If the name sounds familiar it's likely as he was the creator of The Sweeney and worked on many other popular UK TV shows of the 60's and 70's such as Redcap and The Onedin Line. His older brother was Troy Kennedy Martin whose screenwriting credits included Z Cars, The Italian Job, Kelly's Heroes and Edge of Darkness. Not bad.
