i’m not ready yet / IDFK

It’s been over a year since I started working on these projects. when I started, I was in a very dark place emotionally and mentally, and I can’t say that things have gotten any brighter.

IDFK and i’m not ready yet, was initially supposed to be one album, but as I watched the album keep growing, the album began to sound too in-cohesive and became too long (21 tracks). Therefore, I made the decision to split it into 2 different projects, as a way of giving each project its own direction. When I was thinking about projects that I’ve released in the past, I realized that my music couldn’t be played in the whip or couldn’t have someone dancing. I feel like I was too preoccupied with trying to make a music with a message. With IDFK and i’m not ready yet, I wanted to make songs that are catchy, yet true to my creative sensibilities.

IDFK is an album for hip hop lovers like myself. I wanted to blend different styles of the genre and create an album that wasn’t focused on trends that are taking over music in 2018. Trends die, and I don’t want my music to die when the trend does. The same goes for i’m not ready yet, even though it is only a 7 song project.

Both of these projects contain sounds that I believe to be unique to myself, which was one of my main goals that I set out for when creating them. I won't release too much info about the content, but I have faith that whoever is reading this will enjoy these projects, you will be able to tell how much love and effort I put into these projects.
