broken. It was what had happened to Sango’s family.
Inu-Yasha nodded grimly. “They’ve been bonded for a good half-year, and he ran from Naraku almost another half-year before that.” he told her. “I don’t imagine their deaths are far off.”
“No,” Kagome whispered sadly. She remembered the pain that Sango had gone through, watching her family. They’d all tried to help, but—but it had been too late. Once the dead have risen again under Naraku’s control, there is only one way to help.
Inu-Yasha fidgeted restlessly. “They were worried about the news being too much for their mate while he’s pregnant and I pointed out that receiving the news they died without any kind of warning would be worse.”
“True,” Kagome agreed. How much worse would Sango’s pain have been if, instead of doing everything she could to help her family, was just told one day they had died and how?
“And then they said he doesn’t know he’s pregnant!” ranted Inu-Yasha. “Seriously—how the hell can he not know he’s pregnant? He’s an omega and omegas can—”
“Not dragon omegas, according to Izuku.”
Inu-Yasha stared at her for a moment, ears twitching before he threw himself across the bed. He wasn’t sure why Kagome had packed the mattress, but he was glad she had. He liked the familiar scents of the two of them on it. “I don’t even know anymore,” he complained.
Kagome laid down next to him. “Me neither,” she agreed as she stared at the cave ceiling beyond the luxurious four-poster bed. Where had they even gotten it? She picked absently at the fabric of the sheets on the mattress as she remembered her conversation with Izuku. Talk to Inu-Yasha. “Hey,” she said as she picked at the fabric and stared at the ceiling, “what do you think of children?”
“Children in general or children like us having pups?” asked Inu-Yasha.
There were people who would have been surprised that Inu-Yasha, infamous for his temper and how he’d attack first ask questions later, would ask such a philosophical question. Kagome knew better. “Like us having pups,” she said, carefully not looking at him. She didn’t want him adjusting his answer to avoid upsetting her—she wanted the truth. Needed the truth.
“I don’t know. Sometimes I think it would be nice, us having a pup of our own. But I’ll tell you the truth Kagome—the thought of you getting pregnant scares the hell out of me.”
“What?” Kagome levered herself up onto one arm and looked at him in surprise. “Why?” she asked.
Now Inu-Yasha was the one carefully not looking at her. “There are—there are a lot things that can go wrong when someone's pregnant,” he said slowly. “We’ve seen that—when people ran to you thinking you were Kikyo and that you could somehow fix it.” He began plucking at the covering nervously, nails digging into the soft material. “Remember that woman by the falls? How she pushed and pushed but the baby was trying to come out wrong? I can’t forget the way she screamed.” He shook his head rapidly to shake the thoughts away. “I keep having nightmares,” he admitted, “only it’s you in the bed, trying to push the baby out. My baby—killing you.”
“Oh, Inu-Yasha,” said Kagome. She rolled over and cuddled close to him. For a moment—as old memories surfaced—he resisted, and then he pulled her close to him. “It will be okay,” she told him as she laid her head against his collarbone. He didn’t say anything—but gripper her tighter, clearly disagreeing with her. “It will be,” she insisted. “Unlike that woman we live near people who know what to do. Sango knows what to do Inu-Yasha. Kaede knows what to do. I’m sure we could even come back here where I’m certain Izuku knows what to do.” She nuzzled his chest gently. “I’ll be fine.”
“You keep almost dying,” Inu-Yasha whined. Suddenly he flung his head into the crook of her neck, nuzzling the bond mark. “I don’t know what would happen if I lost you,” he whispered.

Fic Recs
For @bakatora who - to my interpretation - asked for some heartwarming, uplifting plotty fics you can sink your teeth into and come out feeling better because reality is hard right now, which I honestly really need myself. I’ve been so busy with exams and essays for the past three weeks, I haven’t even been writing fanfic, I think this is actually the longest I’ve ever gone without writing something, and I’m still not finished. Last exam is on Friday, and then I’m gonna crash.
But anyway, I’ll list these by fandom since you said any, and most of them are complete too, hope you enjoy :)

Nobody's heroes by boleyn13
“This job... we try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody. But if we can't find a way to live with that, next time... maybe nobody gets saved.” At the end of the day Steve did save everybody. He saved Bucky from Tony, his team from the government, the world from the Sokovia Accords. Some time would probably have to pass for things to blow over, and then everything would go back to normal. Couple of days. Tops. After all Team Cap saved everybody, showing the world how dangerous the accords were, how easily they could be abused. Even their supporters had to come to their senses now. Yet five days after Siberia nobody feels safe. Things don’t calm down and suddenly it’s again Steve against the rest of the world. Only now it’s not some international organisation or government but the people. The ones he had saved. Slowly Captain America must realize that they don’t feel saved but angry, hurt and scared. The people demand justice for those who were really trying to save them and paid the price for it.

