Staff transfers here have been amazing so far! Mainly cuz at my JHS an awesome JTE I worked with at another school came in. And at my ES it’s mostly folks from the smaller ES that closed and a few folks that I had worked with or met prior!

Just a shame this is happening a few months before I finish JET. Gonna enjoy it while I can.

In 2021, I moved to rural Japan to work as an English teacher. I lived in the mountains and got to wake up to the most beautiful views everyday.

I’m back in the States now, but always feel a sense of peace and serenity when I look back on my time there 🌸

This interesting property in Japan is available for free. It’s located on a small island where the population has dwindled to less than 200. The listing describes the property as perfect for someone who can be satisfied with ”nothing”. You can sustain yourself with abundant seafood from the ocean and vegetables which you can grow yourself on a garden plot which comes with the property. There’s an old fashioned storehouse as well. The listing describes the property as move-in ready with a little cleanup.
