The Classes
I imagine there are five classes: The Old Families, The Elites, The Specialists, The Working Population, and The Trafficks

basically, the old families are families such as the Snows, the Ravinstills, Creeds, Cranes, other families Coriolanus' classmates come from
originally, these families were people who owned, land, companies, industries, resources, or people
after the cataclysm, people who lived in the bunkers/shelters in the Rocky Mountains were technically the most safe and resource stable from dealing with the elements and nuclear chemicals
this lead to them promising they would provide protection and resources to nearby groups of small people, they would invest resources and sums of money to these small states
eventually, they took greater control and ended up treating these people like slaves/servants by manipulating their inflow of food and income
the shelter in the Rocky Mountains become known as the Capitol, and was built off from there
several Districts were created from the nearby small states
the main investors (also known at the time as the overlords), became known as the Old Families, for investing so greatly and helping build and develop the Capitol
other than investors, The Old Families would come from people who made revolutionary technology/discoveries such as scientists, medics, and inventors
The Elites

The Elites are people who do have connections, investments, and power, but they kind of joined later in the party
as mentioned before, The Old Families go way back to the cataclysm days, The Elites kind of popped up after things got a bit more stable in the economy/world
that's not to say they're not respected, they just don't have that bond y'know. but they do play almost the exact same roles as some of The Old Families, they just aren't old money
usually, their last names aren't set in stone and aren't really as useful. for example, lets say two people apply to a job as an assistant gamemaker. one is incredibly poor, but does have a last name coming from one of The Old Families. the other is rich, but their last name isn't as cemented and well known, there isn't a legacy, but that person did work very hard, that person is an Elite
The Old Family person is more likely to be hired since they do have more connections, despite usually having less skill and money
The Elites also consist of main game staff, (escorts, designers, mutt people, gamemakers), their family and their descendants/relatives, and it's a lot of people who are friends with people and are related to people

It was then that triads shifted activities and started teaming up with entrepreneurs and investing in legitimate domestic and overseas business practices, some of which the firm handles. Pagan Min, King of Kyrat, is also a client.
Her father monopolized these connections to start his own operation and slowly began to branch out to the cartel and other drug, human, and weapons traffickers such as Hoyt Volker.
Access to wealthy Chinese investors is central to the layering techniques the operation uses to "wash" the money.
Brianne became her father's trusted courier. During travel for her legit client liaison's job, she schedules pick-ups of money and oversees the transfers through various subsidiaries.
Travel is often via private jet to ensure the safe transfer of funds.
Of course, Brianne has qualms about it, but she didn't say no.

I applied for the Wotc strategic communications response position and this was my cover letter
As you probably know, Wizards has been in hot water more than a couple times in the past 3 years. They recently put out a call for a specialist, so they’ll be ready the next time the flumph hits the fan, and I applied. I thought I’d share my cover letter. Hi, I’m Parrish. I first played Magic in 1994, and then started playing D&D a year later with the same group of friends, so it’s always felt natural to me that the two brands ended up together at Wizards. I’ve been a Dungeon Master for decades now, and I would love the opportunity to use my storytelling skills to engage the community as the Director of Strategic Response Communications. For the past four years, I’ve been working in communications and public relations for my local county government, and it’s been eye-opening to be outside the gaming industry for a change. I’ve built partnerships across other departments, coordinated with contracts and legal to ensure policy compliance, led rapid strategic response to crisis situations, and advised on press releases, while keeping external communications politically neutral. I’ve also been an active member of our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and a champion of that work.  Prior to that, I was representing Nintendo as an agency consultant. I started with them in a Product Specialist role in 2011, but was promoted to a management position within a year, where I trained staff working for Nintendo in public-facing roles to ensure consistent on-brand communications. Nintendo’s client base is very similar to Wizards, and not just demographically; like Nintendo, Magic and D&D fans are loyal to their core. They want to see their favorite brand succeed, but they also take it very hard when it lets them down. My degree in economics and training in data analytics allows me to leverage data-driven insights: tracking fan feedback, updating my team, and adjusting communication strategies to make sure fans know we’re listening. When the big N jumped agencies three and a half years later, they were obviously happy with my work, because they invited me to join them in the transition. I continued representing Nintendo in corporate communications, marketing, and public relations roles at that new agency through 2019. I should probably mention that I’m a game designer. I’ve worked on a number of card games, including Ascension, and I published my own lightweight RPG three years ago. As a publisher, I worked with a small marketing team to coordinate communications across social media platforms and established relationships with a broad range of media partners. I have appeared on podcasts to promote my game, and I’m a regular on a stream for game designers and other professionals. I’ve also worked on a few unrelated teams that produced 5e content and crowdfunded successfully. I am a master of cross-functionality, and would be eager to work with your creative and design teams, collaborate with the folks on product and brand management, advise on marketing, and stay connected to investor relations. I know it has been a rollercoaster these past few years, for both Mtg and D&D, but I’m here for the ride! In the past, I've managed customer expectations and avoided unforced errors through forecasting, so my teams have been ready for what's coming next. Strategic communications response is a bit like a game of Magic. I don’t want to be waiting to top deck an answer to a threat after it hits the board. When an opponent casts their bomb, the best practice is to already have two islands open. When I’m part of your team, I’ll be there to say, “Wait, I have a response.”

I am right here.
Keep going, I was just speculating. Anyway, PR stands for Public Relations, and what people like moi do is try to present a good, positive image of the company and its members, and also, through media and connecting with other businesses, good relations with the public. Hence the name!
There's actually many different types of PR because of the many different groups a company has to interact with, but to keep it short and sweet, I mainly specialize in media relations. Hence my idea for Clay's little blog here so you could get to know him better!
That's her main wheelhouse anyway. She does keep 'n eye on the other branches a' PR, like government relations, investors relations, an' so forth, but she's best with media so we also have specialists there ta maintain those.
And Clay takes care of most internal relations, though I keep telling him it'd be easier to to just leave it to-
I made sure ta know all my employees and their needs then, and I prefer knowin' them now.