Teen Wolf
Naughty Hookers (Swathed in Wool) by pprfaith
Stiles is happy with his store, his hobbies, his friends. Peter's just trying to figure out how to raise his nieces and nephew without fucking them up too badly. Paths cross.
All In A Spin by ShippersList
Stiles can't really talk anymore but, with Peter, he realizes he doesn't have to. Even if their spoken communication consists of one swear word and stuttered syllables, they understand each other. And that's what counts.
If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out by mia6363
Commander Stilinski looked like he fell out of a propaganda video, his armor still smoking as he pulled off his helmet and handed it off to First Officer Argent. He had a few bruises down his neck but his smile was bright. “Glad to see you safe and sound, Mr. Hale. I’d hate for Derek to lose a member of his family.” “I told you,” Derek snapped at his superior, “he’s not worth this, Commander.”
Out Of The East, Never See The Sun Rise by ladypigswagon
In the beginning, there are three absolutes. One. Stiles is a god, forged of starlight and collapsing galaxies and he is eternal. Two. Peter is human, fragile bone and viscous blood and he is temporary. Three. Stiles and Peter are in love; love that claws its way inside one’s heart like fish hooks; all encompassing love that is beautiful but dangerous. Stiles is a god. Peter is human. They love each other. Three absolutes.
Save Me by DiscontentedWinter
Peter is the Alpha. He's nobody's savior. Not his pack's. Not his town's. And not that kid's. But sometimes salvation goes both ways.
Kitty Quintuplets by iCheat (short but hella fluffy if you need a pick-me-up)
Prompt: Imagine person A getting home really drunk one night and they tell person B that they're pregnant with kittens.
The Unexpected Marriage of Peter Hale by moonstalker24
This is the story of how Peter gets married without technically dating anyone. “You can bring your boyfriend with you,” Talia says. Peter stops giving Henry more bits of dried fruit to stare at his sister “Boyfriend?” “Of course!” Talia gestures at Stiles who looks around behind him with wide eyes. “I’m sure the whole family would be interested in meeting your young man.”
The Sphinx of Beacon Hills by Guede
Stiles is a sphinx, and he’s winging his way to visit his buddy Scott when a storm drops him in Beacon Hills, the craziest, crankiest, coldest place ever. And somehow, he ends up with a bunch of werewolves.
Proposing To Strangers by moonstalker24
At the end of a strained relationship, crime novelist Stiles chooses to hide from the world inside a bar with far too many motorcycles outside it for comfort. Here he'll meet the man of his dreams, eat food and propose marriage, all within the first five minutes. Peter doesn't know who this kid is, but he's cute and looks like he could use a break. So he feeds him. He's not expecting a marriage proposal, but with what comes after, he doesn't really mind.
it's not the color i came in by nezstorm
Stiles is a bit of an anomaly among the Omegas he knows, or everyone on the spectrum really. For him, heats are about comfort and safety, and not at all about sex.
Whiskey is My Kind of Lullaby by taylorpotato
Peter is a simple saloon owner on one of the outer planets between the Aaru Belt and the Olympus Galaxy. He’s done with trouble. Done with adventure. So fucking done with rustlers. That is, until a cute young outlaw named Stiles wanders into his bar. Peter has this problem where he can’t seem to resist charming narcissists (perhaps because they remind him of himself). And when said narcissists turn his life upside-down, the worst part is he’s not even that upset about it.

Cardcaptor Harry by LunaStorm (Cardcaptor SakuraxHP)

i blinked (and there you were) by Della19 (Doctor WhoxKingsman)
The Weeping Angels, Eggsy reads on the stolen Torchwood intel. Aliens that pose as statues, and kill their victims by sending them back in time and feeding off their years not lived in the present. The politest psychopaths in the universe, a note reads, scrawled in what looks like a doctor’s chicken scratch on the edge of the page by someone who clearly had a perverse sense of humour. A one way trip, the report concludes; you get transported by the angels, and it’s the slow road back to the present for you. Eggsy lays his head back on the wall, takes stock of his situation. He’s lost 30 years - three years more than his entire lifespan up ’til now - in the blink of an eye, and now he’s stuck here, in 1988. Three years before he’s even born. Arthur, the prick, is sure to be heading up the Kingsmen, and Merlin, if he’s even there would be…20, maybe. Fuck, so fucking young. Shite, even Harry’d only be… Alive, Eggsy thinks, and finds himself sitting down hard from where his knees can’t hold him. This is 1988, and Harry’s 23, and alive. Suddenly, being stuck in 1988 doesn’t seem so bad. Or, the one where love means changing the future.
