A RECURRING MOVIE PROP IN THE WORLD OF TIM BURTON -- THE IRON MAIDEN TORTURE DEVICE.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on American actress/model & Tim Burton's then girlfriend, Lisa Marie Smith, photographed emerging from an iron maiden medieval torture device, c. 1994. 📸: Tim Burton.
The torture device/movie prop was first featured in "Batman Returns" (1992) as a disguised entrance to the Batcave, and then again seven years later in the gothic supernatural horror film "Sleepy Hollow" (1999) as a means to execute Lisa Marie's character in said film.
