Ken calls me his "sweet, divine, beautiful girl" (while counting the adjectives on his fingers, for emphasis) but he says "sweet girl" for short. I got the idea because Margot Robbie said in a very early Barbie press interview "Ryan improvised a line during the 'sublime' scene where he instead shouted... what did he say? 'My sweet girl'!" and I thought to myself "ohhh that's so perfect!!!" I always love implementing nicknames with my main F/Os and making them special. I love "baby" "sweetheart" "darling" etc etc but I REALLY have such a soft spot for nicknames that F/Os would call me and nobody else, something that's personal to them, and vice versa. I thought it was perfect. I like the idea of Barbie calling me that too ;u; sounds so lovely in her voice.

But later when the behind the scenes footage was released in iMax theaters, the phrase he shouted was actually "my divine girl", not sweet girl like Margot had said. But I had gotten SO ATTACHED to being Ken's Sweet Girl™ for two months, I didn't want to change it, couldn't even consider it. I decided to just add to it... "sweet, divine" girl, but he'd still just say sweet girl most of the time for short. Problem solved. BUT THEN I had a dream shortly after, where he was teary-eyed, holding me, sobbing "my beautiful girl, my beautiful girl". And I woke up immediately fueled with the power of ten thousand suns saying "okay so I'm Ken's sweet, divine, beautiful girl. got it. got it. cool, coolcoolcool, so cool." We'll see if a fourth adjective comes into play someday 😂😂

YOU'RE SOOO RIGHT!!!! HE ABSOLUTELY DESERVES BOYFRIEND OF THE YEAR AWARD 🥺🥺🥺🥺 he and Barbie are solely responsible for all of the joy I have felt in the last few months when I have needed them both the most!!! And it's because of them that I'm gaining so many new F/Os exploring Ryan/Margot movies. I am giving Barbie and Ken ALL of the awards!!!! 🏆🥇✨

I am EXTREMELY in love with your story. You, in a way, fulfilled my dream of seeing Alucard - in the form of Vlad - and Integra - with an eye patch - together. I'm SO HAPPY, I can't put it into words, and I'm extremely looking forward to the next few chapters. I would like to ask you not to give up on the story and not take too long to update, please. Sorry if I sound a little desperate, actually I'm really looking forward to it, but I can take it.

I can't believe the positive response I've gotten from this fic. I really didn't think it would have done as well as it has, but I'm just so pleased (and genuinely surprised) that others are enjoying it!

I am most definitely going to be finishing this story. My posting schedule is a little off right now, but I am still editing in the meantime. Real life obligations have me a little stressed, and I want to be in the right frame of mind when writing this final arc. I think it will pay off in the long run. 😉

That being said, there's probably not going to be an update this week, but I'm shooting for next week(end).

Din feels his eyes fall halfway shut, lulled by the warm water and the baby’s happy sounds. He’s on the verge of drifting to sleep when he feels the brush of the washcloth against his bare stomach under the water, and the pressure of Peli’s fingers behind it, sweeping the cloth against his skin. His abs tighten automatically at the feel of her hand on his skin and when he opens his eyes she has a strange look on her face, all soft and curious.

“Do you want to…?” she trails off, offering him the cloth.

Thanks @mourningbirds1 🥰 Okay, so this was me dipping my toes in the water (no pun intended) of Din/Peli as a pairing. I thought about taking them all the way~ because I DO find this potential sexual dynamic and their height difference very intriguing, but. The baby was right there in the tub with them so I couldn’t make it happen, lol. But I love considering her as one of the few safe people Din knows he can go to. I like imagining that her irreverent nature loosens him up a little, and that his gentleness towards the baby and kindness to people who deserve it and his generosity with money pleasantly surprise her (recall her italicized oh in response when he thanks her in episode 1x05 😩). I imagine she is probably a bit touch- and affection-starved herself and in this scene you quoted I think… they both got a little lost in the moment and curious about what could be, while not actually being in a place to take it a step further.

So maybe some day I’ll write something explicit between them. In the meantime, I sometimes like to dream of her taking him to the imaginary rooftop patio I’ve made up for her in my mind* where they lounge in a hammock under the stars as the heat of the desert day fades and she gets him a little buzzed on a bottle of space ouzo.

Finally, a fun trivia fact about this fic is it's the only one I've ever gotten a rude comment on, from someone who asked in disgust if I was aware she's old enough to be his mother 🙄 (extra offensive because the age gap between Pedro and Amy is the same as the one between him and me, just in the other direction lolllll)

*I think I made this up but there’s a chance I might have stolen it from @fleetwoodmactshirt‘s mind, as happens on occasion when you share a braincell. She IS 100% to blame for shipping this pairing in the first place, I can tell you that much.

I am SO SORRY it took me so long to get around to properly answer this ask! I've had it in my inbox for what feels like forever; my apologies about that! I've been so busy with moving preparations, work, etc. so there has not been much down time to spend on my blog, other than quick reblog here and there or adding stuff to queue. Not that I'm excusing myself for leaving you hanging for so long, you deserve proper and quick responses!

I'm doing all right, darling, just coping as best I can with everything new that is happening in my life. Yes, I've been very disconnected with my f/os this year. I am hoping that once I've gotten moved in and have more time to myself to relax and destress that I will be able to reconnect with them, but as for now, my f/os are so nonexistent that most days I feel as though I'm not a selfshipper anymore. I still am, though it does not feel that way. I did recently connect with an old f/o who comes around every once in a while and that's been quite nice. Other than that, most of my time is spent on home preparations and work.

How have things been with you? I've noticed you've been a bit more active on Tumblr and was hoping to reach out and see how you've been doing. Your kind words mean the world to me, darling, I am hopeful my f/os will come around once I'm not under so much pressure and stress.
