into the deep end - 30k T orufrey fic, focusing on memory trauma, disability, and romance.
the sweet oblivion of the victim, the poisoned freedom of the other.
for one moment - it had felt like two parts returned - the needed reunion of two disparate halves. no more secrets, no more pain.
the moment you get to give back what you never wanted to take. that moment, under the night-blooming flowers, when they had both let out the same single broken sigh of relief.
but they were never whole to begin with, were they?
qifrey swore he wouldn't say 'sorry' to this man any more if he could help it - sorry is cheap now. he didn't want to be in a position ever again where you only have 'sorry' left. so he just looks down into the threads of his blanket, strains his eye until it hurts, feeling his insides - his throat, heart and head - burn with pain. he expects more, but olly says nothing.
olly says nothing.

"best genderbent character fanarts are when they look exactly the same" so true and I love this forever and I understand this sentiment being pushed in direct opposition to fanart that completely removes a male character's specific traits to make them Generic Hot Woman but as someone who likes to think way too much about character designs my ideal is that one day I see genderbent posts that are in the happy middle where there's changes but they were made with actual thought

idk how serious this thought is but like. what if the prologue of the library keeper is about mordred and how he's destined to die. and then you have most of the book to forget about it, until you meet him in morielle, and you keep reading waiting for him to die. and it doesn't happen. he just keeps living. you think the story begins with mordred, but it actually starts with ahuru. you just dont know it yet.

once again thinking about how in disney's robin hood (1973), prince john and richard the lionheart are depicted as lions which obviously means that eleanor of aquitaine in that universe is a lioness.

IDW1 must take place on an alternate Earth where no one has ever heard of ACAB and everyone wears "thin blue line" merchandise because there's literally no other way that a single Autobot killing a USAmerican cop in self defense would be such worldwide news that even Mexican journalists would go "OMG???? You like, killed a cop?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?" and it wasn't even framed as like, "you killed a human," the phrasing every time any character talked about it was very specifically "he killed a cop".
The cop was also threatening to shoot a group of surrendering/not-attacking/injured Autobots btw which is just the icing on the cake honestly lmao

I'm not even sure if all of these dropped today or if I'm just way out of the loop but...
Destiny Seeker premiered today on WeTV but it's geolocked AND doesn't have subs. I'll always have a soft spot for uni BLs so I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully they're release it later for interfans. They recently added subs to their trailer so fingers crossed:
Love Syndrome got another trailer, too (serious content warning for SA - please be safe and watch at your own risk) but it's mostly old stuff with a couple of new scenes. No confirmed release for interfans yet - which is kind of understandable considering the heavy non-con elements. I'm probably going to watch it anyway (subs or no subs) because I like the cast and I read the books (why??) but... poor Itt. Poor Mac. Poor every single "uke" in this show because the author has a major non-con kink and NEVER deviates from it.
Meanwhile, Future (aka the Love Mechanics spin-off with the cute medicine and engineering students) finally has a release: 12 March on Rookie Thailand's youtube channel. I'm really excited for this one - but I'm low-key disappointed the two leads are no longer wearing braces (like they both did in Love Mechanics). It was kind of cute and charming and different (*I'm also still hopeful for a Tossara remake with the new actors if enough people watch Future and Call My Name - the spin-off about Vee's brother that's apparently also still happening... and, hey, where's my This is Love Story remake with PromMark?)
Chains of Heart (which will be premiering on 19 March on gagaoolala) has been drip-feeding us content these past few weeks. They've released another short trailer but this one doesn't have any subs, either. Watch it anyway because this show is giving major Manner of Death/KinnPorsche vibes.

Pro tip: if you want to get a bunch of blood tests and a urine test and a chest x-ray done for any reason, just casually say you were wondering about doing some bloodwork since it's been a little bit plus you've been having some night sweats recently, and then you get everything thrown at the wall...
Looking at the lab bill, the tests are for: a “general health panel," CRP levels, HIV, tuberculosis, HGB levels, glucose levels, and a urinalysis. And then the chest x-ray is separate.
But also, even with insurance, my estimate is over $100 for all that lab work lol. (yay american healthcare...) And I think the x-ray will be about $37 if it's the same price as the one I just got for my rib injury less than a month ago... But she said she wants a different type (angle?) since she's looking at my organs rather than bones.
